They waited until I was there and gave me a bunch of fresh Cajun fries, which I stuffed in my mouth on the drive home. Ambiance is like any other 5 guys locations but they have this cute patio off to the side. The only Five Guys in Augusta and I've never had any issues dining or getting takeout from here. The staff have always been friendly & professional, while the cooks at the back seem to be efficient in churning out patties. I always get the hamburger with grilled jalapeños inside (highly recommend it). It tastes about the same as any other five guys I've ordered from and they are notorious for their generosity of fries portion. The fries are fried in peanut oil, so be mindful if you have nut allergies. The burgers here are fresh and less greasy compared to other burger places, which is another reason why I prefer Five guys for my burgers. Only con is they are pretty expensive as you're looking at $11-12 per burger. They do have other stuff on the menu like hot dogs and milkshakes. Their strawberry milkshake is really good! Not overly sweet and chunky. Plenty of tables for dining in and it's always fairly quiet. Definitely recommend trying out the burgers here if you've never had Five guys. read more

Service was quick and efficient. If you're needing to get in and out quickly they can absolutely accomplish that. They had a full staff in the kitchen which allowed for them to be so efficient with the food orders. The employees all seemed to be in great moods and weren't displaying stress and burn out which is common in many work places since Covid. Our cheeseburger wasn't thrown together and a huge sloppy mess when we got it. The hubster loves the peanuts to snack on while waiting and the fact that they have bottles of vinegar to accompany the French fries. It was nice and refreshing to be in a quick service meal setting and the employees weren't complaining but all working together as a team. It is crazy though, my husband and I are cutting back on calories so we're opting to split meals instead of ordering two meals and the cost was just crazy, $21.23 for 1 little bacon cheeseburger, a small fry and a regular drink. We came on a Saturday night around 7 PM-ish. It was not to busy inside. We were assisted almost immediately. The cashier wasn't too friendly, just an order taker and that was as good as it got. When I sat at a table in view of everything being made, I realized we had picked a bad time to come. It was very hectic. The employees were slightly frantic and seemed to be rushing, throwing everything together messily. I think they had a lot of call-ins or maybe DoorDash order. I can't be 100% sure. After a while, I finally had my number called. They usually do a decent scoop in addition to whatever size fries you order. I noticed this was not the case. No biggie. I had made plans to go to Mirin in the same shopping center for wings in addition to my burger and fries. I'm not sure what made me check my burger before walking out. But I am glad I did. My burger patties paled in comparison in size and quality to any burger I've ever had here. (We come at least twice a month. Typically more.) It was obvious the manager did not care about the quality of the food he was putting out tonight. He just wanted to get orders out. I was going to bite my tongue and just take the loss but my spouse refused. She took the burger back to the front register and the manager had soooo much bad body language. He stated that he "couldn't take it back but he could make another one." I was fine with that but the service had definitely left a bad taste in my mouth and she asked for a refund. I want to say I am never going to return but I do enjoy Five Guys. It is one of the better burgers you can get locally. We came at least 20 times last year and outside of a handful, the food was always satisfactory or high-quality and the service has ALWAYS been exceptional. I will say that if I see ALEX is present when we come, we will turn around. His demeanor is not that of one in management. When we exited, he sardonically bellowed "Have a great night." Overall, just not a great experience. I 100% will not be ordering DoorDash from here again. And when we in the area, maybe we will try Cheeseburger Bobby's again or head to Chicken Fingers. If you see fries already in the cup (just sitting there) when you place your order, politely decline and ask for the FRESH fries that had been dropped. I thought, new location, improved quality. I've not been too big a fan of Five Guys for the past few years. When they first opened in the area I loved it. The burgers were always fresh and juicy. Fries awesome. Customer service on point. The good old days. Today, and my last couple of visits at a different location, the quality of their burgers have just gone down hill. They just looked smashed up and unappealing. One thing that is consistent are the fries. I mean all you have to do is make sure they're hot and done. I still think they have some of the best fries in the city. Customer service is about average. Don't expect smiling faces and pleasantries. They get the job done. This location was a massive disappointment to us. Usually five guys is somehow capable of not making me feel bad for spending 10 dollars on a fast food style burger. It's usually just that good. But this location is not your usual 5G. They pre make tons of burgers, then stack them up. They separate the cheese slices and stack them all over where the raw fries bin sits and then put them on the burgers as they need them. So when you order a burger you receive a patty that has sat on other patties (not a hot grill) for a while getting cold, then they take a piece of dirty cheese and toss it on. Throw it on a bun and wrap it up. After that process you get your food and end up with a dry burger that is cold and has cold unmelted cheese. I brought this to the attention of the Store GM and he honestly couldn't have cared any less. Told me to contact Mr Patel if I was unsatisfied with this meal. I will never go back. Also plan on telling everyone I know who lives around us to avoid this place. read more

I went to this Five Guys tonight. While my burger was getting fixed, i could see a cup of old, dark, dried out fries sitting on the area where the fries are poured out and scooped up. The cup was sitting there for a good while. I was hoping the fry guy who was standing there guarding them wasn't planning to give them to me. but that's exactly what he did. he put the stale cup of fries in the bottom of my bag, then put a scoop of some equally old fries on top of everything in the bag. to try to camouflage the disgusting ones. $5 for inedible fries! This place is such a disappointment, they can't seemed to follow simple instructions. This is not the first time I'm having this same problem and I don't eat out often and the rare times I do and I decide to come here they always screw things up to a point that the last time I requested to speak to the owner of the place and I received a call from someone higher than the management.
