He went over everything he recommended, took before and after video, and showed me where I needed corrections in the before video, and where I made the corrections in the after video. Unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to go to the range after the lesson. However, I played for the first time since the lesson yesterday, and I saw a huge difference in my game. I'm not a great golfer, but I had several pars and took about 6 strokes off of my normal score. I still have a long way to go but I would tell you that Frank is a great teacher and can help. If I can find time to play more golf, I will definitely come back to him for lessons.

I walked in looking to purchase THREE new callaway quantum clubs, expecting the total to be over $1000. The first older gentleman I asked was standing by the simulators. "Hello, do you have the new quantum's to try". He responded with, no, we won't have them for 3 weeks. I then asked, "well how about the new mizuno?". Again he responded no, another 3 weeks. So then I walk over to the racks, I find the exact two clubs I'm looking to try available. I bring them over, and say: "it looks like you have the clubs, can I try them?" I am then scolded, told those are new clubs, don't touch them, put them back. I say well yes obviously, and returned the club. Finally, after 20 minutes, I was then able to try the new quantum driver. I hit it for 5 mins, then was ready to try the mizuno. The guy who helped us was busy with another group. So I waited. When he returned I asked to try the mizuno. TO MY SURPRISE: he then tells me, you have to leave the booth. I asked Why sir? Do you think i am not able to buy the clubs? He responded with, we have another customer waiting, and you've been here 10 minutes. I just said ok, and left. Not worth my stress. Talk about losing an easy sale though. Horrible taste in my mouth after this. Shocking really.

I just started playing golf and needed some fundamentals in order to get my swings right. I got…read morethe Groupon for an 1hr swing lesson, sent an email to Bob, he set up an account for me, and I was signed up with Cinchai "Cheech" Chuvichien at The Lakes at El Segundo for a week later. Cheech's station is at the top left of the driving range, and he was all set up and ready to go when I arrived. Because I was new and didn't have my own clubs, he actually got a couple of women's clubs from the clubhouse so I can practice with those. Cheech used the video analysis on my stance, swings, and everything else, and I was able to see how I was lined up vs how I should be lined up, my swing movements, and my club placement. It was an hour but I was still getting so tired at the end from swinging, haha. I had a lot of fun and was able to consistently get a good ball contact and shot over half of my shots, so I was happy. I didn't sign up for any additional lessons because they are way to expensive for me, and I think I just need to keep on practicing and playing on my own and making sure that I'm hitting the ball correctly 90% of the time before I need further and more advanced instructions.

I sent him several messages and he failed to respond. All I got was a sales email back asking if I wanted to sign up for a lesson plan at really high prices (I think about $140 per hour). He was obviously overwhelmed with the Groupons. He should have set a limit. Also I expected some kind of communication back, whether it was a message saying he was busy and to contact him again in a couple of weeks. As I had started my lesson plan I at least expected some kind of preferential treatment over those who had not started yet. Anyhow Groupon refunded me when I explained the issue to them. Lesson wise, he started about 20 minutes late, but we still worked on and did the full hour and probably some more. The tips and pics taken were useful. However I did not like his instruction. I found him very cantankerous and flippant. He asked me questions and when I tried to answer, gave me smart ass responses. I certainly will not be going back again. There are so many other good (and cheaper) choices in the area - especially Zack Allen in Burbank.

The sim didn't work for the first 45+ minutes. Adam, another member who's been coming here a while and was the only other person in the building, couldn't get it going either. Really nice guy -- he offered to swap bays since his was working fine. Called the owner and got "did you read the instructions." Yeah. Multiple times. Then bay #2 wouldn't start either. We eventually get it running, and at 11:00 on the dot Matt shuts us down remotely. Not one extra minute for the 45 we lost to his equipment. I called to ask about it and got attitude before I finished a sentence, with an older woman yelling at me in the background -- couldn't even make out what either of them was saying because they were both going at once. Then he accuses us of using two bays. My brother's girlfriend was on the original bay for maybe 20 minutes, and only because Adam had told us the owner wouldn't care. Matt could have shut that bay down the second we moved over, or called to say something. Instead he says he was watching us on camera the whole time, then saved it for the end to yell at me and use it as the reason I wasn't getting the time I paid for. Paid full price for barely half a session, then got berated for breaking a rule nobody mentioned. Own your equipment problems instead of taking it out on customers.

I purchased a membership specifically to be able to play at night. We scheduled Bay #1 from 9:30-11:00 PM. When we arrived, the simulator wasn't working for the first 30+ minutes. Even another longtime member named Adam, who was there at the time, couldn't get it working. Adam eventually suggested that we use his bay since his simulator was working, while he moved to another bay. We called the owner, Matt, for assistance, and instead of being helpful, his response was essentially, "Did you read the instructions?" We had already tried the instructions multiple times and were simply trying to get the equipment working. We eventually got everything running, but at exactly 11:00 PM, the system was shut down. Considering we lost over 30 minutes of our scheduled session because the simulator wasn't functioning, we assumed there would be some flexibility to make up that lost time. When I called Matt to explain the situation, he was extremely rude and dismissive. He also accused us of using two bays. My girlfriend did use another bay for approximately 20 minutes, but we only did so because Adam, a longtime member, suggested it and told us the owner was generally laid-back about it. Regardless, the way the situation was handled was completely unnecessary. Instead of trying to resolve the issue or acknowledge that we lost a significant portion of our paid time due to equipment not working, Matt was rude from the beginning. There was also a woman in the background who was involved in the conversation and was equally unpleasant. As a first-time customer and new member, this was a terrible introduction to the business. The equipment needs to actually work, and more importantly, customers should be treated with basic respect when there is an issue. Waste of money. I would not recommend coming here.

Nancy is one of the best golf instructors I have met, and a super nice person too. She understands golf swing mechanics better than most and can visually see swing flaws. She is then able to easily convey how to make changes. In one 30 min lesson with a slight grip change and set-up/takeaway change she had me compressing the ball like I never had before. I took it to the course and it and added 10+ yards to my good hits. It also has given me more control of my chipping/pitching which was a totally unexpected. I expect to take many more lessons with Nancy. You should too!
