Great spot, close to the train station if you want to grab a quick drink due to possible delays or if you arrived early. As always, one of the cons is there isn't any parking but seems like a local sports bar where people may come to pregame before a Devils game or even some soccer matches at Redbull Stadium. Friendly staff too, it is pretty cozy though but still a good time!

I guess Manny is no longer the owner. 22 people inside the establishment for lunch and the bartender is the waitress. You really need at least 2 workers. The fries seem like they were cooked in month old oil. We had lunch there for an hour and the bartender(waitress) had 3 shots. God Bless

Stuck at Newark Penn Station for 2 hours. Very little choices to eat, no where to sit and no heat! Walked across the street to Bellos for lunch. Need, clean friendly, lots to choose from and reasonably priced. Great experience! 1/6/25

Good late night spot! Stayed busy all night. Food was good and service was really nice. The French onion soup was very good!

We stopped by here for a quickie before a concert at The Prudential Center and it was better then I had anticipated. This place reminded me of a neighborhood type place like Cheers for those of you that remember the show. The waitress was excellent and the food was great. I love the wings and the salad I had. Can't wait to try this place again when in the area.

This was a small bar with an upstairs for private events it seemed like. There were a few tables next to the bar with soccer memorabilia throughout the entire 1stfloor. I sat at the bar where the service was extremely friendly and accommodating. The menu had lots of interesting options ranging from traditional pub food to Portuguese dishes. I opted to share the Picadinho ($20) which was a special being offered. It was made up of clams, shrimp, pork cubes, potatoes, jalapenos, peppers, and onions in a white wine cilantro sauce. This was great value as there was plenty of food for the both of us. The sauce was tasty, but there was a ton of Worcestershire sauce present, which was different and odd. Nevertheless, the pork was very tender and had plenty of flavor. All of the toppings combined with the sauce made for a very satisfying dish. For dessert, the spumoni tartufo ($10) was ordered. It was more like a traditional vanilla and chocolate tartufo rather than spumoni. My thought was the presence of the cherry made it "spumoni." Regardless of that, it was a refreshing end to a great meal. Will I go back? Yes.

A candlelit intimate environment, attentive service and quality food made for a positive experience. I had Shepherd's Pie which had large pieces of lamb, vegetables and covered in mashed potatoes. While the kitchen still completely delivers, the front-of-house service was a bit off during this visit. The food was just as good as we remembered. The kitchen hasn't lost a step, and the meal itself was excellent. I thought the kitchen made a great improvement in the sesame seed-topped hard roll used for the Mutha Clucka sandwich, which held together this time and was much easier to eat without being so messy. Unfortunately.. We sat at the bar and it was immediately clear the sole bartender was swamped trying to handle the lunch crowd alone. She did an admirable job handling the parties and made time for small talk with some of the regulars but our service suffered a bit -- my order for an iced tea completely slipped through the cracks and got lost track of until the end of our meal. Even worse,.. it took longer than I would expect to get the manager behind the bar to remove it from the tab. We still love this place and the food is undeniably great, but they definitely needed an extra set of hands behind the bar this weekend. Dropping it just a bit to a 4-star for now, but we'll absolutely be back.

I highly recommend having any kind of party there! I can't say enough about Erin who was the event manager. She worked with me for months making sure that everything is going to be perfect. I'm sure I was driving her crazy at several points but her patience was exceptional and her management & organization skills are incredible! She also is a tech wiz (at least compared to me) and helped me set up a playlist for the party on a Bluetooth system and a video loop of photos of my husband to play on the TVs. She was there the whole night along with a bartender and runner and everything was as smooth as can be. I was totally relaxed knowing that she was taking care of all the details! My old phone was taking blurry pics from far away so I wasn't able to capture it, but think very cozy, fireplace with candles glowing from within, and little alcoves in the wall for candle clusters. It was perfectly elevated while still being casual and approachable. When we came there was a Mac and cheese special with pulled bbq pork on top. I knew we had to get that because it is right up my husbands alley. It did not disappoint, my husband was tempted to order some to take home! The pasta was super creamy and cheesy, mixed with the roasted pulled smoky bbq pork on top, it was the ultimate comfort food for the cold rainy day we were having. For my meal I got the Grilled Cheese which is more of an elevated "grown up" grilled cheese. It had cheese, thin apple slices, fig jam and bacon. The flavors were great, I only wish there was a little more cheese or a little less jam to balance the sweet and savory a little more, because for me it was a touch too sweet. The sourdough it was made with was delicious and fresh, I also appreciate that they don't seem to soak their grilled cheese in oil like a lot of places do (butter or nothing, please!!) My husband ordered the burger which he really enjoyed but nothing was going to top the pulled pork Mac and cheese for him. They should consider adding it to the regular menu! He originally wanted the duck sandwich but it was unavailable on this day. All in all it was a cozy afternoon together. Our waitress was very friendly and made sure to check on us without ever being too overbearing.

Our drinks (pear-licious martini and appletini) were good but filled so full that there was spillage on the bottom of the glass when they were served. I had the goat cheese poppers which were delicious, as was the apple salad that accompanied them. I also had a side - apples Brussels sprouts, butternut squash & celery root - a fabulous combination that I thoroughly enjoyed. The others in my party had a burger (too well done but ok) and rare seared tuna (yummy) with the same veggie side. For dessert, we tried 3: warm chocolate chip cookies (very good), baklava (ok), and espresso creme brûlée (good). We had espresso and coffee as well - which were both accompanied by biscotti which went home for a morning snack. Our reservation was 7p on a Thursday near Christmas. The place was packed with lots of larger parties and what appeared to be a holiday party. So it was LOUD and hard to hear each other speak. As the crowd thinned out, it got much better.
