Enjoyed a lovely dinner at Holland House. It appears to be part of a hotel on the water. I recommend making a reservation. Service was great everyone was lovely and attentive. Scenic romantic views with ample outside seating. The restaurant serves American and French food. The rolls to start were delicious. Largest martini I've ever had. Great for date night.

For the carnival season, this is an amazing location. It included breakfast for an upgraded price. Breakfast is made to order, but it is a specific item from specific boxes. I will say I was bored and went out for breakfast aster day 5. The checking process was frustrating because they tried to overcharge us by over $1000.00. When I said it was not the right price, the lady tried to say it was not. Luckily, I was able to log into my email to confirm that they were infact over charging. There is also a mass disparity between the rooms. When we booked I noted that we needed two double beds. I even called to ensure that we would have double beds. When we got there, they had given us one bed. We had to go back dowstairsir down the one elevator that only held 4 people, 2 if you had luggage. At first, they said they didn't know if they could accommodate the request. We also told we could request a microwave, but when we got there, it was not an option. The room also lack fire alarms and a working vent system in the bathroom. The beach is really well maintained, and they ensure that hotel guest have access to beach chair on the beach before the tourist arriving on the boats. The breakfast in the dinning and bar were so nice and helpful.

This hotel is amazing. I vacationed here with my kids and girlfriend. The rooms were nice, clean, and comfortable. The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. The location of the hotel is right, I mean right on the beach on the boardwalk. There are so many attractions within walking distance. The opportunities are the pool and the fact that beach umbrellas become scarce on cruise day, so reserve early. Great food. Great atmosphere.

My wife and I enjoyed this place very much. It's extremely touristy but once you get past that it was a pleasant afternoon plenty of food drink things to see. Just nice to get off the cruise ship if you know what I mean.

Everything was just incredible from the setting to the impeccable service to the scrumptious food and very reasonable prices.. this place had it all and we are so happy we found it!

Picture it - you are walking down the boardwalk in beautiful St. Maarten. The ocean is on one side and this beautiful modern building - the Holland House Hotel is on the other side. It is super sleek with a wonderful outdoor patio and dining area. Then you see the sign - two beach chairs, an umbrella, and 4 drinks for $25USD. It sounds almost too good to be true. Did I mention this also includes use of their outdoor shower, washrooms, and internet?!? So the first time we stop by for lunch and Kecia was our bartender/waitress. She may be the most awesome person I have ever met! We had such a wonderful lunch and cocktails on their patio that we had to go back a second day to use their beach. Several beaches in St. Maarten are still struggling post hurricane, but not here! The staff was fantastic, the view was phenomenal, and the food/drinks are delicious. We had the perfect beach day followed by another great meal on the lower patio. It may seem too good to be true, but I promise - give it a try and say hello to Kecia for me!!

Friendly staff and also just good if you want to eat drink coffee and want to rent a beach chair ! The people are easy going and friendly and they helped me settle so I could book sold things. Also Katarina was very friendly making me coffee the way I wanted to such a friendly girl.

Gorgeous views on a serene morning. This review is for the beachside open air restaurant. We went for breakfast before heading to the airport on our last day in St. Maarten. The service was impeccable. The food was delicious and plated with care. Will definitely return!

My first Caribbean cruise I stumbled upon Holland House while trying to find a place that would rent a beach chair to a single cruiser as long as I was willing to share with someone else. Unlike a lot of the places they were happy to accommodate me and only charge me half of their 2 chairs rate. I remembered that, along with the great food and drinks, and when I next docked in St. Martin that was where I took my mom. Unfortunately my mom has walking issues and uses a scooter so the beach chairs were out but we did sit down on at the first level bar for some refreshments. Mom got a great dish of salmon tartar from the lunch menu and we had two mojitos. I took a dip in the ocean while she waited for her food and was able to find a little souvenir shop right outside the entry from the street. It was just like I remembered before the hurricane and I would certainly look them up as a hotel if I was to come to the island for a longer stay. I just noticed the address for this is completely wrong and I can't change it. It did show up on the map correctly when I checked in but it is most certainly not in New Jersey. They would even create custom drinks for you if you gave them a few flavors and a liquor to work with. I hadn't had that experience in YEARS! Honestly, some of the best cocktail bars in my area have some pretty basic drinks and the bartenders aren't even close to as knowledgeable as these ones here are. The decor was very cool and interesting. It had classy vibes but on a budget which is exactly the types of places I enjoy going for drinks. 4 of us hung out there and had 2 rounds each and I was floored with how reasonable the pricing was! I almost didn't want to write this review so that no one else would go and I could keep this little gem of a bar to myself! I highly recommend going and checking this place out after dinner to finish off your evening. I know I will most definitely be returning soon!

Check-in went well enough, the person who checked us in was functional. Not rude but not really pleasant either. The downstairs common area is beautiful and the room itself was quaint and cute! Everything was also clean and kept. There was a small annoyance however. In our particular room there was an air conditioner right at the ceiling above the bed which had a very bright blue light. There was no way to turn it off unless you turned the AC off, so if you're anything like me and need it to be dark, bring a mask or something. My husband even said "I feel like we're on the moon..."

Several of us embarked to hike all of the Appalachian Trail in Pennsylvania and rather than drive out from Harrisburg we decided to stay closer to the trail on a couple of our hikes. The Quality Inn was one of the least expensive options that would work for our current hiking segments. Two of us had to switch rooms: me because the air conditioner made a rattly vibrating racket and the other one because her TV didn't work and her room was missing a hair dryer. I was not impressed with my first room which was stifling when I entered. It also appeared grungy. I couldn't actually see dirt but it was an impression. I had asked the front desk for help about the air conditioner and, apparently, so had my buddy. In the end, the gal from the front desk came and looked at and listened to the air conditioner and said it was really bad and switched my room. She was unable to help my buddy with a hair dryer or the television so she also got switched. The switching was done without fuss and complaint. In fact, checking in was easy and done by two friendly staff, one of whom visited our rooms and changed us out to different rooms. The gal at checkout was also super friendly. Our beds were comfortable, there were plenty of towels, all our TVs worked. Of note was that the water pressure even on the fourth floor was powerful and refreshing. Breakfast was not what anyone was expecting: oatmeal packets, bagels with cream cheese, cold cereal, yogurt, and one waffle iron. The dining area, although austere in appearance and furnishings, was kept extremely clean by a smiling attendant who never stopped cleaning except to wait on people at the front desk. This wasn't anyone's favorite hotel but I'm hard-pressed to give it fewer than 3 stars despite the cracks in the plaster, the water-stained ceiling tiles, and the slightly shabby appearance of various parts of the hotel. If you are realistic in your expectations, you may be pleased.

We love staying at a B&B rather than a chain hotel when we can. We took advantage of the Crayola Experience package, which is offered for either of the two-room suites that accommodate up to four guests. The main room has a King. The second room (more or less a sitting area on the way to the bathroom) has a twin with a trundle that can accommodate two kids. The package can be booked for a single night and includes admission tickets for up to four people, a Crayola gift pack for each kid, and a tray of snacks. Ours included some fabulous homemade peanut butter cookies! We booked two nights (the additional night was less than the first with the package). As a family of three we basically broke even on the additional package price vs. buying our own tickets, gift, and snacks. But this is vacation and to have that all taken care of plus the fun surprise for our daughter waiting in the room made it more than worth it. Lafayette has a comfortable, family feel. The wrap-around porch was a great place to sit (and run if you're a toddler) and everyone made my daughter feel welcome. By the second day she was calling it "our new house." The breakfast menu for the next day was posted in foyer each night. We had made-to-order omelets with choice of bacon or sausage each morning with different fresh fruit and homemade baked goods each day. Yogurt, cereal, and a variety of breads were also available. There were to-go cups for coffee along with mugs. Pastries plus coffee, tea, hot chocolate, whole fruit, and sodas were available all the time in the parlor. Having a DVD player in the room allowed us to have a family movie night. We brought our own, but the front desk also had lots to borrow. Only wish we had had some popcorn!
