Neil might not be the best communicator, nor does he emotionally connect with clients, but he knows what he is doing, and he is doing it for a fraction of the cost others charge. My divorce lasted 3 full years; it was a worse case scenario because of my ex's belligerence and greed, and Neill did everything, all paperwork, all court appearances, AND GOING TO TRIAL twice!!!! All for the meager $2,500 I paid him upfront. AND HE WON THE CASE!!!! Not partially, not some of it, it was a complete victory that blew everyone away! My ex paid his showgirl lawyer $200/hr and she came to trial unprepared and was shooting off the hip making a fool of herself, while Neill had everything thoughtfully prepared and printed out. No, he would not babysit you or give you emotional support. Yes, he will appear inactive and indifferent but only because HE KNOWS THE PROCESS and knows that sometimes you just have to wait it out and many a problem will self-resolve. Avoid Neill Marangi - Completely Unprepared and Unprofessional I had a highly disappointing experience with attorney Neill Marangi. Once his fees were paid up, his dedication completely disappeared. It felt like he didn't bother to read through my file or paperwork at all, choosing instead to just "wing it" in the courtroom. Despite the fact that I provided him with exhaustive, detailed information regarding my case, he seemed completely oblivious to the facts. When the court questioned him about my tax returns and financial statements, his lack of preparation was staggering. Instead of defending me, he repeatedly told the court, "assuming that my client tax return and paperwork is correct..." Not once, but saying this multiple times made it sound like my own attorney thought my documents were fake, rather than fully supporting his client. When the court pushed further for answers about my files, he had absolutely no idea how to respond because he simply hadn't done the homework. All of my paperwork was 100% accurate, yet because of his laziness and utter lack of preparation, I lost my case. Worst of all, his incompetence has now damaged my credibility for any future court hearings, leaving me marked as untruthful when I did nothing wrong.
