Don't plan to purchase another Whirlpool!

The folks that work there are some of the nicest people on the plant, 3. Just need one bolt? You can find it like in an old time hardware store. You don't have to buy a packet, just the one bolt you need. 4. Need something but you are still in your pajamas, just pick up the phone and call, they will tell you in a short time if they have what you need and the price. 5. Store is well stocked, 6. The place is super clean and well lit. 7. Items on shelves in a logical order. 8. Aisles well marked. 9. As a former merchant, I'm a huge believer in supporting local businesses first. I went to them in fall wanting a fast growing tree to put in my front yard. They didn't have much…read moreto choose from and I should have left then. But a sales lady showed me a magnolia tree where one side had been cut off. It looked strange, but I was assured it had only been damaged in transport and would fill out get new branches soon. They're the experts, so I bought it. A man, I assume was the owner, started yelling at the sales lady saying she left her walkie in the bathroom and he was trying to get ahold of her. She had other customers who wanted to buy more than a tree! He said this in front of me, like I didn't matter!! RUDE! By the end of spring one side of the tree still had no leaves or branches, the other side looked like a few branches had died. I called and they gave me the lady who sold me the tree. She said to cut the dead branches off and it would be fine. I did and a few weeks later more branches would snap off. I called again and was told I must have planted it too deep. I took photos for them, it was planted right, must be too much water, or not enough water, or the soil wasn't good enough. They wouldn't ever admit they sold me a sickly tree that they knew there was something wrong with it. Fast forward a few years, their news letter says if you have questions just ask. So I emailed asking questions about mulch, how to prevent weeds over winter and the best time to fertilize. Danny emailed back and said he would call. I have the Home & Garden's ID on my phone but never got a call from them. I called them a week later asking for Danny and said he was going to call me. A girl said he was with a customer, but she would give him the message and have him call me. It's now been two months since he said he would call and hasn't. So I think their communication is terrible, they don't seem to care if they sell their customers bad plants, a lot of their plants are cheaper at Home Depot or Lowes and they yell and humiliate their employees in front of customers like they should be grateful they even have jobs. No way could I ever recommended The Home & Garden center to anyone.
