The price estimates given on the phone when you call, "Affordable" Septic Services are NOT the price you will probably end up paying. Like the other Yelp postings warned, the price increases occur while they are on site and at a point where it would be difficult to stop the work. They even raise the price on jobs that are done preventively where there have been NO PROBLEMS!! The person answering the phone reassured me the price our size septic tank would be the estimated price and would not be raised like other yelpers had reported. According to the job foreman-there apparently are "always issues" found, so they raise the price AFTER the holes are dug. Based on our experience, It appears you can't really get the actual price they will charge you before the work has already started and there are big holes in your yard! We have had NO PROBLEMS EVER with our septic after buying the house. NO PROBLEMS ! It has worked PERFECTLY !! We told the person on the phone this before the crew arrived and told the crew that showed up. When they dug two big holes and uncovered the two openings to the septic tank, they FOUND NO PROBLEMS!! They asked when it was last pumped and we told them we were not sure but we had not pumped it in the past 6 years, AFTER THEY DUG THE TWO BIG HOLES IN THE YARD, AND FOUND NO PROBLEMS, THEY TOLD US THEY WERE GOING TO CHARGE $175 MORE THAN THE PRICE THEY HAD ORIGINALLY TOLD US FOR THE JOB BECAUSE WE HAD NOT FOLLOWED THE NATIONAL RECOMMENDATIONS TO PUMP EVERY 5 YEARS. Again- there was NOTHING WRONG with our septic system. When they had us in a bind with the big deep holes dug and the septic system open to the air, and no pumping had been done -they told us it would be $175 more than they had originally told us the job would be.

The techs (Bobby and Kristen) walked me through the process and suggested adding "risers" to the system to make future maintenance easier. This required digging with shovels due to the tank's placement. They found both caps quickly, performed the inspection, added the "risers ", replaced the removed dirt All as planned and on time.

And this was after we declined the 8k-10k quote for the new drain field they said we needed. After having them come out twice, we called Pumpco and got the issues fixed, accurately and priced reasonably, the first time! Turned out our issue was not a loose baffle or faulty drain field. We just had a clog in a section of the drain field. Even if Pumpco had replaced the entire drain field, it would be an ACTUAL 5K and not an ESTIMATED 8-10k. Stay away from this company and save your time, money and septic.

I asked politely what all I was getting for the quote of $3900.00 the manager on site turned to me and said , " you can get somebody else to do it, that's our price". I don't think that's the answer you give a customer who is purchasing from you. I asked again explaining I just want to know what services I'm getting and parts today for your price. He said the pump replacement (effluent upgraded ) was $1200.00 and the septic tank pump out / draining was $500.00. They did the job got paid, the next week (Tuesday morning) the system alarmed again. I called to them, they came out on Wednesday day after the alarm, said they didn't have the tools they needed and would be back the next day, Thursday. Came back the next day on Thursday and said they needed an electrician and he would be coming out the following Tuesday. We are on min water usage no laundry quick showers and no dish washing. Tuesday no electrician no phone call saying there would be a change. I called the office was told they would call me back in 15 mins. No call for hours, called back sent to voicemail, called from another number answered immediately and was told in a attitudinal unprofessional tone a few excuses and the electrician would be out on Wednesday. Weds the electrician came out was here for 20 mins left to get a part and lunch. Returned 3 hours later with no part stating the pump they installed was faulty the field manger came out at that point did not say one word to us. The technician and the electrician informed us they needed to order the part and it would be 1-2 weeks. Again we were told we are not able to use the washer, take short showers do no laundry or dish washing. If it alarms again before the part comes in, they will come and pump our tank again. I went to a hotel for 1 night, another family member left (going on 6 days away from her home). The system alarmed the following Monday morning (Labor Day). I called and left a message asking for assistance. As they are advertised as 24/7. No call back. Called the following morning, 8am, 8:30am, Tuesday 9/5/23, no answer sent to vm. Called from another number, answered immediately told the problem, was told ok, "ok let me call you back." No returned call no one showed up to pump the tank. I do think an inferior part was placed and that's the reason the field manager got nasty fast when I asked for specifics. I shouldn't have to be bullied out of see itemized charges, especially with an alleged amount of $1200.00 for a Liberty Effluent pump. So they placed a inferior pump, up charged ridiculously, have us living in shambles for 3.5 weeks and still will not answer the phone, or call back as promised to help us with the problem. I called the GA number and Kim told me that she spoke to Michael and she would call me back with an update regarding the pump. I will be filing a consumer complaint and possibly a lawsuit: false advertisement, age discrimination, price gouging, and fraud.
