Pretty standard government owned course. Course is in decent shape, but employees don't know how to treat people right. Starter is always rude. No matter how frequently you play here, expect to hear "Sorry sir, that's our policy" a lot. Has potential if you get the right people running it. read more

employees are incompetent, used to frequent this course as a kid into my adult life having grown up in the area. I tried to book a tee time for just myself to get a round in and they told me I couldn't play as a single, in the same breathe told me I could take a later tee time which made no sense at the time. I took that later tee time because I was already there and just wanted to play. After paying i gave my slip to the starter and they tried to stick me on a cart with a compete strange which I've never heard of in my life. this place is ass backwards sounds like they need to buy more carts.. when I was leaving I saw a single player riding out to hole one. Course was in great shape and the pro shop provided great service, no complaints at all there. But boy oh boy were the geriatric starters something else. Let's go chronologically. First, the clubhouse bathrooms were under repair so we had to use outhouses. Very annoying but understandable. They weren't too close to the clubhouse, so while we waited for our tee time, we drove over to use them beforehand. Immediately, the starter followed us and questioned what we were doing and told us it wasn't our time to tee off. We explained we were just using the bathroom. We were a bit perplexed but didn't think too much about it. When it was closer to our turn, the starter demanded we go round up the group that was playing in the tee time before us which was at the driving range. While the group in front of us were friends of ours, isn't it in the realm of responsibilities for the starter to do that? We obliged him, but before doing so we asked if we could drive our cart over to them or if we had to walk (given the outhouse issue earlier). He responded in a smartass tone, "well if they want to play today, you better" or something along those lines. Maybe it was the dementia, but this clearly struggled with the patron client relationship. His attitude continued when it was our turn, he demanded the small white slip the pro shop gave us upon checking in, and treated us like we were were idiots when we didn't have it ready on demand. Just a really unpleasant guy all around. We think that's the last we'll have to deal with him and were right, but then we met someone else who worked at the course who was equally as unpleasant. After 9 holes, we wanted to get some Advil from our car so we drove the cart out into the parking lot to do so. A few yards into the parking lot the cart stops and we realize we were out of bounds, so we turn it around to drive it back to the path. Who's there but another course guy walking toward us. And in the Links of Boynton snide tone with which we had grown so accustomed, "oh so you just opened the gate to drive out here?". We did no such thing and informed him that "the gate" was open and that we were quickly getting Advil from our car so we didn't back up the course. In this guys defense, he realized he overreacted and didn't push it any further. But generally why was the staff so hostile? Never have we been treated like that, especially at a public course. My advice, put the starters out to pasture and get a new crop of retirees. read more

Friend and I have been golfing together for years so we share my golf bag with the best clubs both of us own. We get kicked out due to the course regulation being that every player must have their own golf bag. Then, instead of being refunded I WAS CHARGED FOR TWO ROUNDS. I completely respect and understand that course regulations will and should be upheld, but throughout this entire process we were spoken to like PUPPIES by employees and managers that clearly have minimal knowledge on basic customer service. It's one thing to kick people off of the course because they don't have enough golf bags per person, but it's another thing when you charge a PAYING CUSTOMER for two rounds instead of refunding them! While resolving this the assistant manager of the course made nasty and disrespectful comments; I have an "attitude problem" and "I don't know anything about credit cards". Unbelievable dealing with this, still have not been refunded for not one but TWO round I didn't even play. Played a round in the off season for only $25 with a cart! You can't go wrong! Decent executive course, could be better taken care of as far as the greens go but very payable! Great staff very friendly! read more

Excellent value golf, greens are true and surprisingly fast for a municipal course. Plenty of wild life, wandering around, birds, gators, lizards, raccoons etc. If you're just going to play 9 usually you can get a teatime the same day. Which is awesome for someone like me last minute free time read more

June 2022, played the Front Nine only. The greens are well managed and the staff were friendly. I honestly, can't say a bad word about this course. When finished we stopped for food at their clubhouse which is a little outdated, but the Chicken Wrap tasted fine and the French Fries were nice and crispy. All and all I would play here again. read more

Love the course!!! Actually I thought it was a hidden gem . Greens running very true, tee boxes and fairways in nice shape and challenging from the tips.That being said, the absolute nerve of the city of Boynton Beach to charge 50 cents for a 12oz styrofoam cup without a lid for drinking water is outrageous and they should be embarrassed. This is south Florida and it's hot. Also looking at my greens fee the city of Boynton Beach have the nerve to charge a $2.35 credit card surcharge. Get your priorities straight and stop being so cheap and petty, especially for a city owned golf course! Btw the round cost with tax,surcharge and cart $75.00 without the cup! read more

The course is in good shape. My only issue is they are now charging a fee of 2.75% if you use a credit or debit card. Not happy about that. As far as I know they are the only course charging that fee. read more

I like this place. Staff are always friendly (except the grumpy old guy who works the front desk. Don't know his name but runs outside for a cigarette all day). A bit pricey during the season but we like to run over in the off season for 18 holes. Can tell it is an older course but that is not a bad thing. Cute raccoon who hangs out on the first couple of holes. Be nice to her she only has three working legs. read more

What a great municipal facility this is. A very nice 18 hole layout, 9 hole executive family course and small practice range. Currently with temporary greens I just paid $9 for 9 holes (including cart!) and was the only sole on the course at sunrise. The condition of the fairways is very lush with the apparent lack of play. This was a great way to practice on the course for the less than you'd pay for a bucket of balls at Westchester. Brian in the Golf Shop & Joe the starter could not have been more pleasant and informative. I'll be back soon to try the Family Course with my daughter. read more

What happened? In the past, one was assured of good management and helpful Rangers. Not any more. Saturday it took 4hrs and 45 mins! I learned that is because they allow a Saturday morning league EVERY SATURDAY. WTH? A weekend league in season? How ridiculous. So that permit slow play with the League excuse. Then come to learn that my $65 round was $72. Yes tax is expected but not a ~$2 surcharge for credit card. Surprise! If you are paying for 2 people who is comfortable paying $140 in cash? What happened to this fun friendly course? I guess there's Park Ridge and Okeeheelee nearby. read more

First off, this place is great. Cheap prices & a well kept course. Morning times tend to be more populated as expected but if you go later in the day the course is practically to yourself. Theres nature, elevation and some fast tricky greens! read more

Another lousy experience at the Links At Boynton Golf Course! This time, they are getting a full review. Here is an honest review from someone who's fed up with the lack of good service. The course conditions are at their worst. I have been playing there for 13 years and for the last bunch of rounds, this course was in awful condition. It's season here and this is when the course should be at its BEST. We pay more money in season, and we expect better from them. We are not getting that. The fairways are burnt out and the grass is sparse. You are hitting off of thin lies all day long. Many of the shots will be off dirt with little hairs of grass on it. I just got finished with a three hour nine hole debacle. Why did it take three hours? Well, they don't find it important to have a Ranger going around the course to make sure that everything is running smoothly for the people that have paid to play their course. It was 2: 45 minutes when we finally hit the ninth Teebox. I called up the pro shop and Rick answered. I asked him if he had a Ranger that comes out to make sure things run smoothly, and he said no. I said well it's the season here and it's a weekend day and this is when it's the busiest and there should be a Ranger out here making sure things run smoothly. His answer to me was, "Well it's late and we don't have rangers here late". The fact is, we had already played 18 holes before this extra nine, and there wasn't a Ranger out there all day......on a Sunday, during season. He told me that I should've come in and let him know that it was moving slow so they could do something. Wrong answer, Rick! The Links At Boynton Golf Course is a business. (I run a successful business so I know how things should be run). It's not up to ME to leave the middle of my round to come back to the clubhouse to let YOU know that it is moving deathly slow. It's not MY responsibility to make sure that YOUR course is running smoothly and that people are having a good time, so that they will be back again. It is YOUR responsibility to make sure that we are happy, and that we will come back again. The answer he gave me was so unsatisfactory and frankly very amateur. The golf course knows better and they should've handled this properly. I am a paying client who is paying for a service. I expect the course to be in good condition and I expect things to move along at a decent pace like we all expect. This time of year, we know that nine holes will take about two hours. Three hours is absolutely atrocious and shows a lack of care from the staff at the Links At Boynton Golf Course tonight hire somebody at minimum wage to drive around in a cart all day, to make sure people are happy, shows a real lack of decency, and a real lack of concern for their paying customers. If any of you have played a three round nine hole round, you know the anguish that goes along with it. This should never happen at any golf course. The worst part is, when I called to voice my complaint after a grueling two hour 2:45 minute eight holes, Rick informed me that someone else came in to tell them how awfully slow it is out there. If you are hearing complaints from people on your golf course, do something about it so that people are happy and have a good experience!!!!! I run a successful business so I'm well aware of what it means to do things right for your clients. When I see this total lack of care in terms of how the course conditions were and have been, and the lack of hiring a Ranger to be out there to assist in making sure that golf is moving along at it's expected pace, Is a disgrace. I was so appalled that when I called to let him know how awful the 8 holes have been after we had just paid for 18, there was no concern at all. For him to tell me that I should've come in and said something to him in the middle of my round, at his golf course, is pathetic! When you go to get a snack or a drink in the clubhouse, there is an older man working behind the bar, and he's the best part of this entire set up. He's always very friendly to me and makes sure that you we are taken care of. I have played that course so many times over the past 13 years and it used to be in FAR better condition! The greens are always running fast which is a nice thing, but the tee boxes and fairways are in lousy condition. I won't complain about the sand traps, because I know many people aren't raking because of Covid. That I totally understand but the lack of care with the rest of the course is unacceptable. When we called up to get a time a day before, they were literally booked all day long till about 4 PM. That means they were making a lot of money for the day and some of this money should go into making their course more presentable and in better condition for people who want to play there. I've been golfing at the Links for a year now & go once a week with 2-3 other golfers. It's a scenic course with many water views & animals and I have enjoyed it overall. However, in the last couple of weeks they put gps trackers on all the golf carts that will beep loudly if you go near water, sandpits, the greens, etc. & will SHUT DOWN while you're driving! And you cannot move the cart except for going BACKWARDS, then it will allow you to drive again. WHAT?!? It was a terrible experience when I went with 2 others (one having Autism & sensitive to loud sounds) that the stress & incessant beeping of the carts ruined the whole experience! Imagine people who might be wearing hearing aides, not to mention disturbing the peace & quiet of nature, which is part of the reason people enjoy playing golf. Not happy, & I don't think there was one person riding a cart that was satisfied or relaxed that day. I hope this is a test run for the Links, but if they keep this new system I think they will lose a lot of paying customers, including me. read more

The staff is not so good other than Rick. Got u Rick. And the course itself is nice. The people that golf there however aren't the greatest. What typically happens is the people in front play slow and get mad when you encroach them and the people behind you call and complain until you get kicked off. Pace of play on the course is not the greatest which is why I'd recommend other courses. Yet again, Rick is the man! read more

New Greens, but they're hard as a rock! Lots of water and bunkers to make the golf challenging even from the upper tees. Price is definitely right, arrival and departure handled in a most professional way. When it's crowded there's usually only 1 person checking in golfers so I suggest you arrive a bit early not to be rushed. Small restaurant not too many selections and a tad bit pricey for this type of course. Tee times are usually available with a few days advance reservations. read more

Very good course. Thought the weather would wash our round out, and they semmed to work overnight in order for it to be playable. This place is a huge course, with lots of water, and Sand. This course is pretty challenging and I am definitely going to give this place another shot. read more

Very nice course, at a fantastic rate (about $10-12 per 9 holes). The 9hole family course has a few good greens, and a few bad ones, but, it's really inexpensive. The champion 18hole course is very nice. Never eaten there, can't comment on that. read more

Very nice public course, I've heard it's rated amongst the top public courses in South Florida. The reason I gave a 3 star rating is how I am treated while I play. The golf pros that work there treat me (age 22) like a child and talk very condescendingly to me as well. Not to name names or anything, but Dave is one golf pro in particular that stands out. He's very loud and obnoxious, and no matter how well I play the bad customer service can really ruin a great day of golf. 5 stars for the course...and 1 star for their customer service. read more

Course is ok, but the cartguys are so obnoxious, it ruins it! They force you to get your clubs wiped for about 15 seconds expecting a tip after you play! You can't drive your cart back to the car so its basically a scam, dont bother, better courses closeby. read more
