Great neighborhood bar. Lots of regulars, but first-timers are welcome too. The owner is a prince of a guy!

This was a recommendation from our hotel as a pet friendly spot. I went 2 days in a row…read more Day 1- Great. 2 piece fish and chips with beans and mac - cheese. The server was great , I tried to get one blackened and one fried, that was a no, he did ask. The fish was very good and the batter didn't overpower the flavor of the cod. I was also impressed with the green beans , amazing flavor combo. The mac - cheese was also better than most places with a creamy texture and smooth cheesy flavor. Day 2 - I came back for the Guinness Stew, I was alone night one with the Aussies and it was represented as a large portion. Small Brussel Sprout appetizer was a good start. Sriracha BBQ Meatballs were amazing hit. Very flavorful and I will make these at home The Brie was a miss. Not much Brie lots of sweetness, minimal chips and a price tag that made it very much not worth it. The Guinness Stew was lackluster. A small sourdough round with some stew in it. It was missing that rich Guinness flavor and thick broth I love and salt didn't fix missing layors I was excited to taste. The price made this dish a huge miss. We talked about that the rest of the night. 2 Prime Rib dinners medium rare were tender, not very well seasoned, sometimes its good to leave the meat the star, we had AuJus and Horseradish for added flavor. More mac - cheese , not very warm, but good nonetheless. Peas and carrots, were okay. The busser spilled the Aujus on my boyfriend's lap cleaning up the dishes, no one said anything, I'll get that stain out. They were out of Apple Cobbler, sad face there. They did take it off of our bill and rerun the card. The manager came out to explain the way that works, pending charges and all, that was a plus. The warm chocolate cake we also ordered was rich and moist, it had some whip cream with it, next time we would add ice cream if ordered again. Not sure I would go back here, our bill was $167 dollars plus tip ( Our waiter was solid) = $207

That said, it ended up not being a big deal at all because their cocktail list is seriously impressive. What also was impressive was their fantastic HH food menu. The kids ordered a pretzel basket & pizza, which they loved. For ourselves, we went with the Fig Pig pizza on a gluten-free crust--absolutely incredible. Everything we had was genuinely delicious. Between the food, drinks, & overall experience, this place was great. but if I could give extra stars I would, because their staff was beyond starrific. Their waitress spent time chatting with our daughter, answering her questions about the menu, her favorite things, & what she liked about being a waitress there. It was such a heartwarming experience her taking her time- even telling our daughter often, I have to check on other people so I don't ignore them, but I'll come back- displaying how to be attentive, mindful, and not just brush a kid off. Quality food drinks. Quality people. Quality place.

I'll start with the awesomeness, which was the location and outdoor eating experience in Wellen…read morePark. The wait for table just a few minutes, and waitress was very friendly and pleasant. The menu is a bit deceitful. We were there for lunch, advertised a $15 meal deal. Personal 10" Pizza, house side salad and soft drink. No substitutions or additions. Each day apparently this lunch pizza is one topping. Menu shows a pepperoni pizza. However, this changes daily the waitress said. So for us on Tuesday it was a mushroom pizza or plain cheese. I wanted the pepperoni as shown, nope! So, I ordered a pepperoni and mushrooms, side salad and soft drink. Total about $25 dollars. The salads were rather small and the pizza was decent. 1 ordered the special, said it was adequate. Then there is this ridiculous get your own beer with a 100 or so selections on tap. You pay by the oz, if you know anything about beer on tap it can produce a lot of foam when first starting. Especially, when several beers in one tap. This you pay for and one beer ended up to be $8. Not to mention it was barely chilled. Location, location is really all they got going. We felt we got the bait and switch on lunch special. I would only recommend to try for your own perspective. I write lots of good reviews, this is just meh. Been there done that, not agian for us based on the experience.

Oak & Stone - Beer taps, So self serving per oz charge. Not a fan of this idea, prefer a cold beer poured by a bartender and brought to the table.
