It was quite expensive just for the transmission evaluation and if I needed more work it would not be discounted in any way. Despite their polite attitude and fast service, I took it to another dealer which was half the cost for an evaluation and their report was the complete opposite of Lake Sumter Trans!! They suggested a transmission flush and fluid replacement and it absolutely worked. It also cost half as much for what I was quoted at Lake Sumter! My truck is running like brand new. I appreciate the time they took to try and help but there is always a benefit in having a 2nd opinion. Even their explanation of why my engine has issues was totally wrong. They stated it is one of the worst engines/trans and yet the other place said they hardly ever have any issues with this engine and that it is super reliable and low maintenance. They suggested a flush of trans fluid would probably fix it. I guess just google info and kinda know what you are dealing with before you go so you know the "motor" language and don't get talked into something that doesn't sound right. So glad I went to a second place. I was about to sell off my beautiful 2019 Chevy truck with 52,000 miles on it and in mint condition bc I thought I would be spending over $7,000 on a transmission.
