You'll then see signs and two purple flags and a Porta potty in the parking lot. Geisbauer road is like walking on beach sand. Hours: 8am-12noon daily 6pm-8pm sunset picking Fri and Sat Parking: You see the purple flags, park and walk in. They didn't have designated handicap parking but they do have closer parking if you drive past the flags and parallel park along the fence. We were the first at 8am to beat the heat. Cost: $10 pint $20 quart Cash or Credit Tips: -Wear a hat -Sunblock -Water -Wear close toed shoes -Watch out for fire ants! One crawled up my boots and bite my leg. -We brought gloves to avoid the berry juice -We shared 1 quart size -Bring a cooler if you have a long drive -You may sample 1 or 2 while picking -An area with picnic tables in the shade -Bring step stool if you want the kiddos to reach the higher branches I actually found blueberry picking to be more satisfying than blackberries. At least with blueberries, they were ripe and you look for the largest one. Blackberries are different because you only pick the black ones and ignore the red ones. Takes more effort to look for ripe ones that are decent in size to fill up our bucket. You'll have to look high and low. It can also get messy. When I paid, I asked for tips. He said he saw ripe ones on the left. So we went straight there and glad we did because other aisles were either red or empty. It's great for first time experience but I don't see us coming back next year unless there are more activities like food trucks, boutique vendors, blackberry snacks. I appreciate them opening the farm to the public but the heat seems to affect the berries and need more water and maintenance. Also I think it's towards end of July so it was a bit run down as more people attend.

The vibrant color and soothing scent are instantly relaxing. So many soothing benefits. The farm is beautifully maintained, and there's something special about breathing in the fresh lavender-scented air while wandering through the fields. There are bees, as to be expected (lol), but that's something to keep in mind. They also offer quality lavender products (like soaps, lotions, and oils) that make perfect gifts or personal treats. These can easily be ordered online as well. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Whether you're stopping by for photos, to shop, or simply to enjoy a peaceful afternoon surrounded by blooming lavender, it's a wonderful experience. For the You-Pick Event, admission is $30 per group (As of 06/30/2025), which includes time on the farm and a tube to fill with lavender, no matter the size of your group. Extra tubes are $10. If you don't want to pick, you can use your admission toward $30 worth of farm-made lavender products. Either way, it's a win-win. If you missed their You-Pick Event, don't worry, they often extend the dates, like they did this year! Lavender typically blooms from mid-June to mid-July, so be sure to check their website. Use the directions provided on their website; they're simple to follow, and watch for the signage too. Also, note that the road is unpaved in parts, so drive with a bit more caution.

Its the experience I was looking for, not simply just seeking lavender. Overall Loved it, crowd was very low key. Beautiful views, there were picnick tables. For me it was worth the 30 admission for a group, their page literally says "A group is anyone who comes with you 2 or 20," and includes time here on the farm and a tube to use to fill with lavender. I got a decent amount of lavender, looks like 500 or so stems. The young man inside was a fellow USD alumni always cool run into a fellow Torrero. The lavender is organic, so safe make things with. Fun activity. Their shop had lavender soaps, spritz, balms, masks and sachets among options to buy. Based on the experience definitely worth the 30 admission, getting lost, and picking lavender.

Although we showed up near "closing" time, we did not feel rushed. There were multiple families still picking and others just enjoying the park/shade area. The drive to the farm was easy on a dirt road once you're on Avenida Del Oro, go through the entrance gate to the paved parking lot. You'll see the owner, Mr. Yu hanging out at the tables. He scanned our Groupon and gave us each a bag. Said no rules, we can go anywhere on the property. Also gave us a small bottle of freshly juiced OJ. I had my elderly mom with me and Mr. Yu suggested that we drive back out near the front entrance where the grounds are level. Otherwise, it would be too steep for my mom. I'm so glad he suggested this because we didn't have to hike up a slope, not many people come this way so there were many large tangerines up for grabs! Tips: -Sun hat -Sunscreen -Sunglasses -gloves -Closed toe shoes (slippery when wet) -Tools for easy snipping or to grab the ones up high -Gently twist, don't pull the fruit -You can sample while you pick! -Clean restrooms -pay at the end Over 35 acres of tangerines, the very top of the hill are avocados, the trees in front of the parking lot are lemons and on the other side are blueberries. The video you see on You Tube or their website is outdated. They do not have a restaurant or wedding area but they are working on rebooting this. The tangerines are so juicy with a mix of sweet and sour. They have limited hours on Saturday and Sunday only from 10-2. The Groupon deal asked for reservations. I wasn't a fan of this just because things could change so I sent an email asking how strict and got an automatic reply, same as the last with a form to fill out reservations. I wish it was more personable. When I got there, he only cared about scanning the Groupon. So I don't think they are strict if you were to just show up without a reservation. Be on the lookout for snakes!!! Stick to the trees that you can clearly see through the branches. Avoid the ones that are all bushy as if something could be hidden there. My mom saw a snake coiled up on the branch when she was about to stick her hand through.

I enjoyed petting them and feeding the animals and being able to spend that time with the animals unlike in a crowded carnival style place that has a petting zoo. The staff who greeted us at the front were super sweet and friendly and playful too which makes the place feel just like another alternate world full of good, happy people. They have a little shop full of chocolates and when you enter, a staff member offers you a sample. She asked what we would like to try while kids received a milk chocolate with sprinkles on it. Because they're probably made with a lot of love and labor, the chocolates aren't cheap but not ridiculously overpriced either. I'm for sure the type though who would have spent a lot more on the chocolates if the tickets were cheaper but that's just me. I'm sure the ticket sales are better. A lot of people do walk out with purchasing any chocolate when I was there. I had fun looking at all of them though and deciding what I wanted. I will be back again when my children are a little older and it's a good excuse to stop by a winery while you're in the area.

The important thing to note here is that they do a lot of weddings! Towards the beginning they were undergoing a lot of changes within staff and it was difficult initially to contact them or get a response which was extremely frustrating. Once it got closer to our wedding day we got a new coordinator named Tessa and she basically saved my sanity because from that moment on I had no issues and felt so prioritized. Be patient with them in the beginning because you're one of many brides they speak to on a daily basis. Once you're wedding day is actually there, it will be worth every single penny. The food was amazing, the DJ is so good and attentive, our day of coordinator Hayley was also really nice and Victoria made sure to ask me if I needed anything she was there to make it happen. I can't stress enough how incredibly beautiful our wedding was and every single guest told us the pictures of the venue we sent did not do it justice. Also, get the horse carriage it's such a beautiful moment I shared with my dad then with my husband. We saw Tessa the next day when I went to pick up some things we left behind and she asked where we were going for our honeymoon and literally within the hour of us leaving she emailed us so many great ideas and recommendations. Lake Oak Meadows is lucky to have someone like her that is so kind, reassuring, goes above and beyond expectations, and genuinely you can tell she loves what she does. Thank you to everyone who helped create our magical day sorry if I was a stressed wreck initially but you guys definitely delivered and made me look good because like I said I can't plan anything accordingly. To see how great it turned out you guys definitely know how to make everything feel perfect. 12.2.21
