My go-to is usually the chicken tenders as the 6 piece is enough for two meals. Last night, we kept it simple with a Yasville Hot sandwich and side order of tots. Both were piping hot and the cripsy tots were packed into the container. This place is the definition of a guilty pleasure. I ordered ahead of time online and within 10 minutes, a quick drive down to Yas and our order was ready. Not much seating other than stools along a counter facing the windows. After hearing about rave reviews from my friends, I just had to check this place out. I ordered ahead since I know that they can get pretty busy especially on a Friday afternoon. People were almost lined up out the door waiting for their food. It was just getting packed by the time I arrived. My friend and I shared the corn dogs, tater tots, and six piece wings with the soy garlic flavor. To be honest, the food really was not anything special. Considering I picked it up right as it was ready, it was as fresh as it could be. The corn dogs had a very simple and thin batter around it. There was a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese over the tots. Chicken wings weren't bad but I've definitely had better from locations in Boston and Allston. I really do not get why the reviews for Yas are either: Great chicken! Amazing! Delicious! or... Bland! Flavorless! Not worth it! The chicken was SO good... no clue whatsoever how anyone could say it was bland. It was crispy, moist, and flavorful. There was plenty of seasoning in the crispy batter. I was lucky to have tried this for the first time with a group of friends and we ordered 5 sandwiches, cut them all up and split them, along with two orders of the mozzarella sticks. We have been stopping in here the last few months for quick, delicious lunches! The chicken sands are very good, wings are crispy and tender. So much flavor! The tater tots are crispy and not greasy, which is almost unheard of for tots! The YAS sauce is the bomb! The shrimp pops were so much fun and crispy (see a theme here!) and def cooked perfectly. Lastly, the lobster, crab, and shrimp wontons were good. Not great, but good. A lil too much cream cheese to seafood ratio! FINALLY had the chance to go to YAS chicken after seeing all the hype, and let me tell you... IT LIVES UP TO IT. I had gotten the Mac Zaddy, Tenders with some Yasssssss Sauce, and parmesan fries. The Mac Zaddy was a damn good sandwich, the chicken was tender and full of flavor, and the mac and cheese on top was delicious. I personally wish there was another scoop of mac and cheese on top since that added a nice change to the flavor. I think the move for this sandwich is to drizzle that delicious Yas sauce on top of the sandwich. The tenders were solid, thiccc, and full of flavor. They had a nice crust to them and were complimented with the yas sauce (which is more or less a spicy Mayonnaise ketchup). The parm fries were decent, a little on the softer side but that may be due to sitting for a few mins. Overall I would definitely consider going here if you're in the area, it has a great selection of menu items, including Chicken sandwiches, Tenders, wings, and an array of sides. NOTE: this review is for the Allston location, which is not yet on Yelp. I'm very loyal to the bb.q chicken chain, but YAS Chicken is pretty close behind it. The main location of YAS Chicken is in Lynn but they just opened a takeout stop in Allston! Their meaty soy garlic wings had the crispiest skin and had so much flavor in them. The chicken tenders were sooo juicy (way better than raising canes, which is my baseline), yet the batter was also crispy and had its own flavor. Their house sauce for the tenders reminded me of the In-n-Out Burger sauce with a small kick to it. They also have some great sides, like the pork gyoza which was fried IN soy garlic sauce and the double fried (the secret to great taste) tater tots. We tried the parmesan tots, but I think I would stick with normal next time. This fried chicken joint is right in between an American and a Korean fried chicken joint, and they do both of them well!! The perfect place if you've got cravings for both. The only downside is that the wings price point is a bit higher than bb.q Chicken, and having only a takeout option is not the most convenient for Allston. Let's all say a collective "Yas!" to YAS Chicken! YAS Chicken is a fast food joint located on 111 Western Ave in Lynn, Ma. It's on a corner lot at the intersection of Western Ave and Chatham Street. There is plenty of street parking. There are but a few window seating available as the restaurant is focused on takeout service. The restaurant is still in its soft opening and with a limited menu. For my takeout order, I tried the 18 pieces wings (half spicy, half savory), 16 pieces drums (half spicy, half savory), 6 pieces tenders (YAS sauce), truffle fries, YAS munchkins, corn salad and coleslaw. I think by my next visit, I should be able to sample everything they offer. In terms of first impression, it's going to be a "Yes" for me. The chicken wings and drums skin were crispy while the meat was juicy. The spicy flavor is a good spicy, as in, you won't regret it. The savory is a sweet soy flavor, resembling a traditional Korean soy garlic flavor. It's identical to one of my beloved chicken place in Chinatown (Crave). Same goes with the truffle fries which were amazing even without the dipping sauce. As for the price of the truffle fries, it is a steal. The chicken tenders batter was too clumpy and so they were super crunchy, maybe even over fries and dried out. My brother said his experience with the chicken tender was better when he tried it the day before. The coleslaw was very peppery, not sure if the chef made a mistake with measurements today. As for the corn slaw, it could use more color and texture. Perhaps my favorite item was the YAS Munchkins, tiny fried dough covered in cinnamon and powdered sugar. I would love to have these for breakfast with a cup of coffee one day. Sadly, there was no leftover for the next day. I recommend calling in advance when placing your order as this helps cut down the waiting time. The wait for food preparation was about 20 minutes, which perfectly matched my driving time to get to the restaurant. My food was ready when I arrived. While waiting to be rung up, I took pictures of the cute murals on the restaurant's walls. When I came home and looked closer, I realized the little chicks were being shot by arrows. Poor chicks! I thought this was humorous of the store owner. Overall, both the customer service that I received over the phone and in the restaurant was prompt and friendly. I look forward to my next visit where I can try their chicken sandwiches and waffles. I heard from my brother that the YAS OG chicken sandwich with the brioche bun is amazing and that the wonton wrapper mozzarella sticks have a good cheese pull. See my pictures! read more

Stopped by YAS Chicken over the weekend as i've been hearing a lot of great things about this place that had just opened up in the area. I loveeee both Korean fried chicken (KFC) and Nashville style fried chicken sandwiches and so this sounded like the perfect spot for me. Unfortunately, the chicken here did not live up to my expectations and i personally enjoy Bonchon and Underdog Hot Chicken (which are both only a couple minutes walk away) a lot more. Things Ordered: Savory (soy garlic) KFC: 3 out of 5: While crispy, juicy, and still piping hot, the chicken had this weird unappetizing/sewage smell to it before eating which i've never encountered anywhere else before. I also wasn't able to taste much of the garlic and the flavor was very one dimensional (light soy sauce and salt). In addition, the chicken meat tasted like was recently defrosted after sitting in the freezer for quite some time (fresher/higher quality chicken would not have this issue). Ya Hot N Ya Cold Fried Chicken Sandwich: 3 out of 5: Sandwich was OK. The "hot" was more like a mild and it wasn't the juiciest or crispiest. Flavor was also lacking in my opinion. My biggest issue with the sandwich was the smell and taste of the brioche bun. The bun had a strong leavening/over-fermented smell to it which really distracted and overpowered the chicken. My favorite all-time fried chicken spots are in Tennessee and LA so i'm always intrigued when a new spot opens up in Boston and so my search to find that special chicken sandwich in the area continues. AVOID AT ALL COST. I will admit. The food smells good out doors and in the lobby. Does not taste as good. Very bland. I want to say that it was also not freshly prepared. Tasted like something pre prepped hours ahead or made the previous day and refried the current day. I also had stomach sickness shortly after consuming and the following day. I went here two nights ago and was pleased with the food. I would not recommend getting the sandwiches as I think the tenders by themselves are much better. I absolutely drowned them in sauce and got it all over me. The service was good for the most part but got upset when I kept asking for more sauce. Don't know what that's about. Wow. Ya gotta go. This place lives up to the hype it's getting on Insta. Delicious quality chicken with a perfect honey glaze and the slightest spice (for my white bread mouth). The Mac and cheese is the icing on the cake to make the Mac Zaddy the go to menu item. Don't sleep on the fries though. Crunchy and delicious. As for the negatives - parking is nonexistent, there's really not much seating inside, and it gets very busy so the wait is long. I had really high expectations after seeing so much built up hype on social media. I was hoping YAS to be explosively delicious hits every best feeling you could think of. I ordered the OG, Mac and cheese, and the munchkins for the fam. Everything was just average. Munchkins were supposed to have cinnamon & sugar with white chocolate, but once I got home, they were just plain. If there was anything that made the OG sandwich, it would be the honey sauce. The Aside from that, I can't say a whole lot. I was truly rooting for them and followed all outlets. It wasn't terrible; just aiight.
