Let's talk about it. My son's birthday was coming up, and he wanted to have dinner at either Texas Roadhouse or LongHorn with the family. We got to LongHorn, and they had a two-hour wait, so we decided to take a trip to Texas Roadhouse instead. A couple of us hadn't been there before. The table was ready fairly quickly, which we thought was amazing, but that's pretty much where it ended. We were greeted by a server named Javi, or maybe even Javier. The guy was wearing a face mask in 2026, which was very weird. As soon as he opened his mouth, he really started trying to upsell us on every single thing, which was uncomfortable. There were no prices on the drinks, so we asked for the drink prices, and all the prices he told us were wrong. Everything was a lot higher than what he suggested it was. He was even able to sneak in an upsell for smothered mushrooms on my 16-year-old daughter and my 60-year-old dad's steak. It really felt like he was picking on the people he knew he could just add things onto and we wouldn't notice until the bill arrived, which was very tacky. The service itself was extremely slow. We had to wait 20 minutes to put in our order and at least 10 minutes to request refills or additional beverages. The food was subpar at best. The ribs were dry and the steak was extremely flimsy - yet tender. The baked potato was the best thing that we ate the entire night. All the kids left the majority of their food. My parents were not impressed, and the ambience itself was just low class. We won't be coming here again. There's nothing that would attract us to returning. read more

We came with a large party of 14 and called twice ahead of time to ask how the process worked and what we should do. Both times we were told to simply call an hour before arriving. When we got there, the story completely changed -- suddenly it was no, there was a very long wait, no we needed everyone present, and no we couldn't be seated together and would have to split into two tables. This lack of clarity caused a lot of unnecessary stress and frustration. We ended up waiting nearly 2.5 hours, which was especially hard with kids in the group who were very hungry. When we were finally seated, we were split into two tables with two different servers, and it honestly felt like we weren't dining together at all. The smaller table received drinks and bread much faster, while the larger table's waitress seemed annoyed and disengaged. We spoke to two managers, but unfortunately nothing was done to improve the situation. The service wasn't terrible, but it definitely felt dismissive, and overall the experience was frustrating. That said, the food itself was good. The rolls and honey butter are always delicious, the margaritas were solid, the beer was ice cold in those big frozen mugs, and the steaks were tasty -- though slightly more cooked than requested (understandable given how busy they were). I would come back again for the food, but at a different location, and I would definitely recommend going with a smaller group. Clearer communication over the phone about large parties would go a long way in preventing situations like this. read more

The only reason it wasn't 5 stars is because they told my sister that we wouldn't need a reservation as long as we called an hour beforehand, and that was NOT the case. We ended up waiting for almost 2 hours, which was kind of ridiculous. That aside - once we got in, it was wonderful. Lolita was our server and she was a gem. Truly. I would come back just for her. The food is very much middle-class fancy vibes and as long as you're ok with that, you'll have a fantastic time. The margarita was great. The onion was the perfect amount of greasy. I hadn't been to a Texas Roadhouse for decades and have a nice experience here. Most of the time you will be doing a line for a table here, it can range from a few minutes to substantial. I didn't like the idea of drinks without pricing and I'm not sure why they do that, it felt like a scam. My friend also stated that he was charged for the smothered option on his plate, they should let you know pricing before you purchase. The place is a lot of fun, service was where it should be and prices were below what I expected. Tuesday is kid's night so keep it in mind, can be louder than normal. Plenty of parking and everyone is welcome. They offer a vegetarian main plate option which is a good idea whether you want to eat steak or simply just want the combination of sides. Of all the locations, it seems that this one is the higher rated one. It was fun, I enjoyed my visit and the food was pretty good. read more

This is one of my new favorite happy hour spots. Their Sangria Margarita is my new way to say: "Hello Weekend!" . My wife loves the bread and it was certainly very hot toasty buttery and good....we sat at the bar but we got there early...and I recommend you do too! It gets packed. Their steaks are hand-cut and they pride themselves on them. They're on display as you come in. I tried the "Dallas Filet" (Filet Mignon), it was cooked just as I wanted. It's been quite a few years since I've been to Texas Roadhouse, and stepping back in brought a wave of memories . I still remember back before the COVID days when you could grab a handful of peanuts from the front barrel or toss the shells on the floor..things have definitely changed since then. Now they come pre-packaged, but they're just as fresh and tasty as ever. Of course, the bread rolls and that irresistible cinnamon butter haven't changed a bit..still as warm and heavenly as I remember. I was craving a good cut of steak, so I decided to pop in, and it did not disappoint. My girlfriend had the 6 ounce sirloin, and I went for the New  York strip. Both were cooked perfectly, tender, and juicy. Service was excellent too. Our waitress was super attentive and friendly. The only downside was the noise level and the strong A/C breeze, so you might want to bring a sweater if you tend to get cold. Honestly, for a quick dine in I don't think it gets better than Texas Roadhouse lol. Such a good spot in fact that I came back twice in one week! The bread rolls...I mean do I really have to say anything? They're absolutely delicious, soft, subtly sweet, and best of all warm!!! The first time I came I was given great service and hospitality by a blonde server, I can't remember her name unfortunately but she was absolutely amazing! I eventually returned and got a male server who was actually also blonde I think but he was the absolute opposite, not attentive at all. I usually never tip under 20% but he changed me that day unfortunately. The food is also very very flavorful and for the price, I think the portions are up to par. Both nights I went were pretty busy actually, there was a wait of over 40 minutes on both nights so the ambiance was more of a sports bar, even then I had an amazing time. Music wasn't overbearing or overstimulating, the hosts could be a little nicer though will definitely be coming back soon hopefully!! We stopped here for dinner since we were in the area. Favorites on this visit were the rattlesnake bites and the kids' meals. All 3 kids went with the Ranger Andy Steak, cooked as ordered. For our entree we chose the churrasco but this meat was nothing like a real churrasco. It didn't help that it was overcooked. The rice had a strong taste and it just felt heavy as we ate it. Then, when each of us told him what wanted, he would advise us of the possible upgrades to the dish if we were interested and then repeated our order back to each of us to confirm it was all correct. Again, I have never seen this form of thoroughness. He checked on us multiple times through our food wait time (20 mins max?), and refilled our waters/drinks without being asked too. When the food arrived, the order was perfect for everyone and delivered in order as well. Once everyone had their plate, he asked us all to cut into our steaks to see if we were satisfied with how they were cooked - they were. While we ate, he checked on us a few times (without being overbearing). Toward the end, we ordered a variety of desserts & told him we were celebrating a birthday, and asked if they could sing for us. They eventually all came around and made a fun and memorable birthday experience for my Dad. He gave us all peanuts and at the end, Javi rang up our bill- and again, all correct. Javi truly made such a difference in our day and our dining experience. I have eaten in restaurants in different countries and different states and have never experienced such remarkable service. I implore management to consider a promotion for such high-quality care. On Saturday, 5/31/25, my wife and I went to eat at the Texas Roadhouse restaurant on 9161 W. Flagler St., Miami FL. It was a busy night, but not as full as other Saturday nights. We have been at this restaurant several times before, since we like their food (steaks, burgers & chili). The previous time we came we noticed that their chili had some meat gristle, but about 75% of it was fine, so we didn't say anything. This time we ordered 2 cups of their chili and 2 of their burgers. The food took a while to get to us. When they brought the chili, they only had one clean metal spoon for my wife and offered me a plastic spoon, since they had no other clean spoons. I declined and requested a clean metal spoon when available, which was about 7 minutes later. My wife and I ordered 2 small chilies and were very disappointed as both of our servings had at least 9 pieces of gristle each. I ordered a med-well cooked burger and my wife ordered a med cooked burger, but both burgers were in the rare range. I tried to flag one of the waiters, they all seemed to be talking and looking at their phones. We were so hungry that we started to eat the burgers. When were about half done the waitress came in and we told her what happened and showed her the gristle and the raw burgers. She offered to take the burgers back, but we didn't want to wait again. We told her that the service and the food was really unacceptable, and paid the full price in cash. She was polite and apologized that we were not happy. She offered to get a manager but we declined since we had eaten most of the food. I question the quality of meat they use for the chili and the supervision in the kitchen.
