I visited Five Star Detailing and Wraps to ask about my new Corolla and my 20-year-old Avalon. Mike, the owner, was such a delight to talk to! He has been in this business for many years and from the vehicles I could see in the shop he has many clients and does a great job. No wonder he has a five-star Yelp rating! I have in my mind perhaps becoming an amateur detailer now that I'm retired. I want my Toyota Corolla to shine like a show car. That means giving it a ceramic coating. Mike happily told me what steps to take to get there. He willingly answered all my many questions. He examined the Corolla for starring (spiderwebs) and said there were none. I'm lucky because in the 11 months I've owned it I have gone through car washes with brushes. That stops now! I youtubed how you are *supposed* to wash a car, and discovered that two buckets are used, and a detergent specific to cars. Well, that heralds the death of the Dawn dish detergent I've always used. In the last few weeks, I ordered the correct detergent (from Adams, a big name in detailing), two buckets, and pads to use to wash the car. Even if I pay to have a ceramic coating applied, I will at least wash my car properly. Per what I've studied, people who love their cars and want them to look good, wash them every week. FYI, "graphene" is a recent alternative to ceramic. Both are excellent and popular. There are five-year versions of each. I asked Mike what could be done about my old and beloved Avalon, with its peeling clearcoat. While noting that he really needs to see the car to be sure, he said that if in fact the clearcoat is peeling off and the paint is exposed, the car can no longer be compounded (a detailing term, meaning grind it with strong grit all over the car) to get a result that will look good, even when ceramic coated. FYI, ceramic and graphene coatings are the modern replacement for wax. Unlike wax, which needs to be applied every three months or so, ceramic is applied every five years. In other words, practically speaking I never need to wax the car again. Just wash it. Then, at five years I renew the ceramic. So, though I did not spend a long time with Mike, I was mightily impressed. I recommend his establishment based on my own excellent experience with him (and to a slight degree based on all the other reviewers just raving about him). read more

I brought my 2017 Camry, Ltd, with 9000 original miles, to Five Star Detailing. Mike, the owner is so professional, honest, has great integrity, is super brilliant, and is one of is one the nicest people I have met. My car had been parked by a CHP Officer on a two lane highway. He said he would be back shortly; however where he had me park, he had me put the car in park and put the brakes on. In about 5 seconds, my car slid down a very muddy hill into a gully, and the mud was sinking my car deeper. There was no way to get out. You could only see the roof of my car. It took the Officer and the Tow Truck an hour to help me get up to the road, while each step I sank up above my ankles. It took another 2 & 1/2 hours to pull my car up to the road. I thought my car was ruined; but Mike made it more beautiful then brand new. He does perfect work, and I would recommend him to anyone. Thank you, Mike. You're better than 5 Stars. Five Star Detailing and Restoration is amazing! Mike exceeded all my expectations with his work, customer service, knowledge, and more! In summary he was able to transform what I thought was a bad paint job into a thing of beauty. Not only will I be back with my other cars, all my friends and family will be too! My story: Long story short I had my car painted black and had a falling out with the paint shop. The paint shop did the worst possible polish job ever after wet sanding all their mistakes and orange peel out. It was seriously embarrassing to tell people the car was just painted and to park it out in the sun. I was totally expecting to repaint the car. After doing some searching online, I found this place and decided to get a quote to see if it was even worth trying to salvage. Mike came to my house to look over the car after I explained my situation and my concerns over the phone. He immediately blew me away with his knowledge and passion for what he does. He gave me confidence and hope that my paint job could look good. He also noticed that my front bumper and side mirror needed to be repainted (horrible mistakes from the paint shop). His pricing was so reasonable in everything he was going to do, I immediately booked him. He got all the swirl marks/sanding marks out of my paint, repainted my front bumper and side mirror, got a ton of overspray off my engine compartment, and restored the driver side seat I mistaking left in the car at the paint shop (when the car came back the seat was faded compared to the passenger seat and back seat). Also, he took the time to teach me how to continue keeping my paint looking good! I've attached some before and after pictures to show the huge transformation. FRAUD ALERT!!!! NOT A CERAMIC PRO CERTIFIED INSTALLER as they claimed to be. THEY RUINED the finish on my 2017 Dodge Viper 1:28 GTC. I called Ceramic Pro headquarters (800) 280-6856 and spoke with Stephanie who informed me that Mike is not a certified Ceramic Pro installer and has been BLACKLISTED by Ceramic Pro. Stephanie said he uses cheap imitation Chinese products. This guy charged me thousands of dollars to ruin my cars finish. What's worse is that it's going to cost over twice that to fix it!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS GUY AND HIS BUSINESS!!!! read more

I called a few places for detailing ASAP because I was desperate! I needed it done ASAP! I work for LYFT AND UBER and some stupid punk kid barfed in my car and I forced them to clean it as much as they could. So when I called mike this place which is just a way away from my place I told him what happened and asked what kind of service he can do for how much? He quoted me $150 for a deep clean vacuum/ shampoo and condition and bio hazard treatment because barf IS A BIOHAZARD! And I called around a few places before they quoted me $50-double the price mike quoted me!! Plus they were booked and could not get me In ASAP like mike could! It took him 2 hours and when I got back to check it out looked amazing although I'm picky and kinda a perfectionist there were a few spots of staining left from the interior traffic and barf which I pointed out and he fixed it as best he could Which took it out pretty much 98% I'm very pleased with him and this service and his professional attitude when I was upset and desperate this happened!!! I will def go back to him again when I need a deep clean on the interior. I highly recommend this place and him!! Check them out its worth it and kinda pricey but still cheaper than most places! read more
