I'm picky and I don't generally trust reviews. Please note a lot of reviews you see for movers are fake--for what it's worth, I think Flash is one of the few highly-rated companies on here where it is genuinely just a solid company and the reviews are actual people who take the time to say how good they are. I shopped around extensively for movers this past week after messing my ankle up in the middle of packing--a big "panic mode" moment. Came across Flash after getting quotes from several other movers and being pretty disheartened by the professionalism/pricing of companies I'd seen so far. Flash was a dramatically different experience--the transparency and detail with which their salesperson spoke about their pricing was VERY unusual and honestly just such a breath of fresh air after the "used car salesman" approach of several other companies. Main takeaways of the business model: 1. FLAT CHARGE FOR TRAVEL to pickup and travel back to dispatch from drop off. So you pay about an hour's worth for their travel, but they don't get to "be stuck in traffic" for an extra hour on your dime. 2. Hourly rate was equivalent to the lowest hourly rates I had found out of 7 or 8 competitors. 3. VERY TRANSPARENT costs for materials, other services, etc. Knew what I was getting into ahead of time and honestly just having the sales rep take the time to walk me through why they priced things the way they did was a huge plus in terms of trustworthiness. Here's the main takeaways from the service itself: 1. Arrived exactly(!) on time to start loading the truck 2. Got to work immediately after arriving and remained consistently ahead of schedule 3. Finished faster than estimated time(!) and were very transparent about final pricing Greg and Brian absolutely worked their a**es off and loaded/unloaded our stuff in record time. They emptied a 15' truck in less than 40 minutes, and moved our entire 3bd apartment in about 4 hours. They deserve a raise! TIP YOUR MOVERS PEOPLE. These people are working hard and I was happy to put some of my savings on the trip toward helping these guys out. They more than earned it. read more

The best moving experience ever. I needed to move a 3-bedroom townhouse into another townhouse, plus patio furniture and a whole basement with washer and dryer. I got three offers and these guys were by far the most competitive. From the very first contact, Viktor the coordinator of the entire operation was super polite and friendly, and answered all of my questions promptly and professionally. He accommodated all my requests regarding the day of the week for this move. We even changed that day a couple of times because of the rainy weekends that we had lately in Boston. All the items that I needed to move were captured on-line in the link that he sent me, and we agreed on the price based on the number of movers and the time required to perform the job. Everything was extremely professional, well thought, organized and clearly presented in this on-line Estimate. We used 4 movers and a very large truck. They called from the road in that morning and arrived on time. They were very organized, polite, and fast. The guys were very friendly and easy to work with. They took good care of all my furniture items, wrapped all mattresses in plastic bags and protected the furniture and leather items with blankets and plastic foil. The entire operation was performed in the amount of time initially estimated by Viktor. Overall, it was a very good experience, so I will use Flash Moving company again when the time comes. I called a few companies before I found Flash...right from my first phone call with Phillip I felt taken care of and assured I was in great hands. He was super professional and kind, gave me a very straightforward rundown of my fees, and expectations. My quote was totally reasonable. Checked in and assured me we were good, and called to confirm the day before. Phillip was great. They also sent really useful emails with tips and pointers about preparing and handling animals. Moving day came and we got John, Vlad and Tony for my crew. I packed everything myself, but had it all ready to go. They wrapped my furniture and electronics and made sure it was all well protected. We sent the truck ahead and We hit the road and when I didn't see them along the way, I called John and they had to switch a guy out who hurt his wrist (get well soon Tony). But John assured me he'd make an adjustment for that and not to be concerned. We arrived to my new house and we unloaded in great time. At the end, John walked me through all my fees, we used less supplies than they quoted, adjusted for their unforeseen stop and gave me a discount for paying cash. I came in under my quote This crew was capable, fast, focused and amazing. They were professional, respectful and funny. A great crew to work with. This was my second move with Flash Moving company, and my goodness are they great! I worked with Viktor both times to schedule my moves, and the movers both times were incredible. I was fortunate to be moved this time by Hans and Elon. They were incredibly efficient, professional, polite, and communicative. I had an issue with receiving my parking permits for Beacon Hill and was lucky enough to snag spots across the street from my apartment. I heard not a single complaint from both gentlemen about the fact that they had to walk in between cars to get all my things onto their truck. They even helped my dad load my bed into his pickup to move elsewhere. My dad is a strong man, but definitely not fit to handle my bed alone, so I was very appreciative of Hans and Elon helping him. When we arrived at the storage facility, there was an issue with the unit I rented, but Hans and Elon took no issue with it waiting a bit extra for the facility to sort out the issue. That was great, but what really took the cake with that situation is the fact that they just kept unloading the truck anyway because they understood that more time spent by them meant more money I needed to pay. After both great experiences, I can confidently say that I won't even waste time considering another company in the future. Flash Moving are my guys and the way to go! This was my first time hiring professional movers and I'm extremely happy with the service provided by Flash. From quote to move-in day, the communication was excellent & top-tier. I moved out of a bedroom to a 1-bedroom apartment, so my quote was relatively low given I didn't have that much furniture to move, but the ledger was easy to complete & special requests were taken. I had a few items in storage, and Flash was more than accommodating adding that extra stop to the trip. On the day of, I received a call about 45 minutes before the quoted arrival window from the movers letting me know they were on their way and, when they arrived, I showed Alec & Jay (the movers) what pieces needed to be put into the truck & they took it from there. They provided their own moving materials (moving pads, straps, etc.) and informed me that the quoted amount may change depending on if they needed to use more or less. They were super professional & efficient, and all in all, it took about 2 and a half hours to move from the starting destination to my new apartment. I will definitely be using Flash in the future, and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reasonable, professional, and care-driven company. read more

Fantastic service, on time, very professional. Moving can be stressful, but Abraham and Vince were superstars. They were not only kind, patient, and friendly, but also honest and extremely professional. The sales team I was in contact with was very upfront about charges and gave me a very detailed quote, which was very helpful on knowing what to expect. They provide additional services (like packing), for a very reasonable cost. Abraham and Vince always wore masks (so important in the time of COVID), were very communicative throughout, and were happy to rearrange furniture around in the new place. They were focused, working steadily and at an impressive pace. It felt like Abraham and Vince did the work of four or more movers, they were so efficient. They wrapped, padded, and packed everything with care, I felt at ease knowing my furniture pieces and more fragile belongings were in good hands. Flash Moving Company was absolutely fantastic! The team was super efficient, very friendly, and took great care of all my furniture & belongings. Viktor was coordinating the moving team and he was super proactive with reaching out, answering my questions, and providing me with updated quotes. The process was super simple to follow and honestly was very relaxing. The two individuals who came to move my stuff were AMAZING! They took a quick inventory of everything that needed to be moved, they were in and out of my apartment in probably 3 or 4 trips. They wrapped up all my furniture really well so nothing got damaged. I really appreciated their efficiency, friendliness, and transparency during the process. They did make a few suggestions for how to reallocate the distribution of some of my boxes and I was honestly so appreciative of it because we were able to save up a lot more space than I realized. Flash Moving Company has been great from the start. They were the first to answer me back about quotes and availability (I'm talking less than an hour from original request). We went back and forth sizing the approximate lift and have had no surprises with the move that weren't previously detailed. Any potential charges were discussed before the actions were taken, which was greatly appreciated. The day of the move started out great with a heads up call on approximate arrival and we haven't looked back. Tony, Eugene, and Nick others showed up on time and went right to work emptying our apartment and successfully getting a troublesome couch out- hoisting a couch down off the second floor balcony like champs. The speed with which they were able to get the boxes and totes out and furniture wrapped and out the door made it seem like it was nothing! Everyone triple checked if we packed everything, much appreciated. The move into the new place was as seamless as could be. The guys worked with us to get things into the right rooms and were able to reassemble the furniture that was disassembled. I would hesitate to call on them again! read more

These guys are incredibly hard workers who moved us starting the minute that a blizzard warning ended (they had to drive from MA to NH to make the appointment during the end of the blizzard). They started by shoveling a path through the snow from the truck to our door in downtown Portsmouth NH! They never stopped moving fast all day. Our Portsmouth apartment was at the top of a 3-floor walkup in a narrow historic ((c) 1720) building; but even with the stairs and the snow, they didn't complain once. The wrapping of our items was well done and nothing was damaged. After the loading of the truck there was the overnight drive down to rural southern Virginia, which was also through terrible weather (we also had to drive it ourselves and couldn't imagine it in a truck). Amazingly, they were right on time, having not stopped at all on the drive down. In the end, we paid above the estimate because of several extra hours that were weather-related. However, it was entirely reasonable given the circumstances and we would not hesitate to use this company again. We were really impressed by the work ethic throughout a really tough move. read more

Moving is stressful, even if it's local. I've always moved myself with the help of friends, but this time I decided to spring for movers and it was the BEST money I've ever spent. I found Flash moving on Google and decided on them based on their professional web presence. Many tools to communicate your needs and estimate the cost. Come moving day, the strapping Victor and Casey arrived right on time ( in uniform!).  They were super professional, courteous and reassuring in the face of my anxiety about the volume of stuff I was moving. They were fast, efficient and organized, wrapping my furniture and protecting the doors with blankets. Victor was careful to communicate with me throughout the process to make sure there were no misunderstandings.  They even hoisted my large couch which wouldn't fit up the stairs to the second floor porch! Phillip and Baur were extremely professional, polite, efficient, and FAST! They moved my fiance and I from a 5th floor one bedroom with elevator to a two bedroom on the first floor in 4 hours, we had a lot of stuff like 30 boxes and we were still packing as they were moving our things. They even partially disassembled a bed, dresser, and a couple other pieces of furniture and reassemble them when we got there. They set everything up in our new place exactly how we wanted, so we didn't have to move our furniture an inch that day! They pressure wrapped our couches to fit them into the elevator. They had supplies and wrapped up all of our furniture really nicely, no scratches or damage to anything. They were gentle with boxes as well, nothing broken. In addition - very clear professional communication, quick response time, if they didn't pick up the phone when I called, they would call me back within an hour when I was calling to book and arrange everything before hand. read more

This is the second time I used Flash. When I knew I was moving I knew exactly who to call. Didn't even give it a second thought. To say these guys are incredible would be an understatement. They are literal Super Hero's!! I NEVER hire movers because most of the people I have worked with move too fast, damage furniture and I have to monitor them the whole time. Abraham, Vince and Just came to help me and my partner move a 1br apartment amount of furniture from 2 locations to a tiny street with a 3rd floor walk up in the North End. This house is nice and old, as is common in Boston, and the stairs are very narrow and steep. These guys not only wrapped EVERYTHING in blankets, (the most thorough wrapping job I have ever seen and I know how to wrap the crap out of things), they were so nice and communicative and extremely professional.
