The 9hole family course has a few good greens, and a few bad ones, but, it's really inexpensive.

Oh you fancy huh? Yes, I felt fancy at my husband's holiday…read moreparty. This review is for their party services they provided when his office booked this venue. Boca Rio Golf Club is exclusively for members and if they want to book parties etc. This place is very proper and very old Boca glamour. They had arranged a gorgeous room with beautiful flowers everywhere. For cocktail hour the servers were providing top notch service. As soon as I was done eating or drinking they took the plate or drink from me. And of course I went a few times to try all the appetizers. The shrimp cocktail, tuna tataki, smoked salmon, veggie dumplings, etc were all amazing. For the dinner segment, they had set up portable chef stations outside. This gave everyone the opportunity to look outside to the pristine golf course and enjoy the view. They had steak stations, seafood, Asian cuisine etc. I was stuffed from cocktail hour however I tried a few items. The only thing lacking at dinner time was the fact many of the dishes were very low on seasoning and a bit bland. Overall, the food was excellent but I needed a bit more salt/seasoning. My favorite dinner component was the endless arrangement of different kinds of salads. There is nothing like fresh greens. For dessert: I was thrilled they set up bite size portion desserts. My favorite was the carrot cupcake, which tasted divine. Overall, this club is gorgeous and if you have a chance to go, check it out. Class A act for sure.~

Got a pair of FJ men's small because there were no women's socks. Employees at the desk were kind and helpful. Very energetic. They offered me a cup for water but I had my own, and I filled it at the orange Gatorade style cooler just outside of the office. There is a large sign for the bathrooms which leads to a series of port o pottys. No indoor bathrooms. They were indeed not smelly and decently clean. But no sink??? Grabbed a cart and headed to my car to load up. The started must've been on a break but I heard the two guys inside checking in for the same tee time as mine. We paired up on hole 1 and waited for the group ahead of us to clear. The carts are basic- no gps. There is a cooler with no ice. No tees. No towel. Just a Bluetooth speaker. Distances on the card led me to the red tees. The guys played from the white. The course was in pretty good shape. Some areas had bald fairways. But for $35 I really cannot complain. Greens were in great shape and so were the sand traps which unfortunately I found myself in more than once. Nice layout. Lots of nature. Slow pace. In 1:15, I made it to the green on 6, but had to go pick up mom. I excused myself around the groups ahead of us and the guys gave me a credit for $18 (future 9 hole). They yelled at a guy to come help me unload at my car and return the cart for me but I declined. My car was very close. Overall I'd say very enthusiastic and helpful service. Nice course. Range is getting an upgrade and will be ready soon. I will come back if I'm in the area, but I'd hope to go when it's not busy. Playing slow at 2:45pm in August is a sure fire way to get sunburned. And it wasn't the group ahead of us. There was a group ahead of them and ahead of them etc. it's just the way it is sometimes.

This course is rated by many as the best Par 3 Course in the Country (Augusta's Par 3 course is 9…read moreholes btw)... and whenever I meet anyone who's been here they rave. This is because it's such a nice course, it's along the Intercoastal and the Ocean, the condition is great, and the people here are so nice. Oh yeah, the restaurant is excellent too! Such a treat to play here. This public course is only made possible by the fact that wealthy businessman Michael Phipps (his grandfather was Henry Phipps, a partner of Andrew Carnegie in US Steel) owned all the property (and a lot more) and built it for his own personal use in 1961. It was privately owned until 1973, when Phipps sold it to the Town of Palm Beach for only $5 million. The course was renovated and redesigned in 2009 by Hall of Fame golfer Raymond Floyd, making it the great course it is today. Tee times can be booked online. Also, they have an excellent driving range and putting green. Make sure you include a meal. So great sitting on the deck which overlooks the ocean. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
