Although I have always loved Flanigans and have gone to almost all of their locations in Miami this last trip to the Kendall location was terrible. We walked in to leave our name and the hostess was just rude. She could not give us a wait time because we were a large group 6 people and 3 toddlers. Apparently there is only one table in the entire restaurant that can sit a large group and even then she could not estimate a time for us because "if another group of 4 that came before us was still there she would give the table to them". I completely understand sitting people in order but if there is ONLY 1 table that fits large parties shouldn't that table ONLY be for large parties. None the less, the hostess was just rude about the whole situation, her attitude was really unnecessary. I don't think I have ever been to a restaurant where they refuse to give you a wait time, but then again why would someone even bother waiting. Bottom line, the worst place in South Florida. I came from up North and i was only thinking about Flannigans. This is beyond a disgrace to customer service aywhere. The manager David should be mopping the floor at some local Jail. Ivan, the server, should never be near a customer. Its not their food. It's not their drinks. It's these two individuals who are acting as a customer repellant, making sure no one goes back to their location. In the extremely near future, retrain or replace staff(Both clowns previously mentioned). If not, the owners have to train and be ready to work in construction because their staff is going to destroy your well known business. Don't believe me? I've been coming here for years. Honestly, as long as I can remember. Today was horrendous. Came before rush hour and as we arrived we were told that there would be a 15 minute wait even though there was clearly visible tables everywhere. (This was also around the end of lunch time 3:45) felt as if they held out so that we did not receive the lunch specials... which they stop offering at 4 pm. Once seated, we were given very poor service. Several waiters and the hostess passed our table within a 20 minute span and not one of them stopped to greet us or take our order or even have the decency to say "we will be with you shortly". We found this truly unacceptable and walked out. I even sent them a message... and they replied so rudely. I will not be returning to this location. read more

The service was terrible. It took her about 20 minutes until she finally came around to take our order. She came by our table one time, 10 minutes after the food had been delivered to our table, and by the time our food got to the table it was cold. My boyfriend's chicken tasted like fish. What chicken do you know of that tastes like fish? Oh none you say, that's exactly what I thought. I could've done a better job but I applied three times and yall denied me so I guess it's definitely your loss. I also just heard that you fired a bunch of people and hired a bunch of new people. If she's part of that group then they all need to be trained again and again until they learn the proper steps of service. My grandfather with dementia could do a better job. read more

I had such a fantastic experience at Flanigan's thanks to our server, Gabriel! From the moment we sat down, he made us feel so welcomed and taken care of. He was attentive without being overbearing, had great recommendations from the menu, and made sure everything came out just right. What really stood out was how personable he was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure we had a great time. You don't always come across servers who go above and beyond, but Gabriel definitely did. Our drinks were always full, the food came out quickly, and he checked in at the perfect times. i've been to almost every single flannigans in miami; this is by far my favorite when it comes to food & service ! if you want the best server ask for carlos ! he's to the right or the bar and other seating ! the food i recommend is - Fire cracker shrimp ( delicious ! ) - Rib rolls ( if you love ribs & deep fried wontons) - ceaser salad ( all the salads are great ) - Dolphin fingers ! Worst possible customer service. My wife asked for a side of basil for her Italian meal and was refused because it wasn't part of the recipe. They put basil on other dishes and we would gladly pay an up charge but none of that mattered. The manager and the corporate office both stood behind this ridiculous policy. The corporate office replied to my email with " do not ask us to modify, substitute or alter our menu." If their recipes were that great, people wouldn't ask for changes. Also, they didn't have any problem leaving things off my meal. Wasn't that an alteration? I asked if they would alter their recipes to accommodate allergies. Their answer was the same. read more

I'm extremely disappointed by the service I received at this location. After waiting for over 40 minutes we got called for our table and waited in line to speak to the host. The response that we got from the host was " your reservation was canceled because you're 6 minutes late". We immediately asked to speak to the manager Rebekah who was extremely rude and didn't even have the least amount of hospitality skills. After we politely explained the issue her words were "you have two options, you either leave or i put you back on the list". CHECK YOUR RECEIPT Two of the three people in our group were charged for drinks we did not order or receive. Manager acted like it was our fault. Maybe he was annoyed because we caught the error. Is this a new way of making extra profit under the table??? Otherwsie food was excellent except for one baked potato. First two were not even warm never the less hot.
