Came here for a quick bite to eat. I ordered the Ryder's Favorite for $13.00 (Chicken cutlet, cheddar cheese, bacon and ranch dressing on a hard roll) I was underwhelmed with this sandwich. I thought the chicken was very oily and the Bacon was fatty. The overall sandwich was small but it tasted ok. I also ordered the chocolate chip cookies for 3.00$ they were soft and delicious. I pass by Wedge Inn often and recently stopped by for the first time. They have a variety of options on their menu. It does get crowded during the lunch rush so expect longer wait times. While the sandwiches are good the prices are on the higher end which is why I'm giving only 3 stars. read more

Stopped here for a quick lunch on our way through town while traveling and we were incredibly impressed! Great menu selection, delicious food and quick/friendly service. The atmosphere is quaint and similar to a deli. The staff knew all the regulars coming in to grab their to go orders as well. I ordered chicken cutlet with chili on a toasted hard roll, and asked for the chicken to be crispy, and enough chili to know it exists on the sandwich (my typical sandwich there, and ask each time for a little more chili- paying extra if they need charge, but there should be enough without asking). Very disappointed because the chicken was slightly warmer than room temperature (putting aside possible food contamination due to improper temperature), and not a touch of crispiness. I did see the "Cook" used a microwave for other items, and after one bite, I knew my chicken was reheated in the microwave (some areas of the chicken were a different temperature than others, and the breading texture was chewy). There may have been a teaspoon of chili, and the roll was not toasted (or if it was, the chicken was left on it for too long before they wrapped it and placed it in the bag. My suggestion: If you order the cutlet, ask that it be made fresh (or at least reheated in the fryer), and ask for chili on the side, you'll get an appropriate amount that SHOULD be on a sandwich. read more

Absolutely horrible horrible horrible. treatment especially if you're black. I'm guessing they have new owners, same family but the petite girl with the black hair is extremely rude to begin with and if you're black , even worse. Prepare to be ignored or she'll act like you're bothering her. You ask a question and she's ready to bite your head off. I hate racism with a passion. If you don't like us, just put a sign out front saying no coloreds allowed because that's how we're treated when we go in there. They won't be getting my money anymore. Was invited by the owners Rich and Brittney to sample their tasty menu, and was not disappointed! They recently updated the inside of the building and gave it a fresh modern feel while still sticking to the history of the building. Tried the chili fries, BBQ bacon cheeseburger, chili cheese dog, and Ryder's favorite sandwich. I now live really close to Wedge Inn, so I was happy to discover that my own experiences have exceeded what I see as the average Yelp rating. "Yay, I'm a fan!" pretty much sums it up. I will note that I have not had any of the hot lunch or dinner sandwiches, burgers, etc. So far I have tried a few deli sandwiches and wraps, salads, and breakfast items. Deli options: I've found Wedge Inn to be a fresh and fast place to get an italian wedge, a tuna salad sandwich, a roast beef wrap, or really anything in that vein. It's made-to-order, and I appreciate the different bread and wrap options. Salads: I do wish there were better lettuce options, but I'm rating this place for what it is--a fast, yet fresh deli/burger/sandwich joint. I've had their salad with added tuna and veggies or seafood salad (sometimes available in the summer), and it's been tasty and a nice lunch option. Breakfast: the sandwiches are not healthy, but are tasty. The breakfast plate (eggs, toast, meat, homefries) is OK. I haven't tried the bagels but they looked good and felt soft (there were some wrapped individually in plastic on the counter and I may have gently touched to see how fresh they were. They were fresh!) I'll update my review as I try new items, if anything changes. But, super solid option for a quick fix, especially a deli sandwich. read more

I really wanted to like this place, as its decor/setting is so classic, suggesting a fabulous blue collar dive,tucked behind the Dairy Queen. Unfortunately the food has never been anything beyond barely edible. Utterly joyless unhealthy cuisine, among the worst kind, and the type that gives America a bad name. If your a local, you love it here. But fortunately me I only work in the area so I can make my own decision. So the wedge inn for many of my lunch breaks was always a good choice. But my last visit was by far horrible. I had the cornbeef ruben which I love and always get, but today was awful. I mean there was more sauerkraut then meat, the bread was soggy from the all the oil, and all together was just a bad experience. While I used to love wedge inn, they have been doing a terrible job of providing quality food as of late. Almost every time that I have ordered recently, I have received my order with something wrong. E V E R Y time. This last time was the last straw. I ordered curly fries with cheese and was given curly fries with a slice of American cheese slapped on top. I'm not sure if there has been some sort of change in the kitchen, but whomever is preparing their food as of late needs to be spoken to in regards to the quality of the food that they are serving. During this time when cleanliness, disinfecting and social distancing are required, we're really expecting the few restaurants that are still open to be going beyond expectation with that. I was just in there a short while ago. Customers were not being required to wear masks, the two girls behind the counter were not wearing masks, nor were they wearing gloves. Which leads me to believe they're probably not washing their hands very much, or too concerned about cleanliness overall.
