Very first visit was right before a Red Bulls match and every single food establishment in the area was slammed. We opted for 5 Guys and it was absolutely crushed but the platoon of workers behind the counter somehow kept the ship from sinking and all things considered: it was a 5-star visit. About a year later - now right before a Gotham FC match and this time 5 Guys was a ghost town (they seemed more busy with take-out/delivery orders). The guy working the main register and taking orders looked seconds from drifting off for a nap (I'm guessing that melatonin gummy kicked in?!) and sure enough... items were missing and the food wasn't up to snuff for what you expect from a 5 Guys. Unfortunately this time: it was a 2-star visit. I wish Five Guys was in me all the time. The food is delicious and scrumptious. I got a BOGO bacon cheese burger and honestly before it came I was genuinely drooling from my mouth. I thought I was going to die of dehydration because of my desire for this burger to delicately grace my tongue with flavors unbeknownst to humanity. I cannot express how good five guys is and honestly some people may say I'm over the top but I'll never be over top. I'm fully straight but I will forever love Five Guys. I wish I could meet each Five Guys. I have a theory that before the creation of fast food, God anointed five men each with a culinary gift that when together they formed the greatest imagine-able burger. Ordering a burger at a fast food joint should take no more than 5 minutes. This dump apparently likes to make things complicated as i stood in line for 15 or so minutes while a pair of 15 year old skells thought today would be a good day to play games with the cashier, manager and guy behind the grill. I come here on occasion for lunch and every single time, the staff is polite, welcoming, patient and always smiling! Which to me is always a plus. Even when the pace picks up and the establishment starts to fill with patrons they keep up the same genuine demeanor. The place is also very well kept, brightly lit as well as clean. It probably should be a 10 on the basis of it's like the only place in Harrison right by Red Bull Arena. Seriously, we had an overall very good experience. Our orders were ready pretty quickly especially considering that the place was very crowded. My order was correct and since I don't eat the buns, it was served in a very attractive and handy tin box. I do think though that Five Guys in general are overpriced. It was $20 for 2 burgers and 2 sodas. Too much for a self-service place, I think their burgers are good, but I don't think they're great. How did I not realize this was right over the Jackson street bridge in Harrison? My bad. I have heard pretty good things about five guys so went in with high expectations. Wasn't disappointed. I had the "little" (meaning 1 patty) bacon cheese. The burger was nicely cooked, bacon crispy and awesome (I mean it's hard to mess up bacon), and perfectly melted cheese. You get to pick your toppings. I went simple- mayo and BBQ sauce, and the result was a delicious burger. The bun was also really good, soft, almost sweet, and tasted pretty fresh. The service was great. So much energy and enthusiasm, they really put in their all and are super friendly and nice. Soda machine seemed cool (touch screen I think) though I didn't use it. One small complain is the price. Definitely not cheap and the sizes aren't that big. Fries top $3, and my pretty small burger was $6 or something. So it isn't the best bang for your buck but it is pretty good and I will be back when I want a burger. read more

Generally al five guys are delicious and fresh and this place was no exception. What surprise me is how friendly the service is here. I've been here a couple of times now and every time the cashier is always so warm and friendly and even handed the food to me with a smile. I think his name was Allante F. Usually when you go to a fast food place, the cashiers are rude because they are miserable. It really shows you that they enjoy their job here. By now everyone has pretty much heard all of the hoopla surrounding Five Guys and it's all pretty much justified. This location in particular is very clean , it has the standard Five Guys decor, the staff is courteous, you definitely get that burger joint vibe and most importantly the burgers are delicious. For those of us who really have the urge to have a good burger that is not one of those frozen patties places seem to be both abundant and limited at the same time. What five guys has done is made a real delicious burger available almost anywhere around urban centers. Let's get straight to the burger. Starting with the fact that this is real ground beef with uneven edges and searing on the patty... A REAL BURGER. Cheese melted to perfection with the toppings of your choice paired with a golden brown bun that's soft yet form enough not to get soggy in a few seconds. The beef not to tightly packed but loose enough tiki wear the burger seems to have a sort of fluff to it. Just describing it makes me want another. Who wouldn't want something so soft, so perfect, so juicy and just down right sinfully pleasurable to have the company of their tongue. Pair it with fries that are greased not for your health but for your taste buds. Peanuts that are not for the ballgame but just something for you to much on while you await this edible art. It's as though I need a Shakespearean dictionary at my side to truly define how good this burger is. I love Five Guys. I love the concept of Five Guys. I love the burgers at Five Guys and I love the Hot Dogs at Five Guys. I love the free peanuts at Five Guys What I HATE about this particular Five Guys is that no matter how nicely, or emphatically, I ask for my fries to be well-done I'm given a nod and I get a sack full of limp, undercooked potatoes. Went today with a couple of guys from work to get takeout and we are greeted very nicely by the two employees at the registers (I think we were the lunch rush-this place is never very busy when we stop in)...I get my parking ticket validated (a nice touch by the way Five Guys) and ordered a single cheeseburger with grilled onions, lettuce, pickles, jalepenos and ketchup; a cheese dog; and well-done fries. Now they were very nice to us, and I KNOW I should've checked before I left, but I get back to the office and my burger has no jalepenos, my cheese dog has no cheese, and my fries are not well done. If the food didn't taste so damn good anyway I'd give them 2 stars. how do you NOT put cheese on a cheese dog?!? In a nutshell, I still love Five Guys...but as friendly as the service was it still left a lot to be desired. On my most recent trip there I got a bacon cheese burger, fries and a peanut butter milk shake with Oreos in it (please don't judge my fatty tendencies!). The burger was alright, nothing to write home about. The fries were good too, but again, I've had better fries in my life. The milkshake? That thing took me to another planet! I actually was vlogging when I was here and my exact words when I tried the milkshake were "omg that's it, I'm dead, I've died and gone to heaven!!". I normally don't like writing negative reviews, especially for a place I usually enjoy but I feel that my recent experiences warrant one. First I'll start off by saying that I've been coming to this Five Guys since the day they opened a few years back. The food is always delicious and if I were reviewing them based solely on the food I'd easily give them 5 stars. However, this review will be focusing on their service, specifically when ordering through Uber Eats. When they first opened, their employees were welcoming, energetic, hard working and focused. No wrong orders. Not once. Until recently. Now, I understand that people make mistakes and orders might get messed up once in a while. No biggie. We're human, it happens. But when it happens 3 times in a row, for the simplest of orders (Bacon Hamburger, Large Fries) and they do absolutely nothing to make it right, that's a bit different. Apparently Five Guys does not provide any training to their employees on what to do if an order placed through Uber Eats gets messed up because each time this happened, no one knew what to do. All I was told was "call Uber" or "bring the order back". Obviously, if going there in person was an option I wouldn't have used Uber Eats to begin with. Each employee I spoke to was clueless and rude, including the manager and one employee even hung up on me. They refused to refund me and they refused to correct the orders each time. It was left completely up to me to make it right, meaning I would either have to go there in person (again, not an option at the time) or contact Uber and rectify it through them while still being left without food. Five Guys needs to have their employees properly trained for orders placed through Uber Eats and they need to have a procedure in place for when orders are not prepared correctly. A little refresher course on the basics of customer service wouldn't hurt either. Maybe it's my fault for giving them 3 chances but, hey, when you're craving Five Guys and your options are limited you say "eff it, I'll give them another shot". Never again. So, if you're ordering through Uber Eats, good luck because if you receive the wrong order, you're gonna be pretty hangry. read more
