The Australian Wagyu filet mignon (see my pick) is top notch. Cook to order (medium) and soft and delicious. The Australian Wagyu tasting it is very good as well!! You use the "lava" stone and you cook it to your own liking. Drink- the cocktail (forgot the name) is like a show stopper! Ambiance- it is fancy and yet, very relax!! I will return :)

They have a valet system, so no worries about parking. Staff have been very professional and friendly, so 5/5 stars for that. I ordered the 8oz filet mignon, medium rare. Steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly! It came with asparagus and mashed potatoes covered in a crispy layer of batter, which all complimented the steak well. I tried their tuna tartare, which had an interesting take on what the tuna was served on. I've always been used to tuna tartare being accommodated with bread, but this was sushi rice compacted and covered in some light batter. Felt like I was eating tuna sushi. Apply some of the sauces it comes with and seriously was fantastic. I also got to try 4oz of their Japanese A5 Wagyu. Super expensive; $80 dollars for four ounces, but worth the experience. You cook the thin pieces over a hot stone and apply some of the seasonings like salt it comes with. I cooked each side for about 30 seconds, sprinkled some salt, and it melted in my mouth! I ended my meal with their carrot cake and it was moist, not overly sweet, and had a great savory taste. I really enjoyed my time here and certainly will be back again. There is a bar and at the back of the restaurant, you can see the baseball field. Restrooms were clean, but only one stall from what I've seen in the men's room. Overall 5/5 steak house experience.

Food was well seasoned and portions were good for the cost. Started off with the Visalia Onion Dip and Bravas and Brussels. Then for main meals I got the daily special which was a Blackened Pork Chop over Mashed Potatoes with a side of Crispy Brussels Sprouts. My wife had the Prime Rib which was seasoned to perfection. Our kids had the Blackened Salmon and the other had the Chicken Caprese. Everything tasted great and we had wanted to go here and finally did and will most likely be back again for a different dish or two... and sorry I only got one pic of the drink we got, oops.

We were there on a 95 degree day. When we were seated our waitress brought us a carafe of water and 2 glasses. Room temperature water and no ice. I asked for ice and she brought us a cup of ice. Not really enough for 2 people and it melted down as soon as I poured water over it. I figured that the only way I would get ice was to order a drink, so I ordered ice tea. That usually comes with ice. Right?? Well our waitress said that she had to brew me a fresh cup of tea which when you pour that over ice the ice melts away and again I had a glass of room temperature tea. I couldn't get a cold drink here to save my life. And did I mention that it was 95 degrees out? My wife ordered a Rubin sandwich, not realizing that it was a spicy sandwich. One bite and she was done. She doesn't like spicy food so I traded her for my simple bacon egg sandwich on a bagel and I had her spicy Rubin. And it was spicy! They had a mustard that must've been made with jalapeño and if you like heat, you will like this. Plenty of parking. Full bar. Clean restroom. Very average.

My wife got the black eyed peas jambalaya and two of us got catfish platters, one fried and one blackened. My wife didn't eat a lot of her meal because she said it was too spicy, but she's a spice wimp so I'm not holding that against the restaurant especially since I never tried it. My daughter's blackened catfish was very salty. Our fries were very salty but good. My catfish, fried, was excellent. I would have liked to give a 3.5 but couldn't and my fish was so good I just couldn't give a 3. I'd eat here again but only fried catfish for me. I could see myself eating here at least once a month. Bonus: after dinner take a walk along the waterfront.

There is plenty of parking. I'm not sure why it's called "at the river" bc I didn't see a river. There is inside and an outside enclosed area for seating when you enter from the parking lot. It is decorated like a casual bar and grill. My server was in training but friendly and worked alongside his trainer head server. For beverages, I ordered the oyster shooter and that Bloody Mary did not disappoint. I also had a Black Raspberry Margarita. This seems to be a thing in Augusta for Margaritas as well as this was the 2nd restaurant I went to and had this. The other place was better though. But let's talk about the food! The catfish was super tasty. They gave me fries although I didn't order them, and of course I still ate them. I had a side of baked potato salad. I should've asked why they're baked, but that was just okay. I had the TASTE OF BEAMIES- chicken & shrimp gumbo, black eyed pea jambalaya, shrimp and grits, my fav's in order were the chicken and shrimp gumbo, the shrimp and grits, then the black eyed pea jambalaya. I also ordered the 1/2 dozen Rockefeller oysters and they were amazing. The hush puppies that came with them were just okay. Overall, I enjoyed this meal.

Brunch is serious business in Augusta and after one visit to The Brunch House of Augusta I…read morecompletely understand why this place stays packed. While in town for the weekend my husband and I wanted brunch somewhere unique to Augusta instead of another chain restaurant, and after scrolling Yelp and seeing all the glowing reviews we decided to give this Black owned, family operated spot a try. I noticed online that you can make a reservation for a $20 fee that gets deducted from your check. At first I was a little surprised, but after seeing how busy this place is, it makes total sense. We decided to roll the dice without a reservation anyway. When we arrived on a Saturday morning there were already several people waiting outside. There isn't really an indoor waiting area, so the hospitable hostess took my name and phone number and kindly asked us to wait outside. Later I noticed the sign explaining the process. She quoted us a 40-minute wait, but thankfully we were seated in about half that time. Inside, the restaurant is quaint and cozy with a classic diner feel complete with counter seating and booths. The ambiance is casual and welcoming. If you have a larger party, there are a couple of outdoor tables that appear to accommodate around six people, but personally I think this spot is best enjoyed with a smaller group. Our waitress was friendly, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly despite the busy brunch crowd. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles while I went with the Garden City breakfast bowl loaded with veggies and home fries plus a salmon croquette on the side. Every single thing tasted homemade and full of flavor. This is what Southern comfort food is supposed to taste like. My husband said the chicken was seasoned well and fried perfectly, and the waffle paired with it beautifully. My breakfast bowl reminded me of the kind of breakfast my grandma used to make, comforting, flavorful, and cooked with care. Portion sizes were just right,  enough to leave satisfied without feeling miserable afterward. Prices were also very reasonable for the quality of food and service we received. Stellar customer service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. If I ever find myself back in Augusta, this will absolutely be one of my repeat stops.

Parking was its usual Broad Street challenge, yet once inside there was plenty of space and an easygoing rhythm to the dining room. The only real hiccup was the slightly counterintuitive flow of things, since you order first and then find a seat, and I wasn't the only one who walked in and paused awkwardly until someone pointed out the process. I've said for a while that you should stick to what a place is named for, because ordering chicken wings at a pizza shop or a barbecue joint has burned me more than once, but tonight I ignored that rule and it turned out to be the right call. Mrs. K took down my side of fries with enthusiasm while I focused on the wings, meaty and generously sauced, the kind you finish without a second thought and then sit back with a local beer feeling like you made exactly the right choice. Every single one was worth it, no regrets at all, a small delight tucked inside a busy Augusta evening. I did see two of those massively stacked burgers get delivered to another table and while I was a little jealous, I know that having it without the bun wouldn't have honored it the way it should be. Maybe when I'm not on keto. [Review 228 of 2026 - 928 in Georgia - 25417 overall]

It was refreshing to see a top notch staff! Their menu offered something for everyone which worked out great for us since daughter is vegetarian. The restaurant was super clean, modern, and roomy! We were delighted to find a place without a dress code to have an early dinner and there were plenty of tables and we didn't need a reservation! My favorite dish we tried was the tempura battered fried olives! Wow! These were great! Flavorful, not greasy, and just a fun take on delicious olives!!!! They came with a house made ranch dressing dip. They were out of bleu cheese which I love, and I do think the blue cheese would have been even better as an olive dip.
