Cheesy Corn

If you have seen my previous reviews you know Flaming Kitchen is a past favourite! It was my first time checking out the new location in Ajax and what a great experience I had. I did come near closing so we were rushed to place our orders right when we walked in. The servers were really great and accommodating knowing they were doing last calls for orders. I got my usual being the Ttbeoki and Cheesy Corn and I asked for both to be spicy. I think maybe coming near closing caused the food to be rush cooked and I found both to be quite watery. I know this place usually has killer food, so I think it just may have been the time I went. Would definitely recommend going earlier in the day for some good!! 8/10 recommend!

Went for grand opening and it was a pleasant surprise! Service was a tad slow but food was delicious . There are also daily specials for the grand opening. Tried the following : - popcorn chicken ( was okay .. nice as a snack .. nothing special ) - Spicy Mentiako beef udon- this was my fav . Wasn't spicy and was perfect to me - Honey garlic beef rice - tastes very homey like something my mom would make me . Only a few slices of think beef - Mango Supreme Mochi - the dessert soup was good . Ice cream was a tad freezer burnt - Lychee yogurt soda - tasted like sprite with lychee Soda . It wasn't mixed well and tasted terrible Love this new addition to Durham !! Would def drop by again for quick bite

An ordinary dining experience at Odine…read more I'm quite disappointed with the overall evening I had, from the food to the atmosphere. The restaurant is in dire need of some love and care. It's dated and old with way too much signage. The booths are covered with taped flyers denoting tons of sales and specials. If you have to slash prices in your items and advertise so aggressively your business may be doing badly. Why is there an awkwardly placed drink fridge at the front door? There's signs of damage and disrepair all across the restaurant. It's in badly need of being fixed up and renovated. The bathrooms are filthy, cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. The light switch is covered with grime. The air vent may be a fire hazard with the caked on dust. The food doesn't fair much better. It's average at best and priced too high for the lower quality of ingredients. I ordered the Maki Set which was coming apart before it got to my table. The Pad Thai tasted too sweet. The spring rolls and fresh rolls were the only two dishes I enjoyed. Savoury and delicious, and full of flavour. The only redeeming factor was the service. Friendly, knowledgeable, and fast. The servers do need a uniform though, I'm confused why one of them was wearing Adidas sweat pants. Sadly I don't think I'll be back.

We stopped by here on route home and had a good experience. The ambiance was a little outdated and…read morethe couch was worn. With that being said the food was really good. We ordered a wonton soup, salmon avocado roll, beef enoki and rice. My husband really enjoyed the wonton soup. He said the wontons were filled with shrimp and chicken and he thought they were good. I ordered the beef enoki with rice as a gluten free dish and really enjoyed it. The beef enoki had a lot of flavour and they provided me with gluten free soya sauce and ginger to go with the appetizer and it tasted scrumptious and the service was pretty good. We shared the salmon avocado roll and it was really fresh and was well priced. Would we return? Possibly if passing through the area.

Electric Piggy BBQ - Clams...delicious

I came here on a Friday night and was able to get a table without a reservation. This place gives…read morefusion lounge bar vibes. It's really cute and well decorated. The space is a bit tight and a little noisy. The food is a mix of Vietnamese tapas and classic dishes. I got the milk bread and spring rolls to start. The milk bread came with this durian butter which was interesting... the bread was nothing more than a dinner roll. I love the spring rolls and perfect starter for sharing. I had the pho and it was good. The broth is nice and well seasoned, though not as fragrant as others I have had. The fried chicken and mashed potatoes were a hit, the potatoes were so creamy. The chicken rice was average, probably wouldn't order again. The menu is extensive and so much I want to try next time. Sadly the service sucked, they were so slow in giving us menu, water, taking orders. No one checked up on us, and had to flag for the bill. I would come back once more to try their other dishes.

Came back for another visit and ordered a couple of different items from last time. In addition to…read morethe salad and crispy chicken we added a order of: Spring Rolls - love the way they come in little rolls as opposed to 2 large ones cut in half; perfectly crispy Bone Marrow Carbonara - unfortunately this was a miss. It's basically carbonara pasta with bone marrow you scrape off from the bone. Sauce wasn't very flavourful and a bit too watered down. Still a good second visit.
