I have been to Total Wine & More several times now. They have a large selection indeed. Do they have everything? Absolutely not. What I have found extremely useful is their app and maybe not in a way that you might be using it. When I travel, read, or otherwise am in the mood for something, I will add it to my favorites list in the app. I have noticed I can do that at least for some things that aren't even available at Total Wine & More. Then, when I do go here I can reference the list to get the one or two things I want to try or restock and I know exactly which Aisle and Bay they are at. I sometimes even scan the "Not Available" in the list at other stores to see if I can grab that unique find - like the Samuel Adams Utopias 2025 that seemed to be a ghost for all of Florida. Anyway... pricing seems fair, but at least for me, the "ease of use" makes Total Wine & More a five star experience. read more

This store is enormous!!! I visited late at night on a Saturday and the staff was very helpful. A lot Of people working so everyone was being helped. Very friendly!! As many other reviewers have noted, this store is huge and there are plenty of options to choose from, I can't say they carry everything, but they have just about everything. I was looking for this special bottle of Rebel Bourbon but unfortunately, they didn't have it; regardless, they had all my tried-and-trues, so I didn't walk out empty handed. If alcohol isn't your thing, they also have a decent variety of THC, CBD, and Mushroom infused drinks to help take the edge off. We had a gift card and parked in the lot here to check out the fireworks for Red Hot and Boom. For some reason I cannot walk out of an ABC or Total Wine without spending $100 or more, its nuts. It also doesn't help when they have samples and tastings available; okay, I guess I buy that one too, lol! The store is very clean, organized, and the staff are very professional. The staff are so nice. I love walking around and just looking at all the different wines, cordials, & fun bottles. I also enjoy the tasting sections. When we arrive we were on a mission to find the Barcardi coquito. It's one of my favorite. There was another brand that food and wine was offering a sample. It was ok. We still enjoyed the Barcardi. As we were walk g around we had two other employees recommending the other Coquito. I also like the variety of the little nips. It's a great way to try a liquor without having to buy a big bottle. read more

Tequila Tasting!! I learned all about the history of tequila. The crew at Total Wine was very knowledgeable and kept everyone engaged. We tasted 8 different types of tequila. Some great and some not so great. Having a couple of chasers as an option would've made the tasting experience better. There was also plenty of food for everyone. I frequent Total Wine , I am part of their awesome reward program and I love that they offer great deals & coupons on wine and spirits. Most times when I visit on weekends they have sample tastings from some awesome companies. They usually get certain flavors or bottles prior to other companies . I was thrilled they had the new flavor of Ciroc in stock soon a few days after it came out. I didn't have to run around going to multiple places looking for it . The store is big, but things are pretty easy to find. The website is pretty accurate from what I've found and it even tells you what isle to find things on so if you're like me and need to be in and out definitely utilize the site. I could have used curbside pickup but the times available were not convenient so I popped in to shop. This store can be so overwhelming the first time you go. It is HUGE! That's because of the vast amount of choices and varieties of alcoholic beverages available at this establishment. Do yourself a favor, find an employee. They will gladly steer you in the right direction when you tell them what you are looking for. If it's too overwhelming, you can go to their website and purchase what you want online and pick it up curbside. Just be sure to leave yourself enough time. It's not instantaneous. When Total Wine revealed their plan to open a store in Altamonte, I was pretty excited, not just because it is a great store for wine and beer but also because it meant a much shorter drive for me compared to the Colonial location. What I like about Total Wine is the very large selection of wines and beers from literally all around the world. While I'm not a Spirits consumer, plenty of aisle and shelf space are dedicated to the stronger stuff. Another advantage to shopping beer here is the vast selection and the ability to buy singles and seasonal brews. Sometimes I like to try one particular beer before committing to purchase a 4 or 6 pack. Additionally, Total Wine offers knowledgeable employees, drink ware, munchies, refrigerated wines and beers, wine and beer classes, weekend sampling, growlers and kegs, and a rewards program. The one oddity is the store layout at the entrance to the store. You'll need assistance navigating unless you like to wander down each short aisle on the left. (But don't worry, it's not so bad that you'll get lost.) Once you reach the main portion of the store you'll find it easier. If you haven't been to total wines before, there are a lot of things to choose from. Anything from beer to wine to the hard stuff. If you're looking for something, you'll probably find it here. Know your local prices as some things are better deals at ABC or your local mom and pop store. The sampling station is usually pretty good at other locations. This one, the staff seemed to be catering to one guy while a few of us waited, sampling stuff himself instead of offering to customers. I did try a new bourbon I liked and a new tequila as well. Great that you can try some things before you have a bottle on your shelf for years to come. I wandered around a bit looking for a few beers. It was hard to locate with the big selection. And nobody in sight to offer assistance. I have not had that trouble at other Total Wines locations. Nothing special about this one in comparison to other. It huge though. read more

So, this past weekend Kitten and I found ourselves with a little free time in Altamonte Springs after dining with a couple coffin dodgers. Seems we had a little time to spare, and we had seen a Total Wine nearby. Since we live by the philosophy that you can never have too much wine on hand, we thought we'd pop in to try this never previously visited location. As I mentioned, we like wine. Scratch that, we love wine and partake often. Our home wine fridge stores well over 150 bottles. We keep it full of quality selections. Some of them are pricey, expensive enough that friends might be afraid to open them. And some of them are quite inexpensive...but they're good. There are plenty of wine snobs that would turn their noses up at some of our inventory if they knew just how affordable they were. But I digress, back to the store visit... Tony, the Irish gentleman we met on the sales floor of Total Wine didn't know us, our budget or what kinds of wine we stocked at home. All he knew is he saw us shopping and offered to help in any way he could. We had recently come across a very economical Chilean Sauvignon Blanc and were hoping to buy up a bunch should this location have any. And btw, when I say very economical, I mean like the guy living under the nearest bridge can afford it. We asked for his help locating the wine. Many people would've spent as little time as possible with us after realizing that we weren't going to set any sales records that afternoon. But not this guy. Tony knows his stuff, not only did he immediately point us in the right direction, but he also knew the wine and went into some details about the origins of the Chilean grapes. He agreed with us that this wine was a great value not because of the cheap price but because it is seriously underpriced when one considered its quality. As we were collecting up what bottles they had he offered to show us a few other selections that he had found to be underpriced for their caliber. He really seemed to know his stuff, so I took him up on a couple of his suggestions. I'm looking forward to seeing how his palate compares to ours. Turns out we may be making frequent trips to this area and when we do, I'll be making a point to stop at this Total Wine. I suggest you do as well and say hello to Tony the Irish sommelier if you see him. My guess is you'll leave the store with something new to sample. read more

I love to order online and just run by and pick it up. Customer service line is always short. When I have time, I peruse the store. But there is so much to look at! Beware, I always spend more than I intend, because of all the good finds! Inside the store they do samplings, so I've tried some of their mixers and some spirits. It's pretty neat to be able to talk with the reps of these companies to get insight on their product. They've got tons of beer- bottled canned and kegs! If you have advance notice, you can special order a keg. But they have quite a variety on hand if you didn't plan ahead. They rent the keg key at a reasonable price so you don't need to buy one. Wine selection is incredible. Whiskey selection is too! There is a small selection of accessories and cups etc. but you might have better luck elsewhere. read more

Okay, it's a chain, but it is so nice to have a great selection of so many things alcohol! I can find nearly ANYTHING here, and if they don't have it, they will order it for you. The store is laid out so it's easy to find what you want, or find something you didn't even know existed, and the staff are all very knowledgeable and will help you find a wine (or any drink) that will satisfy your taste or the tastes of your friends. If you are looking for something specific, you will probably find it here. I wish there was a total wine closer to the Oviedo area. Their selection is much better than the local ABC. Asking an employee for an item in the store was a hassle the lady clearly looked disturbed likes it not her job to assist customers, while standing under a sign that say customer service. Also theres another worker there (older gentleman, bald head) very rude , doesn't use words when interacting with customers , waves fingers and point. I find that funny also because it is always 2 long lines but they have about 8 registers, in here they definitely cater to their preferences of customers you can tell . This review is specific to a Sunday afternoon at 2PM. The variety to choose from in all sections was plentiful like other locations. However, with a busy business, there was ONE register open. I actually stood in the vodka "aisle" for a few minutes contemplating just putting down my bottles and walking out instead of completing my purchase. A second register was opened but even that was fail but I reckon that was a customer issue. Employee management could have been better handled on a Sunday but when you need your booze, you deal with issues to get your purchase completed. read more

We stopped in to get stocked up and so glad that we did! First off, this is not a place you can buy from online, unless you know what you want! We hopped in on a Sunday, opened up the Vivino app and started going to town discovering new, highly-rated wines that did not break the bank. They have sections by country and by type, and some that have worker reviews as well. The prices are clearly marked. The section is hard to beat. who knew a liquor store could be so vast?? Testament to the Vivino app as helper: When we got to the front counter, the guy at the check out said "ah, this is a nice one. Oh, this one too! and this one... wow, you have some really nice choices here!" We ended up getting wine from all over the world including a special Greek "orange" wine (for the color) and much much more. Plus we got a little limoncello and orange liqueur for good measure. Who can resist? It all looked so awesome. My wine room is stocked. Stop in and find out for yourself the amazing selection they have here. Couple misses: they did not have Becherovka, or Beirao. Another update... Total Wine is like... money, or a knife; they are neither lovable nor evil - it just depends on the user/shopper. If you're smart, you'll get some good out of it. If you don't do your homework, you won't get to go to the head of the class. So here's a primer for wine-lovers like us: I do most of my wine shopping from the big 'C' - great prices to begin with, and when there are discount coupons, you're in bargain heaven. After Costco, I keep my eyes open, especially on a place like TW, along with those Publix BOGOs (some of which are only at one location and unadvertised). With TW, some of their prices are outrageous while others range from OK to laughably good. And if you get those 20% off coupons, which are coming with regularity, I leap into action. The pluses on TW are the website and the selection. The minuses are the INANE ways in which they 'organize' their wine ("Alphabetical", I'm sure they say at HQ, "Never heard of it", the lack of attention to vintages, and the sometimes snooty/uninformed staff. But here's how I 'use' TW. Now that I have both WS and WE, I use their reviews/articles as the basis to go shopping - on line. But here's peeve number one. When you search for a wine, it'll 'find' one, even if it might be a store light years away from you. So if you don't pay attention (and who can, 100% of the time?), you're under the mistaken impression it's available AT THE STORE under which your search was conducted. So it is with the new WE's latest top 100 best values and their article on moschofileros that I 'went to work'. I'd already done some shopping last week, using the coupon code on line to score a few good buys. This week, with the new knowledge, I had to go to the store to complete my hunt - TW is notoriously careless about vintages for a 'renowned' wine merchant. Also, they have trouble getting rid of vintages that are not desirable: e.g., the Acrobat Pinot Gris was rated 91 for the 2015 vintage, but do you think they have it? Nope, the older '2014'! Likewise, when I was looking for the Spier AND the Dry Creek Chenin Blanc, it was either the newer or older vintages that were there, but not the one that's highly rated. Being in the store just made me realize how frustrating their layout can be. Upon finding that 2 of the wines were not the 'right' vintage, and unable to find 3 others, I approached the desk for help. Michael was super nice, doing the searches and then thanking me for my input when I told him some of my frustrations as outlined above. Lo and behold, when I was still shopping, he came back with a $20 gift card for giving him constructive feedback. Nice customer service and smart young man! I was able to get a WE 91 Four Vines Zin regular retail $13, for $8. TW's price was $9.99, and you have the 20% off. Yup, here's one of the pluses at TW - SOME of their wines have BETTER prices than elsewhere. I also got a couple of nice Portuguese Douros, and another WE top 100: the Woodbridge PN which retails for $8, but at TW, it's $4.97!!! (no discount for that one, as it ends in a '7') I'll definitely come back from time to time, informed, with coupon in hand, ready for some judicious choices. read more

Every total wine I've been has always had a great selection for spirits and wine. They also provide some background information on certain selections or popular wines. Their website is very robust as well, allowing you to view what they tentatively have in stock. This was my first time at this location and this store specifically had excellent customer service. I was able to find what I was looking for fairly quickly. One item to improve the stores experience, would be to show the location of the drink you are looking for online or within the app (similar to how home depot has their app set up) - it may not be needed if they have sufficient staffing, but would be a nice option. But still an overall great experience. read more

Not a bad place to pickup what you need. Somethings really frustrate me, like the gift sets that come from the manufacturer that say free glasses....yet total wine up charges for extra profit. It says free...I've never been charged extra at other liquor stores....wish I had noticed before I got home and checked the receipt and was charged $2 extra. Oh well. There's nothing like a call from your mother stating that your parents don't have any rum to make coquito for the NYE gathering to prompt a quick run to your local Total Wine. The parking was packed but not hostile around noon when i went. Walked in and easily found the Bacardi ($12) from their well stocked shelves, wandered around while debating what else to get. Made the trip out to Altamonte to find a specific beer for Father's Day that I can't find anywhere else, unibroue, and as I was carrying it in, properly, from the handle of the box, the bottom of the box opened, and all of the bottles broke. The store refused to do anything as far as a replacement. So now I'm out a Father's Day gift, and I'm definitely not driving back to pay for another box from a business who doesn't care that their products break. read more

This TW was a light in the overall darkness that was my time in Florida. After a hellish trip involving a long commute on I4, JT needed a drink. To my delight, there was a Total Wine a mere 1/2 mile from my hotel meaning it only took 45 minutes to get there (just kidding - a little. FL traffic is terrible) This location had a much reduced selection compared to other locations I've been to and prices appeared to be somewhat higher. If you're into good beer and you live in the greater Orlando area, TW is really the best place to go. Sure, there are some indie bottle shops, but they tend to have small selections (and stock is often ancient). I find TW, the chain, to have a bigger and better selection than ABC the chain. This is probably my favorite TW shop in Orlando. First of all, it's easy to get in and out of here, especially if you're coming off I-4. Parking is plentiful. Although the layout of this store is kind of odd since the door is all the way to the left. Usually it's all the way to the right. Anyway, beer selection is pretty good. Much better than any ABC around here. I find the stock can be old at times, but that seems to be true of the entire state of Florida. You want fresh beer here? Go to the brewery and get it directly. This store also seems a little cleaner and better organized than most TW's. Staff also seems a little more knowledgeable. Bear in mind I mean, but just slight degrees - not leaps and bounds. I find most Total Wine stores as a whole to be pretty much the same. But like I said, this is my go-to store (the one at Millenia is probably a close second). read more

Arrived at our Scheduled time only to be told someone won't be here for an hour. No apology, nothing. Then the associate who was a manager decided to fudge a consultation. Compared to the Colonial Drive location. I found the layout a little different. But once I got my bearings it was OK. I picked up a few things that I needed for Independence Day celebrations. I picked up some Merlot, Spumante, for some sangria. Took a look around, I'm very similar to the other location. I work near this one, so I'll probably be going to this one a little more frequently.
