We had a great experience utilizing Fix it Rick Mobile RV repair. We had been struggling with our RV fridge for several years and finally bit the bullet and decided we wanted to get it fixed. My husband is pretty handy but after several attempts and not getting it to work we decided to pursue a repair service. We specifically chose a mobile repair because nobody wants to hook their trailer up and tow it down to the repair shop. I called several mobile RV repair businesses and Rick was not only the most responsive, but he tried to problem solve the issue with me on the phone before he even came out. When that didn't work we scheduled a time for him to come to the house. I also chose Rick because he could get out to the house within a reasonable amount of time (I think it was 1-2 weeks). Several others told me they didn't have availability for 4+ weeks! Rick also had competitive and fair prices for his service. Once Rick was out here he let my husband support the repair and learn more about the RV, talking him through what he was checking and teaching him along the way. He genuinely cared that my husband learned more about what he was doing. I think that's a huge testament to quality repair workers. Rick solved the fridge mystery, fixed our RV fridge, and we can now use it on propane, the generator, and a home plug-in! We even tested it out on a week long trip and had no problems! We were selling our class B motorhome and needed all the fixtures and appliances tested out and given a clean bill of health. We were in a bit of a rush since the for sale ad was already posted on RV Trader. I called several brick and mortar outfits, and couple mobile outfits, but none called me back. I called Rick and he answered right a way. He set a date and gave us a window of arrival time. He arrived on time, was very nice and knew what he was doing. This guy is hands down the worst businessman and repairman EVER!!!! Let me start off by saying that I didn't seek "Fix it Rick" out, he came as a referral from the company holding my extended warrantee on my RV. So when he showed up he was pleasant enough, however he began the diagnosis of my 12V fridge all the while telling me how good he is at his job...(Pffffffftt) So, he completes the diagnosis and writes me an invoice for $300 (which I had to Pay) saying it was the PCB (power control board) I submit that to the warrantee agency and they said fine but "FIX it Rick" would have to contact us in order for us to pay for parts. This "Jamoke" never recontacted the warrantee agency and when I followed up with him via phone call to remind him he slowly stopped taking my call until ultimately ghosted me all together. At this point I decided to just buy the part (PCB) from Lippert and install it my self. Wouldn't you know it......that was not the issue with the fridge, it still wouldn't operate properly, is was a misdiagnosis from Mr. "Im the best at my job" he sucks!!! I took the RV to Blue compass in Reno and they re-diagnosed the 12V fridge and determined it was the compressor and replaced the fridge. This worthless POS cost me $300 (service call) + $200 for the (PCB) for nothing!!! the ghosted me. Screw him find anyone else this guy has no integrity, dishonest and sucks at his job. This fine pos came to our rv park to look at some leaks that needed to be sealed & to have the roof coated on my sister's rv, he gets on the roof doesn't inspect the roof at all & yells for his daughter that's in the truck waiting to get him a caulking gun so he can lay a 6 inch bead. He gets off the roof heads back to his truck & charges her 200$. Please take your business else where fix it rick is not for you!!! read more

If I could give Rick 10 stars, I would. Rick is A+mazing! Over the Memorial Day weekend, I emailed him at 7am (on Sunday) with an electric/solar issue we were experiencing and preventing us to go on a trip scheduled for the following Tuesday. Within 30 minutes I had a response that he could help. He told me he could fit me in Monday afternoon (a holiday). I asked if he could just call or text when he was on his way. He immediately responded to my email AND texted me a confirmation. But wait, the service didn't stop there! By the time Rick arrived Monday afternoon, my ONE issue (on a 2023 Grand Design Momentum 25G) that I had just purchased 6 weeks ago turned into FOUR (maybe more) issues. With a positive, upbeat, and willingness to help attitude, Rick was able to fix all of our issues within an hour. We were able to hear a wealth of knowledge and tips/tricks along the way. One of our issues was a tail light from the factory with water inside (which needed to be replaced). Luckily we found the part locally the following morning and Rick stopped by after a busy days work to put it back on. He kept me updated all along on when he would be to our trailer. Rick was a miracle worker and was able to salvage our first trip in our new trailer. We will be on the road today thanks to Rick! I don't know what we would have done without him.
