What a cute, little, local donut place. I saw the pictures others posted and decided we had to go. We weren't disappointed! For the quality and quantity of donuts, the prices are very fair. The taste of the donuts is excellent and reminds me of old donut shops growing up when I was a kid. The dough was fluffy and tasted great, and the flavorings and icings were very flavorful but not too sweet like some of the places today. The owners were very friendly and you could see the pride in their place. I highly recommend anyone that enjoys donuts to try this place. I am so happy that we did. It was a very cute little shop and I was super excited to try it because of the old school style it had on the outside and looked promising from outside the window. However, once I entered it had a very strong odor that was very displeasing. I don't know how to explain but it almost smelled as old grease and no clean ventilation was passing through. It was really hard to order and I didn't even glance at the donut choices because of the odor. The owner was very nice and had great service, the donuts themselves were huge and great value. Pretty good, definitely not fresh from the morning but still good. I'd want to give higher stars but the odor definitely made it hard to want to spend more time inside. read more

I pass this place all the time and thought I'd try. When I walked in, the smell in the building is not good. I tried to just trust because the reviews are good. The guy working is extremely nice though, warranting the 3 stars. I got a half dozen and tried a piece of each one. They're all okay..... but the bad smell lingers in the donuts and you can taste it in the aftertaste. Maybe better if they were fresh on the weekend. read more

This was my first time stopping in here which is shocking considering that I've driven past it 100's of times. I ordered 4 different donuts to get a feel for their products. The options are slightly limited but still comprise most of the traditional options along with a few others. The donuts are fairly large in size and are quite good in general. They tend to be just a little bit denser (doughy) than I prefer but still very good. Their prices are very reasonable. Keep in mind that many fancier places now charge $3 - $5 for more "exotic" preparations. I got all 4 for $6.75 including tax. They only offer the hot basics of coffee, tea or hot chocolate. As well as a number of cold drinks in bottles and cans. The building is a little bit run down and could use a fresh coat of paint but it is clean and has an old time coffee shop feel. I will definitely consider going back when I need more donuts. read more

Fresh donuts and good coffee Seating inside this somewhat dated donut place along US41 is mainly counter stools snaking around in a couple of loops. Many of those seats were occupied when I stopped in this morning, so I got 3 donuts and coffee to go. It was a quick and safe process, and I was on my way, stopping only to take a photo of my treasures. The donuts were very fresh, sweet, and as example of my eyes being larger than my appetite, 1 more than I should have ordered. The coffee was also good, they add cream and sugar for you if that is how you want your coffee. This was a good stop. read more

If you're looking for a quaint little donut shop with a hometown feel, look no further. I couldn't decide on one donut so I ended up with a dozen. Haven't found one I don't like. There's a little bar set up to eat your donuts and drink coffee there but it's just as easy to grab your donuts and go. All around, highly recommend. Overall a good donut place. The yeast and cake donuts both are flavorful and moist. The glazes have great flavor. The only reason I couldn't give this place a 5/5 was the crème filling in the Boston crème donut. To me, it tasted bland and artificial. I prefer a more homemade vanilla custard flavor for the filling. read more

Such a nice surprise! Driving by, I figured it was an old-school donut shop & decided to stop in before a baseball tournament I was in town for. I ordered 2 egg, cheese, & bacon sandwiches (1 croissant & 1 bagel) & both were made fresh & wrapped in wax paper to go. The store is tiny, so if you have a group, I wouldn't expect seating for all: it has possibly 12 small stools max. We ordered a few donuts & everything was simply excellent! The inside of Bradenton Donut doesn't look like it's changed in 50 years. And the donut recipes probably haven't either. Excellent old school deliciousness. Love their vanilla cream filled donuts - this is a surprisingly difficult item to find outside of Krispy Kreme. They have a great variety and the owner might even custom make you donuts if you ask. Easily the best donut shop in the area - if you want pretty, to to Farmhouse; if you want a drive through, go to Dunkin; if you want trendy, go to Five-O. But if you want the best donuts in the area, don't drive by Bradenton Donut on 14th without stopping. read more

Just do it. You know you want to. They're inexpensive and delicious donuts with really nice people to help you choose and make you feel welcome. It's a diner feel kinda place, they have the typical breakfast sandwich foods (like sausage egg and cheese biscuits, etc.) but we came for the donuts. I had the jelly filled, she had the glazed and we both got coffees. Both were amazing and the coffee was much better than anything Starbucks could do. They need a drive through. read more
