Beautiful place!

A True Cuban Gem in Kendall! El Patio de Robertico is, hands down, one of the best spots for Cuban food in town! From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was vibrant and inviting -- a perfect blend of tradition and fun. The cocktails were fabulous, and after 11:00 PM, the place transformed into a full-blown party with live music and incredible artists. The energy is contagious! We ordered the King Salmon, Enchilado de Camarones, Crema de Malanga, and Churrasco -- every dish was perfectly cooked, beautifully presented, and absolutely delicious. The desserts were the cherry on top: the Crema Catalana and Torrejas de Guayaba were heavenly. And of course, the Cafecito at the end was the perfect Cuban grand finale. Special shout-out to Karla, who took amazing care of us. She was kind, knowledgeable, and gave excellent recommendations. We're already planning our next visit -- ¡nos vemos pronto, Robertico!

It's got a stage for comedy nights.

I like that the place has excellent service but the music is too loud. I ordered the arros frito and it was really good.

Super lively spot with delicious Cuban comfort food. We went for an early dinner but learned that around 11 p.m. is when the place gets poppin'. Robertico is a comedian and performs to the delight of the reservations-only crowd. We loved our main courses but the desserts were just okay. Robertico himself came by our table to say hello and made us laugh. We'll be back!

This was our first time visiting this establishment and I have to say it was a flop. The restaurant it self is huge however the overwhelming smell of fragrance when you walk in is terrible. We were a group of 10 the server seemed to have an attitude, every time we spoke she would over talk us, she didn't advise us of the 18% automatic service fee so when we split the bill amongst three groups everyone added an additional tip not knowing the 18% automatic service charge. The food was decent except for my dish the vaca frita was so dry and fried you couldn't chew it! My old fashioned came in a cracked glass and when I told the server she looked at me like I was crazy. Overall not a great experience and we will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

Great vibes and live music! Food and the service was great and the atmosphere was very lively. We had a great time.

I've been eyeing this place since I live around the corner. I was skeptical but the food is excellent and service is good. Pricey for Cuban Food and the steak was almost rare. I don't think it's a place to come to eat unless you are actually seeing a show. Again Cuban food is available everywhere here in Miami cheaper and better. The ambience is chill. Live DJ if you like the music. The bar looks nice and probably would be where I would hang out next time.

Chuletón with mixed vegetables.

Very pleasantly surprised! We came in by chance and very happy we did. The drinks were great and the service was nice. The chef is kicking butt in the kitchen! The amazing explosion of flavors in every bite is more than I expected from a Cuban restaurant. Every dish has a bit of a twist and I appreciate that. We'll be back and bring family and friends!

First entree came out in 10 minutes. 5-10 minutes later the second entree came (it was toasted bagels with their accompaniments on a tower... so like the easiest item ever). After waiting about 50 minutes total our final entree arrived... a breakfast pizza. So I guess don't go here if you intend to eat together? Or want hot food. No communication except at the 30 minute mark of waiting a random person came to tell us that the pizza was working. Our server abandoned us, so we never got a second round while waiting almost an hour for our food. She apparently was too busy taking the second table to walk in. No one apologized for the wait on food. None of what we ordered tasted good. I guess with cold food that's hard to judge though. My avocado toast had a full field of micro greens that covered up any other flavor it might have had. I'm sure the crowd of middle aged dinners appreciated the DJ though. Cuz this is Miami and that's how things are done. Slow, inconsiderate, and loud.

Zero greeting, zero eye contact. We waited almost 10 minutes just to get acknowledged while he was chatting with another customers at the other end of the bar. When he finally took our order, he barely listened. I asked for a classic Old Fashioned and he brought me something that tasted like watered-down whiskey with too much bitters and a random orange slice thrown in. My friend's whiskey sour was unbalanced -- definitely not worth the $18 price tag. I politely mentioned to recommend us another drinks options he just shrugged and said "we don't have that" Not offer another choice or an apology. The drinks were mediocre at best, but his attitude made it worse. He ignored us most of the night and acted annoyed every time we ordered. Zero professionalism. The place has a great vibe but with service like this, is not worth to spend almost $200 dollars there for few drinks. I don't remember his name but he was tall, Latin and maybe from Colombia. We just wanted to report his behavior to management but in a Saturday's night you just don't want to ruined more. Next.

Unfortunately, she di forget to bring into our appetizer. But we even forgot until after we were eating dinner so we didn't say anything (and it turns out it wasn't on the check either). We went at around 8:30 pm on a Friday night and there were only a few other tables, it they're open until 3am so we assume it is more of a late night spot. We both thought the food was incredible though. I had salmon (which was cooked to perfection) and cilantro rice. I ordered vegetables (zucchini, tomatoes, and broccolini) which were also surprisingly tasty. My husband had the mofongo. It was just different from the typical Puerto Rican mofongo in that didn't come with sauce other than some garlic sauce, but the taste was still great. He also liked the chicken that came with it. We will def be returning here in the future!

The first bar we tried didn't work out (long story) and my husband mentioned having seen an interesting bar next to Pisco y Nazca where we had been a few times. So off we went. It was around 9:00 pm, and there was only like one other couple there. My understanding is it's more of a club vibe later so that's prob why. It is all outdoors with a bar across the back. It looked nice and was decorated for Christmas. We chose to stand at the bar instead of sitting at a table which seemed to have service. We ended up ordering a cocktail each (amaretto sour and mojito). There weren't any prices on the menu (except for the specialty cocktails which they were out of). Our total for the two drinks came to $42! So I paused and asked if the tip had already been added, and the bartender sort of mumbled something about "no", so I asked if the drinks were actually $20 each. (I mean, we're in Kendall, not South Beach!) So then he showed me the receipt that showed the drinks were $16.50 each and an auto grat of 20%+ had already been added. I did not add an additional tip on top of that. But the experience was in line with some of what I read here (afterwards) of them being a little scammy financially. I'd give it 1 star but the drinks were fine and I could see the vibe being fun once more people showed up.

Since they were offering a brunch menu, I decided to order the pork tostones as an appetizer. Unfortunately, that dish was heavily seasoned, and the spices were a bit overwhelming for my taste, so I didn't enjoy it as much as I had hoped. For my entrée, I had a delicious combination of pork and sweet plantains. It reminded me of a Colombian dish called mariquitas, which made it even more enjoyable. For dessert, I ordered the Buenazo, a brownie filled with chocolate and topped with lucuma ice cream. It was absolutely delicious and the perfect way to end the meal. The service was outstanding. Our server was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. She provided excellent recommendations, several of which I ended up ordering. My own birthday was celebrated there on karaoke night, and it was one of the most amazing and unforgettable nights. Seeing an employee post something so negative about an event that so many of us genuinely enjoy is disappointing. From the outside looking in, it seems like there's been a big shift in whoever is running these events. I recently attended both karaoke night and ladies' night, and the atmosphere was completely different from what many of us have come to love. FYI, karaoke night *brings people together*. I can't think of a single time we've gone and not had a great night. That's why this post doesn't reflect what 9 Feet Under has always represented to so many of us.
