What a fun course. Huge elevation changes for a South Florida track. This is a municipal course that has been built on a redeveloped dump site. Just very unique and challenging. They recently reopened after being closed for 8 months of renovation. It's always been in good shape but I've never seen it more well manicured than this. I've got a group of friends that love it so much this is their regular Saturday spot and they couldn't be more excited they are reopened. They have a card that you can earn discounts on the more you play. Enjoy this gem. read more

This is a gimmick course. There are way too many blind shots - including the first tee. There is a Par 3 that is basically straight uphill to the point you can't see the pin at all. There are several forced carries where you can't see where the ball is supposed to land. Also, this is a former landfill - when it is wet or there is no wind - it is a bug nightmare. And anything out of bounds is gone because it's either down a steep hill, in thick bushes or in the water. And no water to drink available on a Florida course with zero shade across all 18 holes. Shame is the course and greens are usually in very good shape. Staff are friendly. read more

Park Ridge Golf Course was built in 2004 on property that was originally a landfill which closed in 1987. It is a Palm Beach County Parks course that is a fairly interesting golf course design. There aren't many golf courses in the area that have the kind of elevation changes that Park Ridge offers. There is one particular hole that the highest point is more than 85 feet. The golf course plays at 6,919 yards from the back (Black) tees, but there are plenty of tee boxes to choose from for all skill levels. We played the next tee box up from the back tees and I found that perfect for my game. There are a couple holes that are somewhat challenging and I must have been having the game of my life because I seemed to not notice the difficulty of the hole. The two holes I found interesting were 12 and 15, which a player would need to drive long enough to avoid the thick grassy areas that truly do not offer much relief. Although the course does have fairway traps, the greens are not heavily protected by sand traps. In fact, I never played a game where I did not at least fall into a sand trap at least once. This was one of those unusual times where I never was in a sand trap and somehow also avoided thick grassy areas. Yes, I had a great game and I will not note my score on this review. I will only say it is truly worth playing this golf course at least once if you are in the area. read more

Excellent customer service considering the current status of the world. Course in good shape though score card of greens need updating and the yardage was off, greens in above average condition. Cold beer with supplied coolers and ice though the cart girl should have had hot food as well. Her tips and monies made would have tripled .. I'd definitely play this course again. read more

Was recently told about this course by a customer of mine.. finally made it out yesterday and I have to say this is an AWESOME course to play in palm beach county! Some doglegs, some shots over water and a lot of elevation changes unlike most courses I've played in South Florida. Greens were in good condition and the staff was polite and quick. Pace of play was a bit slow but that was because there was a lady playing in front of us that was walking instead of using a cart.. Would definitely recommend playing for beginners like me and to anyone that's been playing for years.. challenging but a lot of fun! This is a public course gem! They have everything you would need for an outstanding golf outing. From the moment you arrive, you are treated well and the entire staff I interacted with was totally customer focused. Now to the golf. The course appears to be constructed on top of an old land fill, but don't let that dissuade you from coming. The topography helps for an interesting round of golf with hills and hidden shots not common to other public courses. The course is not difficult, but great for your golf ego if you are a bogey golfer like myself. The driving range was well marked and you hit off grass vs. mats. Overall, an excellent experience. Try it for yourself. Oh, and quite reasonably priced. read more

This is the only course in S. Florida with hills and the managers are doing a great job keeping the course up with all of the winter play. There is plenty of staff and they are very friendly and courteous. You will not find another course like this in South Florida. read more

First off the staff is extremely friendly, this course is great for the "oops " golfer, the fairways are wide open with a couple difficult doglegs that require you to pick your shots carefully, thanks people of park ridge golf I had a fantastic time. read more

Different course for Florida. Built on a Land Fill there are hills, valleys, short and long holes. Big problem is on some of the Par 5's your shooting blind even after you get off a good driver shot to the green. Be careful of players on your fairway as some of the holes are narrow and it's not hard to hit onto the fairway of an adjoining hole. All in all and interesting course and with a Frequent Players Card the price is right. read more

This is the most interesting golf course in palm beach county. Some doglegs, elevation and elevating drops. The signature 8th hole and the 11th hole par 3 are challenging. I enjoy playing here more then any other course in the area. read more

Friendly folks in the pro-shop. I routinely use the driving range. Haven't played the course. If no bag stands set up, you pull one over yourself. Surprised they don't come out and extend the range line. No biggy, but from me they lose a star for allowing people to chain smoke on the range. read more

Great course! I played there 1 week ago and it was a ton of fun. If you're used to playing in Miami or south Florida in general then this is a totally different feel. Very very hilly. Beautiful par 3 on the back. Great fairways. Greens were nice. There is no shade whatsoever so bring sunscreen. Other than that great different course! Recommend to try it at least once. read more

Not a track I would play often. Poorly managed. Scorecard does not have picture of the corse layout. Holes and directions not well marked. 2 sand containers on cart were empty. No water provided. Fairways decent, some greens were rough. I've played some of the finest private and public courses, however I have never experienced a greenskeeper as rude and unprofessional as the one we met today. This course was ok. We played in early October 2011. I am accustomed to playing in more densely wooded areas, so I think that threw me off. The course is wide open, yet somehow I was unable to find several drives that looked great when I hit them. (but that's a sign of my play, not the course necessarily). Staff was friendly and helpful. Great golf course! You do not feel like you are in Florida! There is a lot of elevation changes that remind me of some up north courses. Greens were really nice and great condition. The rest of the course was in really good condition as well. The staff was really friendly. The practice facilities have a lot of area and there is no matts. I highly recommend this course for all levels and also for all of you from up north who miss those type of courses. read more
