Who doesn't love a good donut? Once I saw this donut shop the other day, I knew I had to stop there one morning. Well today was the day. I picked up a half dozen to bring home for the family. They have a great selection and the woman working there described them all. Chocolate, Glazed, Boston Cream, Maple Iced Long John, and Vanilla Bean Glazed Croissant...we loved them all! I was excited to try this Donut shop. The Donuts were dry and no one in the family cared for them. I bought 7 different donuts. The only ones we liked were the 2 cake donuts a lemon and a blueberry. I am very picky about sweets since I watch my sugar intake and carbs. The donuts were not good enough to try again.. On a possitive note. They are very friendly and the store was clean. read more

We got Five-Oh so good donuts. Awesome selection of some huge ones here. Girl was nice at counter. Fritters were amazing & real dark like I like em. The croissant donut was big square & delish. You'll see the badge in the logo, and even some catchy phrases such as "Arrestingly Good Donuts" and much more.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] There is a case with the current lineup of usual suspects. They also have seasonal donuts. I was there on a weekday morning. It was just before the outlet shops open at 11am. There was a good variety of options. I went with the most popular vanilla glazed croissant, and a milk & cookies latte. It's made with one of their sugar free flavors (cookie dough). The croissant and the latte were very average. I've had glazed croissants that were way better. It just didn't taste as fresh. Also, the presentation didn't look so great. It looked like the glaze had peeled off somewhere in transit from the kitchen to the display case. The taste was okay, but the quality & freshness wasn't there. It was my first time visiting this donut shop. The service was good. There was only one person working at the time. I'm thinking that I should come earlier and try something different. We stopped here for donuts and coffee before going to the botanical gardens. Donuts were really good and huge!!!! Very tasty! We definitely recommend the donuts. I've been coming here sporadically over the last couple years. Since I live up north but have relatives down in the area. I'd commented there was a lack of donut shops several years ago and this was one of the few and they were halfway decent. There seems to be more donut places now several years later. But this one is on the way to an area that I travel frequently. I've stopped here repeatedly and while they've changed the staff, which I think is a really excellent move and the current staff was kind enough to inform me of the now 7 AM - 1 PM daily hours. And we're extremely kind with their service. I came in today and have discovered that their donuts are better than ever and now they must've changed their coffee because it is 100% better than it was several years ago when I came in which at the time it was decent coffee but it's lots better now. Really happy with what I got there today with the same lady. I don't know her name but she's there regularly m, and she really does a great job! and is extremely pleasant and nice to deal with. So because of all this the limited hours do not bother me, but the coffee is better and the donuts are better. So I'm upping my rating to five stars! Thank you Five-O donuts. read more

Enormous and delicious donuts. These donuts are so big that I can not finish one in a sitting. We typically buy a box of 4 donuts, which includes two simples and two fancies. My favorite donuts are: Boston Creme, Cookie Monster, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Hey Shorty Oreo Bday. They have a standard menu and rotate seasonal items. They discount the donuts if you buy a 6-pack (10% off) or 12 pack (15% off), but with the size of these donuts, we never buy that many at once. They also have a loyalty program to earn free donuts. The only downfall to this location is that the donuts are not made on site like the Bradenton location, but I believe they ice and decorate the donuts in-house. They might close early if they run out of donuts, but that has never happened to me at this location. This is the newest of five locations. We are happy to have a location close to home now! read more

This donut shop is located in Palmetto, by a mall. I went late morning, and they had limited selection. Busy morning, perhaps. The staff was friendly enough.
