This location needs to work on their customer service. I dined into this store this evening, and have never seen a bigger example of unprofessionalism. The two black shirt managers, one of them was Kylah F, were the most unprofessional out of all the employees. I had an error on my burger, so the manager came around the corner to reiterate that what was supposed to be on the burger was on it. I was also confused when they called my number because they failed to give me a receipt for my purchase. I watched the manager Kylah F talk trash about four customers in the duration of my meal. She slandered customers, used several expletives, and all around created an uncomfortable environment to eat in. It made it feel unsafe. The gentleman who is also a manager was egging her on as much as possible. Both managers spend their time texting on the phone in gloves, and then going right back to making your burger. It's unsanitary. I watched and heard Kylah say to another employee, "Yeah you keep fucking around." It was all around a poor experience, and wouldn't dine again at this location. I have written reviews for a few Five Guys over the years. And the one thing I always say is how consistent they are at every location. This one was no different. Quality burger and quality fries. Normally this would not be a road trip stop. But after trying to stop at a nearby iconic Atlanta place, the line wrapped around the building. But at the same time, we wanted somewhere that our 3 year olds could go to the bathroom. The location was big and the food was as expected. Since I was driving, I didn't want to go crazy with the toppings like I normally would. So not quite as good with some sauces and grilled onions. But still a solid burger. Their online process was not as good here as other locations. they go ahead and make it and leave it on the counter. Whereas other locations wait to get you the freshest fries possible. But those were also still really good. Typical great Five Guys experience. read more

Five guys burger and fries are really good, the low stars is about this franchise. This particular location lacks any drive from their employees. They do not engage with you while taking your order and are in no hurry to get your order made. The employees wear head phones and are constantly on their phones, even while you are talking to them. This type of work ethic comes from the top down, therefore the manager needs to be the one to set the tone. I do hope that this location can get its act together. With so many restaurants closing over the last year it would be sad to see this location disappear because of the employees inability to create a great experience. read more

This place should be 4 Stars at a minimum. I've ordered two different times at odd hours and the food has been solid. Fresh and well put together. Order was made quick too. The staff have been nice and attentive. A guy today actively ensured we got our order timely. Is the place the cleanest? Probably not. Do takeout or eat outside. I'm glad it's so close to home. This Five Guys is located on the ground level of the Spire building in Midtown. You can park for free for up to one hour in the Spire parking deck, which is accessed from 7th St. Five Guys faces Peachtree St. and is located next door to Gordon Biersch and across the street from the standalone Starbucks. Compared to other Atlanta area Five Guys locations I've been to (e.g. Westside, Smyrna), this one is huge. This place presumably gets a lot of lunch traffic during the week because at dinnertime and on the weekends, it's pretty quiet. While Five Guys is known for its burgers, I recommend trying their hot dogs. To me, their hot dogs are just as delicious and satisfying as their burgers. Five Guys offers four different kinds of hot dogs: 1. Kosher-style hot dog - $3.69 2. Cheese dog - $4.39 3. Bacon dog - $4.69 4. Bacon cheese dog - $5.39 I like to get the bacon cheese dog with raw and grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, ketchup, mustard, and relish. I also like how all the burgers and hot dogs are grilled fresh. The pork sausage in the bacon cheese dog is split open and slices of cheese are placed inside where they eventually melt. The bacon consists of a slice of bacon, which has been cut into smaller, bite-size crispy pieces. All toppings and condiments are placed on the hot dogs by the cooks, who then tightly wrap the hot dogs in a foil wrapper. Like the burgers, the hot dogs are messy and aren't the healthiest thing to eat, but they are oh so good. The hot dogs won't stuff you like the burgers will, but they're still super tasty. If you've never been to a Five Guys before, it's better to err on the small side when it comes to serving sizes. The burgers are dense and filling and the portion sizes for fries are enormous. A regular order of fries can easily be split among at least two people. Order the Cajun fries for extra flavor. Service at this location is friendly and efficient. read more

Fun fact: except for the buns, everything on the menu at Five Guys is gluten free. That's right. Skip the bun, and you can enjoy a safe, delicious GF burger and fries. The staff is well trained in food allergies, and they will tell the cook to change gloves before preparing your order, as well as put your tasty burger bowl in a separate bag. You can opt for a lettuce wrap if the idea of a burger salad doesn't work for you. I enjoy mine with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, grilled jalapeños and onions. I sometimes forget Five Guys cheeseburgers are doubles, so if you only need a single patty, opt for the little cheeseburger. They're generous with the fries, and a large order easily feeds three to four. On our last visit, the potatoes hailed from Neville Farms in Hamer, Idaho. I like knowing where my potatoes are farmed. It's a small but nice touch. So happy to have a midtown Five Guys only a fifteen minute walk from my home. (And a walk is definitely needed after a calorie-filled meal here.) This was absolutely the worst burger that I ever tasted & it reminded me of the horse meat that I eat on the street in Mexico back in 1988. I visited this new restaurant around 9PM on 5/24/2011 and was excited because it is located directly next door to my condo. I have only eaten at Five Guys twice before and was expecting a greasy hamburger and French fries. The food was exactly as I had expected, but is a little pricey when compared to the 2 other burger restaurants located within 200 feet of this location. The reason this place got such a low score was not because the food was bad, but it was because the behavior of the staff. I ordered fries and inquired about the difference between the 2 styles they offered. The fries are spicy and are not just seasoned with seasoning salt as the cashier told me. That is an honest mistake by a new employee, but the behavior of the staff in the dining room is what really earned this place such low marks. Two employees were sitting at the table next to me with computers open and I believe they were completing their initial training. Instead of sitting quietly like people of average intelligence they decided it would be more fun to loudly beat box and rap the entire time I was in the restaurant. The 2 employees could obviously tell I was growing tired of listening to their awful attempts at making music, but didn't care and then decided to loudly beat on the wall to add a little more bass for my enjoyment. I can't be sure, but I believe the only qualifications needed to work at Five Guys are to be cognitively able to listen for the bell which signifies that the fries are done and then successfully put salt on said fries. The managent of the restaurant may eventually be able to train these two employees on the proper product knowledge to work at their restaurant, but they will have trouble teaching them how how to behave like human beings. When I first heard Five Guys was coming to Midtown I immediately thought that Evos, the hamburger restaurant across the street, would be going out of business. I now think differently after visiting because of the obviously lax qualifications needed in order to get a job at Five Guys. read more

I really like the concept of 5 Guys. They aren't trying to be really creative with their burgers or trying to offer various meat options like bison or turkey. They offer fresh (not frozen) well done beef patties with a lot of topping options you pick. There is no additional charge for toppings so you can pick as many or as few as you want. They offer 2 burger options; 'Regular Burger' which has 2 patties and is a pretty big or a 'Little Burger' which has one patty. You do pay a little more if you want cheese and bacon. I'd say the burger is a lot better quality than any fast food place but maybe not as good as some sit down restaurants. The hot dogs are really good here too. The fries freshly cut in the store and are fried in peanut oil. I think they are really good, especially when you get them Cajun style. They also offer free peanuts. I've visited this location several times and the service is always good but you do have to keep in mind that they cook to order so at a minimum it will take 5 minutes for your food to be ready. If they are really busy it might take a few more minutes, but they do offer call ahead and online ordering. I really like this location and think it's a great addition to the offerings in Midtown. I highly recommend checking them out if you have never been. It's a great meal under $10. read more

Super duper quick and fresh! I had a mobile order and they made it in less than 10 mins. I also forgot to add bacon to one of the burgers I ordered. Got to the restaurant and asked if I could add bacon. I was trying my luck because if I'd ordered bacon beforehand, it would of been an extra $1-2 dollars. Of all the burger places that have popped up, Five Guys produces one of the tastier burgers around. Maybe it's the fact they don't use any preservatives or fillers in their beef. Or maybe it's all the toppings that can be piled on top of your burger. The result is a big mouth-watering mess that tastes like it's straight off the backyard grill. Toppings include standard ones like ketchup, mustard, mayo and pickles, but you can also get grilled onions or mushrooms, jalapeno peppers, A-1 sauce, bbq sauce and hot sauce. And there's no upcharge for any topping, unlike some other burger places. Unfortunately, the bun doesn't hold up under all the toppings. Something a little thicker is in order. The Kosher hot dog is the best tasting dog I've had in a restaurant. I really wish they'd leave it whole but they split it down the middle and grill it. It's a big sloppy mess to eat, but lip smacking good, too. Fries are cut thick and fried with the skin on. They're served in a white paper cup, spilling out and blotting the brown paper bag with grease spots that scream "just out of the fryer" hot. A sign in the front tells you what Idaho farm that day's potatoes come from. While not quite local, it ties in nicely with trends to know where your food comes from. The menu is pretty simple, but don't be tricked by the columns that say Hamburger and Little Hamburger. The "Little" is really a normal size burger with the Hamburger being a double. I ate and ate and didn't think I'd ever finish my burger when I realized the marketing gimmick they had pulled. A Little will be plenty for most people. The red and white tile walls and floor and polished metal hood are gleaming, giving the impression of a spotlessly clean restaurant. The walls are adorned with dozens of the best burger and best fries awards they've won in many communities. It's not the absolute best burger I've had, and doesn't measure up to Farm Burger, but it's a step above most of the burger places that have popped up. read more

Another entrant in the Peachtree burger wars. I went to check out this place on a friday noon. I had to wait for a while to get to order my food, and even longer to get my burger. One thing you can't help but notice on the walls are all the banners proclaiming how their burgers are ranked by a wide variety of publications. It almost feels like they need to reassure themselves that they are the best. Well they aren't. if you going to bombard me with that you need to bring something unique. Something like flip, or something like Tornado Burger in Houston. Something that makes me want to pick them over Vortex down the street. Evo's across the street and a dozen other places in my car. It's a good burger grilled well done, with a lot of topping choices. the fries were heaped in the bag, but it also made it greasy. In the end it's a satisfying burger, but not exceptional. The advertising, hype left me wanting more. Maybe some shakes, or something else besides just a burger, fries, and a coke. read more

From the moment you walk in, the staff treats you like an enemy, competing for a smoke break or time surfing the web on their phone.
