The one downside to this establishment is that they have outpriced themselves from the competitors. For the meal above with a drink will run you approximately $13. Very expensive for fastfood. They just opened yesterday, and I've never tried a Five Guys before. I was hoping this would be a great burger place along the likes of a Yeah Burger, In & Out, or Flip, but unfortunately it's not. The concept is a fresh, made to order burger with a wide variety of toppings. However, the burgers tasted the same as what I'd get from a Checkers drive-thru. They had a huge crew of at least 13 people working behind the counter, which seemed grossly inefficient considering it took them over 5 minutes to get my order done (which compared to something like an In & Out burger, is about an average cook-to-order time, but I'd hope for a burger that had more flavor). On the positive side, the portion sizes are huge and the prices are reasonable, but I can't imagine I'd be going back here anytime soon, which is pretty bad considering I live in the same building. If you want a great burger, look elsewhere -- otherwise run over to Checker's on 10th Street and save some cash and get the same "taste". read more

Friendly and quick service and the free helping of peanuts is a nice little perk! My only complaint is that they do not have kids' menu and I would want the place to be slightly more upscale. Ordered a hamburger with bacon and fries. Dude at the cash register said 15 minute wait. 45 minutes later my order still hasn't came out and they then tell me they are now out of bacon and fries. They did refund me on fries and bacon but homie at the register was giving me a bunch of attitude for wanting my $6 worth of food I wasn't going to receive. I have always loved Five Guys. I'll admit I'm a bit biased but they have been very consistent in Florida and Georgia (just not Pennsylvania). I always get their regular cheese burger, which is 2 patties, and I would never be ordering 2 patties anywhere else. Where do they get that delicious beef? I have no idea, but it's better than even upscale restaurants. They're a little over-priced but it's so totally worth it. You'll end up paying about $10-12 a person. Love these guys...I have ordered online and stopped in to order take-out and they are always very friendly and prompt. Honestly, among the many places in Midtown I can eat at (live in the heart of it) these guys are always friendly and not fake, and consistent. I really appreciate the staff here - even when it's slow, they are always in there working, doing something. Man, this place is good! I had the regular bacon cheeseburger with barbeque sauce and grilled mushrooms, with fries. The burger was amazing. Everything complimented itself. I tasted the sauce, felt the mushrooms and at the same time experienced the crispy bacon. And boy, were those frys good. My only complaint is that it's a tad pricy ($12), but that didn't make a difference in the experience. read more
