This review was written by my wife: I walked into the shop thinking I was just going to just look around but I ended up finding THE dress! Shea was SUPER kind and patient, and really paid attention to what I liked on each dress and chose dresses from the rack that more closely fit the specific look I was going for! Once I found my dress, Shea told me to make a wish, and I got to ring a bell signifying that I had said yes to the dress! Although the dress I found was beautiful, I ended up making it my own with multiple alterations. Theresa, the owner, reassured my requests by saying that they could virtually make my dress look however I wanted! I ended up ordering my dress with a sweetheart neckline, hemming it in the front to match my height, adding on a belt they had in-store, and adding snap-on sleeves with sewed-on white flowers. The dress came in 4 months after ordering, then I had my initial alterations 4 months out from my wedding, then a final fitting 1 month before the big day. Theresa truly made the dress of my DREAMS come to life!! The alterations were done on time, and were PERFECT!! It was also extremely convenient to have ordered my dress and have the alterations done in-house. Theresa is very talented, and the alterations cost was WORTH EVERY PENNY! Ladies, Save yourself some time, money and sanity and go elsewhere. Teresa seems genuine up front but she is not to be trusted. Teresa left me without a wedding dress TWO WEEKS before my wedding. Here's what happened: I came in TWO MONTHS before my wedding for alterations and Teresa acted as though she was doing me a favor for agreeing to alter my dress in such a "short time period" however she agreed to alter it for a RUSH FEE for a total of almost $800. 5 weeks later I get the dress and it was several inches too small despite the fact that I had lost 8 lbs!! I took the dress back and Teresa did not only not apologize and offer to correct the situation but instead she blamed it on me without remorse. She took my measurements AGAIN and unwillingly agreed to re-alter my dress. Finally, 2 weeks before the wedding I got the dress but this time it was about THREE SIZES TOO BIG. I was left to search frantically to find a wedding dress that I could buy off the rack. I had already invested so much time and money on the dress that Teresa ruined and here I was searching for a NEW dress that I would have to pay for out of pocket. This is a situation a bride should never have to be in. Luckily, I was able to find an amazing tailor that altered my dress perfectly in TWO DAYS for a small fraction of the cost that Teresa charged me (that again I had to pay out of pocket for). After the wedding Teresa ignored my calls/emails for a month and she finally gets back to me with an email basically saying, "TALK TO MY LAWYER." Her "lawyer" said she would pay $150 so long as I signed a contract prohibiting me from sharing my horror story with anyone. To me, that amount is laughable and insulting given the hundreds of dollars Teresa stole from me along with the immeasurable amount of stress she put me through. Prior to my consultation- they replied quickly and positively both on theknot & via email! They followed up with a phone call as well to confirm my consultation. Day of 1st consultation: Mallory greeted me by name as I entered the salon, politely accommodated an additional bridal party guest, and took the time to look up my venue and asked about me as well as my relationship. Sarah was also helping pull dresses overhearing feedback I was giving. Both Sarah and Mallory were attentive to both me and my party. At my initial consultation I did not feel ready to say yes because it was my first time trying on dresses. Mallory gave me advice, but was NOT pushy. Called and made an appointment a few days prior and they asked what I liked and what I didn't. You'd think they have things ready for you right? Wrong. They didn't even have a room ready for me and the girl didn't even listen to what I liked and what I didn't. She pulled out all dresses I described I hated and kept telling her that and shut me down every time I said it saying "well you can customize it to something you like more" I shouldn't have to "imagine" what a dress is going to look like when I'm putting so much money into it. They have a huge selection of all types of dresses, and are so helpful. You can tell that they have been doing this for a long time. They were very helpful, knowing that they were our very first stop in dress shopping, making sure the bride tried on a variety of styles to make sure she found the right style, pulled all the styles they had that were similar to what she liked, and were so friendly. Only downside is that the location is a little tricky to find since it's off the main road on a small street, but there's not a sign on the main road to catch your eye. Highly recommend! read more

I had purchased my dress months ago before learning of brides by elizabeth but was still needing a cathedral lengh veil to match my dress. I called them and scheduled an appoinment were they asked me to bring my dress to ensure the veil matched. I went there and was assisted by Jennie and Teresa and they were able to help me find the perfect cathedral lengh veil that did not break the bank! I recently went back to do some alterations and to potentially get a mother of the bride dress. What stood out to me again is how how sweet and wonderful they were and how they never rushed or pressured my mom or me to pick something out. I highly recommend Brides by Elizabeth as you get wonderful service, good quality, and best of all a good price. I ordered a dress a few months ago and came in last week to try it on. I was super excited about it and was expecting it to be awesome, well boom the dress did not fit at all. WAY TOO SMALL. She measured me again and basically told me I went up 5 dress sizes and that I had gained 30 pounds when the scale says I was the same a few months ago (I had not gained any weight at all.) Whoever took my measurements did it wrong the last time and wrote down the wrong size. So here I am having to pay for that dress and a new one because they won't exchange it and order a different size when it was there fault to begin with. This time I will make sure they do it right.
