We used our time share points for a weeks stay and we really enjoyed the resort. Our ocean front room and the crashing waves kept us in dream land every night when we went to sleep. They have security walking around in the evening to keep us safe while we slept but we never had any suspicion of any high crime on the island.

Love my stay in a ocean view studio room. The staff are so nice and the room and bed are clean. The beach is awesome. Two groceries in walk distance. One is 2 mins away on foot. The other is 15 mins away on foot. The bus stop is about 15 away on foot(near where the grocery store is) and the bus is only 1.5 or 2 dollars to the airport. Love to come back with friends.

After completing our stay here at the Flamingo Beach Resort, I can now say we are very happy with the room and service we received here. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming from start to finish. When you first walk into the lobby to check in, you are met with the fresh scent of coconuts in the air and smiling receptionists. The resort is spacious with a couple of private beaches and pools to lounge at. There is also a pool side bar with great happy hour specials on drinks. The views around the resort are stunning. It is so nice to wake up and literally be a few steps away from the beach. At night there is live music on the beach at the small bar/restaurant. This resort is located in a great spot near so many good restaurants, bars and a casino. One night we walked over to a restaurant called Isola that serves Italian food, and it was amazing! Some of the best food we had the island and great service to go with it. The resort offers plenty of parking if you opt for a rental car. It was so easy to get in and out throughout the day and night and find parking quickly. As for the room, I was surprised at how big it actually was compared to what I saw in some other reviews. We booked a king suite with a pull out couch. The room offers a full kitchen with stove, dishwasher, toaster, blender, and fridge. It also included dishes, silverware, pots and pans! It was fully loaded and ready for us. It was so nice to have the option to cook and prepare our own food if we opted to go to the grocery store and buy some food staples. The bed was so plush and cozy; I wish I could pack it up with me and take it home. Across from the pullout sofa couch, there was a dining table that seats four people and and an additional table out on the patio. Another cool feature was the room divider which would have allowed us to share the room with friends and still maintain privacy. I will greatly miss the walk in shower which had enough space for me dance and sing with bashing my head on the tile walls. I cannot wait to come back for my next vacation and I will definitely consider booking at the Flamingo Beach Resort again.

They do have an on-site restaurant, The Pelican Grill, that was delicious.

We went when it was spring break - young college students everywhere. The main pool on the family side was where all the activities were. The Adult side was more of a relaxing atmosphere. The food wasn't consistent especially at the Palm Beach Grill. The resort also had a popular grill spot by the pool on the Family side that served hot dogs and burgers. The other onsite restaurants were average. The best dining experience was the breakfast buffet, very organized and the staff served you. The drinks were super sweet, you have to ask the bartender not to add too much juice or soda. If you wanted a nice cocktail have your dollars ready and you can ask him to use the better quality alcohol and not the house brand. For some reason the lobby bar at most resorts prepares the best drinks - this is where I receive the best service along with the best drinks. We had an issue with our room and had to switch by the second day. I really did not like their customer service because they tried to convince us to stay in a room that wasn't up to standard. The first room had a foul odor coming up from the drainage, the shower head was broken and there were broken dresser drawers. They gave us a really hard time and tried to make it look like they were doing us a favor. We had to reach out to the corporate office after checking out. This isn't a bad resort and we would stay here again. It's located at a central location thats close to a lot of restaurants and attractions.

Room was beautiful. Viewed were amazing. The beach is nice, waves are a bit strong. Close to Simpson bay for bar hoping (they say maho village is the entertainment center but...naw, it's not). Sonesta rooms are better than Simpson bay rooms... Simpson bay has more activities and walkability at night. Thankfully it's close by. We rented from dollar rentals in the maho lobby and received free parking on site. It was so nice to have a car instead of paying drivers every time we needed to leave. Whether you're looking to party, chill, relax, sunbathe or be pampered with a personal Butler (check out the butler suite!!) sonesta is the place to lay your head and keep your group entertained at all times. Especially those who prefer to stay at the resort 24/7. For those who like to get out and about, it's close to Simpson bay and not too far from Marigot or Phillipsburg. If I came back with family, I'd stay here. If it was just me and hubby, we'd do an Airbnb.

Unfortunately, guests I arrived with, and who checked in after me, received their rooms before I did. When I went back to the front desk for updates, no one seemed to know what was going on, including housekeeping and the room coordinator. Not the best way to start a vacation. The food and drinks were hit or miss. The first-day buffet was just okay, and the drinks at the lobby bar were honestly pretty bad. However, after getting to know a few of the bartenders throughout my 5-days stay, the drinks started to get a little better. I was also supposed to receive a welcome bottle of wine and a letter from the general manager, but never got either. On the last day, I spoke with someone named Tracey during breakfast, and she was very apologetic and genuinely tried to make things right. Since it was our last day, I decided not to make a bigger issue out of it. The highlight of the trip was definitely the spa. I originally booked a 25-minute body scrub but upgraded after the jets in our rented cabana barely worked most of the time. The staff made up for it by giving us complimentary hydrotherapy and 20% off a longer service. The scalp massage alone was worth it, and the entire spa experience was amazing. Maria was fantastic! The entertainment at the resort was also a little underwhelming. Overall, I found out the resort is still fairly new (about two years old), so it seems like they're still working out some operational kinks. The stay had some frustrating moments, but there were definitely a few bright spots too.

Antigua itself is absolutely beautiful, but the resort was the biggest disappointment of our trip. From the moment we arrived, we experienced ongoing issues with restaurant reservations, inconsistent food availability, and poor customer service. We spent far too much of our vacation trying to coordinate dinner reservations instead of relaxing. As a large group, we were directed to work with Guest Services/Wedding Groups, where I worked with Nissa, Danetta, and another team member. While they were all friendly, very little was actually resolved despite multiple conversations throughout our stay. Even when reservations were secured, meals were poorly coordinated. It wasn't uncommon for some people at our table to receive their food while others waited over an hour. By the time everyone was served, some family members had already finished eating. For a resort that hosts weddings and large groups regularly, this was extremely disappointing. The resort also appeared worn and in need of maintenance in several areas, particularly around the pool. Combined with inconsistent service and lack of follow-through, it simply did not feel like a luxury resort. One of my biggest frustrations was the lack of accountability. On our last day, Nissa told me she would meet with me before our departure to discuss our experience. I waited and looked for her, but she never became available, and no one followed up. After everything we had experienced, it felt like our concerns simply didn't matter. What was most frustrating was discovering during our stay that many of these same complaints--reservation issues, poor service, maintenance concerns, and inconsistent dining--have been mentioned in reviews for months. These don't appear to be isolated incidents, which makes it even more disappointing that little seems to have changed. We still had an amazing time because Antigua is stunning and we were surrounded by family. However, we made those memories despite the resort, not because of it. If you're planning a large family vacation, reunion, or wedding here, I'd strongly encourage you to read the most recent reviews before booking. Based on our experience, the level of service simply doesn't justify the premium price.
