a hamburger with cheese and lettuce

I was kind of let down by the burger I got at this location. I normally love five guys burgers but this one was a bit dry and overcooked. The bread also didn't seem that fresh. Fries were good. Strawberry shake was ok.

Walked into Harrison nj store at 9.50 pm. Told they were only serving fries, no burgers. Very lazy!!! Poor service!!! Avoid it!!!

It's Five Guys and you get what you expect. We went in for lunch and ate inside since it was pretty much empty in the hall. Employees were actually very kind and nice! I also love Five Guys hamburger so it was all good. Fries were bit salty but I noticed that about all Five Guys French fries. I wish they put just little less salt.

:) they legit poured extra fries into my bag on top of already purchasing two. Most of them are gone now ha

I come here on occasion for lunch and every single time, the staff is polite, welcoming, patient and always smiling! Which to me is always a plus. Even when the pace picks up and the establishment starts to fill with patrons they keep up the same genuine demeanor. The place is also very well kept, brightly lit as well as clean. The orders were put together quickly and efficiently which is really good for a walk-in large lunch order. I will continue to come to this place because of their staff. Keep up the great work! PS I wish there was an option to order on-line and pay in store, not just use a credit card. My company only uses cash for the expense report purposes.

    My low carb meal.

It probably should be a 10 on the basis of it's like the only place in Harrison right by Red Bull Arena. Seriously, we had an overall very good experience. Our orders were ready pretty quickly especially considering that the place was very crowded. My order was correct and since I don't eat the buns, it was served in a very attractive and handy tin box. I do think though that Five Guys in general are overpriced. It was $20 for 2 burgers and 2 sodas. Too much for a self-service place, I think their burgers are good, but I don't think they're great. In this particular Five Guys it's all about Location, Location, Location.

    Seems U.

How did I not realize this was right over the Jackson street bridge in Harrison? My bad. I have heard pretty good things about five guys so went in with high expectations. Wasn't disappointed. I had the "little" (meaning 1 patty) bacon cheese. The burger was nicely cooked, bacon crispy and awesome (I mean it's hard to mess up bacon), and perfectly melted cheese. You get to pick your toppings. I went simple- mayo and BBQ sauce, and the result was a delicious burger. The bun was also really good, soft, almost sweet, and tasted pretty fresh. The service was great. So much energy and enthusiasm, they really put in their all and are super friendly and nice. Soda machine seemed cool (touch screen I think) though I didn't use it. One small complain is the price. Definitely not cheap and the sizes aren't that big. Fries top $3, and my pretty small burger was $6 or something. So it isn't the best bang for your buck but it is pretty good and I will be back when I want a burger.

I gave away the bananas. The guac was very flavorful - a tad too sour but still very good. The side of broccoli was done perfectly with a bit of flavor and some crunch. The spinach however was maybe the best I've had. Not sure how they made it so good but wasn't simply with garlic. I had a piece of the branzino and thought it was also tasty with a nice fried crunch. The iced tea was perfectly caffeinated but maybe a tad small. It is supposedly unlimited but I didn't take advantage of that. The restrooms were also clean. I just wish they had some lounge chairs in there. Service was fast and diner style. Get what you need and get out of there. No one was rude, but no one was overly friendly. They all did their job and a 20% tip was automatically included. No concerns but thought it would be worth highlighting.

We came for the Oxtail burger but on this day they were only making beef burgers, lamb burgers, and catfish sandwiches. Shortly after, another couple came in and were told about 20 minutes. We were the only two parties waiting. When a table opened, the waitress began seating us, and the chef stopped her and asked the other (AA) couple if they were there first. He then told the gentleman, "I see you with family, and I'm not trying to start any problems." This was said while we were literally being seated, and nothing was said to us. It put us in an awkward and embarrassing position, as we would never intentionally skip ahead of anyone. As a Hispanic couple, the interaction also left us wondering if we were being treated differently, even if that wasn't the intention. Then the drink order added to the frustration. I ordered a hibiscus lemonade and my boyfriend ordered a regular lemonade. The waitress repeated it back incorrectly as strawberry, and I corrected her. About 10 minutes later she brought a strawberry lemonade anyway. When I said that wasn't what I ordered, the chef took the drink and handed it to the other couple who had just ordered a strawberry lemonade , saying it was freshly made and "they didn't want it." That was uncomfortable because I never ordered strawberry to begin with. Overall, the interaction felt dismissive and awkward. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled -- especially the comments made -- left us feeling unwelcome. I hope this feedback helps improve communication and customer experience moving forward.

I of course joke about the famed boxers relationship but I can confirm this Newark institution packs a championship punch where it counts. For decades, Krug's Tavern has been proving that a neighborhood bar with a small well-seasoned grill is sometimes all you need. Without any unnecessary fanfare, they've been serving truly exceptional burgers to Newark locals and hungry visitors from across North Jersey, and there's no sign of slowing down. I stopped in one afternoon on the recommendation of a friend who works for the utility company and had spent more than a few lunch hours beneath Krug's dimly lit ceilings. Within a few bites, it was easy to understand why the place has earned such a devoted following. The Shrimp Scampi may sound like an unusual order off the bar menu, but don't overlook it. It's outstanding and deserves a place on the table no matter what else you're eating. Better yet, ask for the house "secret sauce"--a glorious combination of the scampi butter and Buffalo sauce that somehow works far better than it has any right to. When it comes to burgers, the quintessential Jersey Taylor Ham burger is a must, delivering that perfect salty, smoky bite only New Jersey can truly appreciate. The bacon cheeseburger is equally memorable, piled high with crispy bacon and juicy enough to make napkins less of a suggestion and more of a necessity. Pair any of it with an ice-cold draft beer, soak in the neighborhood atmosphere, and you'll quickly understand why Krug's Tavern has become a North Jersey institution. It's proof that great burgers don't need gimmicks--just a hot grill, cold beer, and decades of doing things the right way. It's bound to be a good time, an IRONbound good time (I'll see myself out)
