I told myself I wasn't going to leave these guys a bad review because maybe they were having a bad night but holy shit did these guys fuck up my Mother and I's order. First the guy taking our order kept messing things up to the point that he got our order wrong and charged us for an extra burger we did not order. They also forgot my milkshake so I had to go back in and ask them to make it for me. I was the first to order with the guy who took our order and I specifically told him I wanted a little bacon burger because I cannot eat cheese. We drive 25 minutes back to Gloucester just to realize they STILL put cheese on MY burger. I think this crew needs to be retrained or completely fired and hire a whole new set of employees. I'm betons disappointed and now I can't even eat my dinner. I want a refund or I'm gonna make a dispute with my bank because y'all really messed up our order. What is this team's defect? We had an odd experience once before but now it appears to be consistent when doing a pickup order. Let's start with - don't be rude to my wife. She's the one who came in to pick up the order which was sitting there waiting. The old biddie who appears to manage the place basically refused to hand over the food order - not once but twice. Another customer actually spoke up and said "can you give her her order please" Why ignore people when you are in a service business? Why go out of your way to make a food experience unpleasant? Upon getting home - we discovered they once again massively skimped on the fries which cost $$ but apparently only come in a paper cup - no overflow into the bag ... whatever... The loveliest thing was providing 2 of our orders while omitting my wife's order... yep they charged us for a double burger but couldn't be bothered to put it in the very empty, sad looking bag... And if we wanted to nitpick - I asked for raw onion on mine...there were 9 pieces of raw onion - who skimps on onions? Just let me say, I never give review on fast food, but I must say, the Peabody Five Guys Restaurant was great! Wonderful customer service as well a very clean establishment. Oh! And the burgers and shakes were the BOMB! My husband and I have gone to a few different locations and we were not impressed in the least. We were out and hungry so I suggested Five Guys once more. First time at Five Guys. It was okay. Overpriced. For 2 people we got a small cheeseburger, a regular cheeseburger, 2 small French fries (we only ordered one), and 2 drinks cost 27.00 !!! Yes I won't be going back. The burgers were well done. I like my beef RARE. I asked for medium or rare and was told they only make it well done. What a huge let down. I took a picture of the sign on the wall. They do not make it grilled to order! Take that sign down. You lie. Ok let's start with the food. French fries,burgers and milkshakes are always great. (If I could mix and match I'd take a shack burger with five guys fries) convenient location near the north shore mall. My only gripe is I've ordered numerous times online,they give you a time it will be ready and I always give them an extra ten minutes just because.they even send you a text to tell them your here when I arrive in the parking lot, I'm thinking nobody's reading the response because it's always a good 5to10 minutes more before you actually receive your order. I've been to a lot of Five Guys in different parts of the country and this one broke my heart. The first time I went my fries were burnt, but I figured it must have been an off day on the fryer so I gave it another shot. Fries were overcooked again and my burger bun was as soggy as a wet otter. The patty was as cold as a toddler's lunch they leave unfinished at the table. The cheese wasn't melted so at that point I knew it was wrapped cold and it sealed my fate to pursue a different location. Had I stayed to dine-in perhaps they would have fixed it and given me a new burger, but I drove it two miles down the road to my lonely hotel room, salvaged what I could and threw the rest in the trash. read more

I'm a lover, probably because I'm simple and don't deviate my order: bacon cheeseburger, in a lettuce wrap (preference, not allergy) with tomatoes, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms, grilled green peppers, and grilled jalapeno peppers. No fries. No shake. I get a small cup for water, and crack peanut shells. The lettuce wrap is usually greasy and I eat it with a fork and knife. This location gave it to me in a bowl. That's neat. No grease. They forgot the bacon but I'm still giving five stars for the bowl. read more

What can I say, I love 5 Guys. The model is simple, the burgers are delicious, the shakes are thick, and service is quick. The bathroom was a bit of a disaster on the last visit. I waited to go to the one in the theater at Liberty Tree instead. The establishment is otherwise clean, so I think it was just a person being gross and a walking hurricane of destruction and overall filth. The tables are clean, the floors are clean as well. Went here for my first time at a 5G and it was pretty solid. The burgers remind me of a franchise in CT called Duchess that has the best burgers ever. Fries are good and plentiful and the atmosphere is burger joint casual and very clean. The burger-making operation is right out in the open, which inspires confidence. Staff at any 5G's I've since been to are always polite and attentive and the burgers and portions are consistent in size and taste; this isn't easy to pull off in a fast food joint when the economy is good. I really should be giving 2 stars... I got a burger in a lettuce wrap and a small fry. The burger was good but when I looked in my bag I literally had 10 fries. No exaggeration...10. That's .25 per fry. I'm not cheap when it comes to paying for food but that is a bit much. I have had small fries from other locations and my cup would be overflowing. I'll admit we stopped at Five Guys just because of a video we saw on Youtube, but that helped us find one of the (if not the) best fast food burger we ever tried. It's definitely pricey to be fast food (comparable to some basic restaurants), but the quality and the flavor are all there. Two double cheeseburgers with bacon, 1 medium fries and 2 sodas for close to 25$. Love the fact that fries are coming from different farms and I think it's something that actually reflects in taste compared to the typical Mc or BK fries. Never go here if you want terrible customer service. I'm personally a vegetarian and don't like mushrooms. I go in to order a veggie sandwich, NO MUSHROOMS and a bacon cheeseburger with MUSHROOMS for my boyfriend. Later I return home with my food to find that my ENTIRE SANDWICH IS MUSHROOMS. Thank god i don't have an allergy just pure hatred for mushrooms. During this time, I was on medication for an eating disorder and I was so happy to eat a sandwich for once. Nope. Ruined my appetite and mood while I scooped my entire sandwich to be mushrooms. Being pissed off, I sent my friend to drop off the remaining mushrooms back to five guys to ask for a refund. Discovered Five Guys late in the game and now I can't stop (about once a week...tisk tisk). If you are a spicy food lover and like to eat massive burgers this is what you should get.... Double patty bacon cheeseburger w/ lettuce, tomato, grilled onions, jalapeno peppers, and extra hot sauce. And don't forget an order of the Cajun fries (the little size is plenty for one person or even two)! Had to stop in to try the fries that people rave about. A friend and I were finishing errands on a Friday afternoon and needed a hearty snack so decided to see what Five Guys is all about. The gentleman who took our order was very friendly and helpful. We decided to split a double patty hamburger with pickles, sauteed mushrooms and lettuce (all available without an addition charge - a plus) and a regular size order of fries. They offer the regular and cajun so we opted for regular for our first experience. We declined any drinks the the man offered us plastic cups to get water from the fountain ...nice! You seat yourself and wait for your number to be called. Our number was called within 5-10 minutes and all meals are served in a brown paper bag regardless of take-out or dine in. The burger was ok, patty somewhat tasteless but bun was soft and toppings were satisfactory. Fries were hot, crispy but a bit salty for our taste. Fried in peanut oil, they did not taste greasy but you could see the residue on the bag. Overall, not bad if you're looking for a fast food burger place. Order total around $9.50. read more

I visited 5 Guys for the first time ever - not sure what I was waiting for. When we arrived on Sunday afternoon there was a long line that moved quickly. The wait seemed even shorter given they provide all the peanuts you can eat. Our burgers and fries were delicious! All the fixings you could imagine and they are provided for no additional fee. Everybody I know has been raving about this place so I went here with my husband for a quick bite to eat. The inside of the restaurant was rather plain, but it was really clean. My husband quickly grabbed a bunch of peanuts that were near the entrance. I ordered a regular hamburger with everything and my husband had the cheeseburger with a large order of fries and soft drink. I must admit the hamburger was really good! It was very juicy and the toppings were generous. Just one caveat: the regular hamburger is a double patty, which is usually too much for me. If I had known that, I probably would have gotten the little hamburger. The fries are hand cut and very tasty too. They didn't salt the fries, and they don't have salt & pepper shakers, so I had to deal with those annoying little packets. Even so, the large order of fries is VERY large (like about two orders of McDonald's large fries). For sodas, they have unlimited refills, and two Freestyle machines, so you can have something as odd as a Cherry Mr. Pibb Zero. There were a few things I didn't like, but they were pretty trivial. 1. The place is very loud, even though it wasn't busy. The kitchen staff were yelling at each other and singing random stuff and I found it annoying. 2. You don't get a plate or basket to eat on. You have to eat out of a paper bag like you're a horse or something or eat over a bunch of napkins. 3. For a fast food place, it's very expensive. Our two burgers, order of fries and soda added up to $20. 4. The restaurant has zero ambiance. Not that I expect chandeliers on the ceiling and a ninety piece orchestra, but I felt like I was eating at a gas station, not a restaurant (which, ironically, what the location used to be before becoming a Five Guys). Other than those things and a case of bad indigestion a few hours later, I really liked the food and will probably go there again. read more

This place is....awesome. For a fast food place. I dropped by for lunch the other day, since I was in the area. And boy, am I glad I did. It's easily the best burger I've had in the two months I've been in MA. The staff was friendly and great. The cashier waited patiently for me as I stared dumbfoundedly at the menu and tried to decide what to get. I ended up ordering a jr bacon burger in a lettuce wrap + grilled onions + grilled mushrooms + BBQ sauce. (love the fact that all toppings are free). The burger itself was so juicy, delicious, and full of flavor, that I didnt really want to talk while i was eating it because i was trying to savor the moment. The fries were pretty good as well- a bit different from your typical fast-food french fries. And they give you a pretty good amount as well. I wish there were a Five Guys closer to my place. But then again, if that were to happen, I would find myself going there multiple times a week and gaining double digits in no time. But yeah, give this place a try if you havent done so already! read more
