I was in Gainesville for the weekend to watch my little cousin's volleyball game and decided to make a food run during intermission. I was looking for something fast and was craving a burger. I used to love Five Guys, but this experience was pretty horrible. I made the mistake of getting the Cajun fries, which were tossed in something like a dry rub. I guess I was expecting the potatoes to be pre- seasoned before they were fried. I was heading back to the game, so I got my burger to go. I got back to the stadium 15 minutes later and the burger was a soggy mess. I would recommend eating your burger immediately as they don't travel well and sticking to the regular fries

This place was OK. I've been to a couple of these franchises and they are all pretty much the same... it why I don't like chains. Too much of cookie cutter experience. But if you want a fast burger cooked to order and a TON of fries this is a good option above McDonalds. I liked the soda/beverage options that has the machine you can mix and match. It was fun to see where the potatoes came from (somewhere in you guessed it Idaho). I had a single, (the double is just too much meat for me). The fixings were good ketchup, mayo, lettuce and tomato. One of the reason I did not give this place a 4 star is the music!!! It was headbanger crap and very annoying. There were plenty of tables inside and out. The outside area faces Archer road so not much of a view.

I'm very conflicted about this place. Let's start with the good. My burger was fantastic and cooked perfectly, the fries were food and they give you a ton. Now the bad. The parking lot is a PIA to get into especially in a truck. I had to make a 4 point turn just to turn in. Also the prices are high, I paid $18 for a burger fries and a drink. Next to the idiots who sit on the porch and just expect someone to come get them when their order is called then grow up. It's not my job to knock on the window and let you know they've been calling your number for 5 minutes. I'm trying to enjoy my lunch. Anyways it's very good every once and a while. Maybe get just a burger and no sides to cut cost. You decide

Small Fry for $4.39 - SMH

Until yesterday I rated 5 Guys with 5 stars with good order accuracy as long as I remembered to tell them no mushrooms. Their prices tend to be high but the burgers were always really thick and tasted of good quality. Angus Beef I believe they advertise. Last night we went to 5 Guys and my burger was wrong which they gladly fixed but the patty was not the same - smaller and less tasty. The frosting on the cake was the "1 Little Fry" we ordered for $4.39. Usually there are a pile fries in the bags. I have attached a picture of the fries I got for that $4.39 - my last trip to 5 Guys. Every fry that we received in our bag is in this cup REALLY 5 Guys - what a rip off!!! Never ever again!!!!

Single patty cheese burger. Not the greatest.

Average tasting burger, great fries but not $13 for a single patty, regular fries and drink. I forgot how large the fries are. I wish I would have read the other reviews before ordering mine. A regular fry is enough for 3 people. But all this for $13?! I could have went to a nice sit down restaurant and had a better burger for that money.

This is unlike any five guys I've ever had. If it were something similar to a McDonald's, I wouldn't care to say anything. However, this is five guys. They are a higher standard. My visit began with no greeting, and the cashier just staring blankly at me while I ordered. I also noticed the price of the fries increased, to which I said, "Dang!" The cashier responded with a sarcastic chuckle followed by, "What, you think this McDonald's?" I'm not very picky, so I looked past it. On the drive home, I picked at my fries, which were air filled sacs of potato skin rather than the potato-filled french fries that I'm used to from five guys. They were also way over-salted. I again tried to overlook this, hoping the Burger would come in clutch. I was let down. The bacon was hard, the Pattie's were dry and overdone, and it was just a crunchy, bland, unenjoyable experience. This is the second negative review I've ever left a company. As I said, I would never expect this from a Five Guys. Given the fact that a bacon burger, little fry, and a medium drink is $20, you usually get what you pay for at Five Guys. I didn't feel that my visit including the food was worth anywhere near that price. That's not to say that five guys as a whole is at all an issue. This location, however, is not up to standard with the rest. Hopefully it's noticed and something changes. Luckily, the other Five Guys in town is phenomenal.

Entering, the place is nice... simple counter service location with seating both inside and out, though the outside seating is pretty close to Archer Road, so not that great. Too much noise from the road to really be enjoyable, sadly. I went for a slider with fries... just wanted to get a taste and not eat too much. The heat level was fair, and for the most part the sandwich was tasty. The fries were also good crinkle cuts. The only complaint I have was that the sandwich could have used some more coleslaw. This is a small national chain, so I do expect quality and customer service to be on par with the rest of the chains, and that is what I got. The product is fair, but nothing really excellent about it. I know of locally owned places that I would rather go to, but I suppose that if I were running around on Archer road and had a hankering for a hot chicken sandwich like this I would be inclined to return.

We also ordered a couple of fountain drinks. The gyro meat was well seasoned and tender. The Greek salad was quite good. The chicken souvlaki, however, seemed to lack flavor and a bit dry. Portions were quite generous and the value was there. We actually packed our leftovers for some quesadillas later. If we do go back, I would order the gyro instead of the chicken souvlaki.

Just about everything was cold and the chicken sandwich was incorrect, just like it was this time. Why am I paying for cheese and/or bacon on a sandwich but never getting it? Last time, cheese but no bacon...this time, no cheese or extra mayo. (Which they should actually put honey mustard as an option but they don't--if so many people like to dip their chicken strips in it, why not option it as an add-on to your sandwich??) Worst of all, no one has bothered to clean all the greasy fingerprints off the doors as you come in...hard to find a clean table as well. What does the nighttime crew DO before they leave? Just leave everything disgusting for the opening crew? That doesn't make good sense at all! Management needs to make either one or the other do some cleaning BEFORE opening for business the next day! Seriously!! How hard is it to wipe down some table tops and benches? 10 minutes of work goes a looooong way towards good impressions. Also, instead of mopping and sweeping while customers are trying to sit and eat...let's think about doing that BEFORE or AFTER they're in the building. Who wants air from the floor blowing God knows what into their faces or food?? Thank you to whoever the man was who directed both fans into my face and food. It'll be another long while before I come back again. While yes, the food TASTES good, my fries were quickly cold from the blowing fan on me and who knows what was being directed onto them from the floor. Again, no cheese on my sandwich, although AGAIN, I paid for something I did not get. Are the employees just not awake this time of day when they're just starting their shift? Sorry to put bad out there, but I'm a bit upset that one of the treats I grant myself after being pulled and prodded at the doctor's office is a coffee from somewhere that's pricey but the only place that offers coconut milk AND PDQ!
