My family and I were looking to preserve my grandmother's wedding dress while she was on hospice care and were referred to Five Star Wedding Gown Specialists by a family friend. My grandmother was an expert seamstress and had made her gown by hand, using whatever fabric they could afford at the time. As the years went by, it had turned an interesting shade of yellow. It probably didn't help matters any that it was stored at the bottom of a trunk and the trunk was in the hottest room in the small house with no air conditioning, but the ladies at Five Star assured us that they had seen many other gowns in worse conditions and that they would be able to bring it as close to its original condition as possible. Needless to say, words cannot express how beautifully it came out and how happy we were with the results. It looked like we had just purchased the gown from a trendy boutique. It had been stored in my parent's attic for too many years and was pretty much a yellow color instead of the brilliant white my mother once described. My friend used Five Star Wedding Gown Specialists to have her gown preserved, so I knew about them from her. My dress was a wreck after my wedding though because of how epic a day it was. I seriously doubted anyone would be able to remove all of the makeup, spray tan, food, and beverages that had ended up on there.
