My husband and I finally decided to try Five Guys . Well we very disaponted ..Not appealing inside at all . No where does it claim that you will be served a double burger . The steam from the burger wrapped in foil makes your burger very messy . We were never asked if it was to go or stay . The place seemed to run with no one in charge but a bunch of kids.On the menu it claims "all of our burgers are cooked well done " . Guess what owner...mine was totally pink inside . The fries greasy and soggy limp fries. Terrible . Oh one thing was good...The free peanuts. But for the cost of two burgers and a regular fries...$17 we could buy three bags of peanuts read more

Horrible service today. Usually its OK never amazing but today was very unorganized and slow. I called in to place my order because of the slow service at this location and it made no difference. It actually was worse! People who ordered in the store left with their orders before me. It took over 30 mins to get my call in order once I arrived. Was ready to get a refund and leave. Just OK and not nearly as good as some other locations I've been to. Burgers are pretty good, although takeout is about 75% accurate based on my experience. Also they used to overload the fries so a large would feed two people - now it's just enough for a single. For $4-5 for a large - not worth it. read more

This is really the only fast food I ever order. Five Guys is always delicious and ordering online is super convenient plus they wait to cook your fries until you get there, so you never have cold/mushy fries when you get home. read more

I'm a real 5 Guys fan....love the concept...love the food...but this location has got to get it together. I've been here twice. The first time wasn't so awful (other than the sloppy burgers and general messy/grungy feel to the place) except the fries weren't ready when the burgers were...they were a full 7 minutes behind (yes, I was watching the clock). All they do is burgers and fries...you'd think that having them ready together would be routine. My second visit (today) was worse. We ordered 4 burgers (and fries/drinks). One burger was left off the order completely (not on the receipt...so check yours before you walk away). 2 of the remaining 3 were input incorrectly (the mistakes were as to size and condiments/toppings). The order taker had a cranky attitude from the 1st moment we walked in (I soon found out that our order was her last order to take before her break). The 3 burgers were made by the time we discovered the mistakes and we accepted them 'as-is' but still had to wait @ 8 minutes for the 4th burger. Had I known we'd have to wait that long, I would have had them correct everything. Overall the place is a mess. Dirty, disorganized and chaotic.The staircase (to the upstairs dining area) is slick with grease. I've been to many other 5 Guys and know that this is unusual. My experience at the others have always been superb. At about $10 a head, they should do a lot better. read more

There is NOTHING special about 5 Guys burgers and fries and for the prices of the burgers I would expect grass-fed beef!

I always get the normal (double patty) cheeseburger, and it is absolutely delicious. The fries aren't great, but the soda machine with literally over 100 different flavors and varieties of drink makes up for it. I go here whenever I can, because it is probably my favorite burger on earth. read more

Nothing about this place is good. Their burgers are absolutely vile, swimming in oil and absolute nauseating. Their fries are not much different, too salty and literally taste like a heart attack waiting to happen. Even the peanuts you can munch on don't taste right. And the location is horrific, it looks so stupid and out of place next to the A&P, and it used to clog up the parking lot like you wouldn't believe. For a while, buying groceries, picking up a prescription at Walgreen's or even trying to get something relatively healthy at Cosi was terrible because of the lack of parking this place caused, and you could smell it even inside the other stores. Thankfully this seems to be lessening as people are realizing how nasty this place is and the crowds are thinning out. Five Guys might be delicious at other places but not here!!! Avoid. read more

I have visited many Five Guys locations and have eaten at the one on high ridge road in Stamford many times. Today, 9/30/17, was my worst experience ever at any Five Guys. It started when the girl at the register spoke such poor English that I couldn't understand a word of what she was saying. I had to repeat my order several times. Within 2 minutes of taking my order, I hear her calling my number. I only knew my number because I had to ask for a receipt when she didn't give it to me. I respond to her while she is holding her printout of my order. She then proceeds to ask me what I want on my burger; I've already placed my order to her AND she has a copy of it in her hand. The male employee who was doing EVERYTHING, didn't even know that my order was in until he noticed me standing there; she had never told him to start preparing my order, nor did she attempt to do it herself. I'm now able to overlook the fact that my burger was cooked long enough for it to be considered a murder weapon because he at least made an attempt at his job. She continued to stand behind the counter with a smile on her face, doing absolutely nothing. The other two employees (the man included) called her out on her inactivity, but she kept her stupid defiant grin on her face as if everyone were joking. I was beyond upset at this point, and I was not hiding my disdain for her ineptitude. She then looked at me, saw my angry face, and smiled as if I were in on the fun with her. When the male employee finished my burger, he asked her to get my fries I had ordered. She laughed to herself while trying with all her might to separate 2 paper cups that were stuck together. After at least 45 seconds of me watching her struggle, the male employee noticed my frustration, picked up a new cup (extraordinary solution to her unthinkable struggle) and finished my order. To the idiotic employee who couldn't manage her way out of a wet paper bag: I have never before this moment left a review on yelp. I felt so compelled by your pitiful attempt at life that I took the time to write this. I know you'll never see it, take the time to read it, or understand it. I write this in hopes that others will be wary of your existence and maybe your manager will discover the atrocious error of their ways in hiring someone as blissfully incapable and lazy as you. I am a respectful person and make every attempt never to place myself above others; it does not, however, take more than a blithering idiot to know that working at an establishment such as Five Guys does not take much of anything that can be considered skill. You have failed, gloriously, at an amazingly simple job. Congratulations on being a world class lazy failure. Five Guys, I still love you, but someone made a terrible decision hiring her. read more

Glad to see nothing has improved since my last visit in April 2019. Placed an online order last night. Order was accepted and the food was being prepared. The estimated delivery time as over an hour and that was expected on a Saturday night. We kept receiving updates that said our order was in process, then it was being picked up then it was on the way. After almost an 1 1/2 hours, we received an update that our order could not be filled! Are you kidding me??? So were all of those updates that our food was being prepared LIES??? Frustrated we went to Carl's Jr and left very happy. I have half a mind to open a competing franchise in the same shopping center to drive them out of business! Granted that would not be difficult to do with their extremely poor service and so many excellent alternatives (Carls, In n Out, KFC, Mikes, McDonalds, Taco Bell, Del Taco, Wendys, JBX, and Subway) so close by. read more

Never understood the fuss about 5 guys. I have tried it 3 times and I always feel sick to my stomach and there's enough grease to feel you need a shower after the burger. Fries are god awful. read more

All I can say is I received superb service. Placed my order online but forgot a hotdog for my son, I asked if they could add on...and the put it in the bag in a 2 min. Great burgers for me and my family. Love the place. read more
