Not sure about the business model of this clinic. Seems they foster unnecessary protocols.

You might get what you pay for here, but chances are it's going to be very very late…read more I have been under Neil Smith's care for over a year. When I found this practice I was very excited to hear that I had an alternative to allergy shots (environmental and food). I took copious notes of what I was told and I followed them to the letter. I signed up for the 4 year program that I was told would have me allergy-free so long as I continued to avoid specific food types and not miss doses of my prescribed drops. One thing was abundantly underlined to me when I started: DO NOT MISS TREATMENTS - the treatments are to be taken 3 times per day, under the tongue. After several missed shipments and billing problems I had pretty much hit a wall. I have been the victim of too many "clerical" errors with this office and all though the people were "nice enough" and that they seemed willing to fix the problem, I kept having issues with them even being able to fulfill my autoship orders on time. I have run out of drops on numerous occasions while under Neil Smith's care. When I was first having problems, he was quick to point out that it was his assistant's fault. He even went to far as to terminate her - which he let me know was because he had been throttled by complaints by people who went into limbo, such as myself. Since hiring on new staff the problems have persisted. I have spoken to his new assistant and she was also a very pleasant woman who seemed interested in doing a good job of customer service. She called me just a little over a week ago to find out if I needed another order, to which I replied, "Yes, of course. I'm nearly out of drops...this is WHY I signed up for autoship, so I wouldn't ever run out while I'm in treatment." I requested to speak with Neil himself because even after this discussion, my allergy drops never came. It has now been over a week since I expected these drops to be here and nothing has arrived. I emailed to Neil to share with him what my concerns were going forward with his treatment, only to be called via phone and spoken to condescendingly. I never once spoke out of turn or aggressively with this office, all though I have been exceedingly clear and vocal about my level of dissatisfaction in their process of managing the "allergy solutions" their patients subscribe to. I expressed to Neil that I didn't feel confident with them because the ONLY times I have missed my dosages are due to his office's incompetence and repetitious errors. Neil Smith had the audacity to say that I am "too angry" for him to continue treating me. I was completely miffed at this. It seems that this practice is incapable of professionally coping with their client feedback. Instead of doing the constructive thing, just listening to and addressing the concern, he reacts defensively and makes accusations. By the end of the conversation, Neil said that he would like to continue treating me; to which I replied that I would need time to consider this. After reviewing my notes, email correspondence, and the hostile verbal reactions I received from Neil, I concluded that it was time to move on. I wrote a simple email to his office to inform them that I would not be moving forward with the treatment any further. I asked that if they STILL hadn't mailed out my drops that I wanted them to NOT send them because I have made other arrangements. Neil wrote me back saying that I couldn't get a refund (I have never asked him for a refund, mind you) and that they had been mailed out all ready. Well, it's now 3 days since that correspondence. I'm literally 20 minutes down the road from this office and my drops are still not here. Am I surprised?? Of course not! - This is just how they do business at Allergy Solutions. Buyer beware.

Dr. Neil Smith is by far the BEST doctor I have found for allergies. Not only does he take the time to really listen to you, he knows his stuff and will help your allergies. I have done the immunotherapy drops for over a year now and have seen a huge improvement. When I've had questions, I've been able to speak to Dr. Neil Smith directly over the phone...that never happens at most practices. He truly cares about his patients and his work.

He called to check in after the surgery and in our follow-up appointment he reinforced once again what to expect in the last week of healing. No surgery is a good time, but we couldn't be happier with Dr. Cavanaugh.

As I expected, Dr. Cavanaugh said there was nothing wrong with my Eustachian tubes and my ears were fine. I was glad to get this confirmed and have since figured out my problem on my own (which had nothing to do with my ears). Dr. Cavanaugh was personable and I'm sure he's a competent, knowledgeable doctor. I read negative comments about staff but the front desk and nurse who got me set up, were both very kind and friendly. During the exam, he said he saw a bit of ear wax, and without asking my permission, preceded to use a machine to extract the ear wax. When I received my bill, I was charged an additional $105 for this unneeded procedure. I have a high deductible so I knew none of this visit would be covered. I was not forewarned that there would be an additional fee on top of the office visit. When leaving he had me schedule a follow up even though he said there was nothing wrong with my ears. (I cancelled) My warning is: demand a break-down of ALL the charges for your visit. I wish I'd said when I entered the room that I want to know if there will be any additional charges on top of the office visit. And beware that he may want you to return for a follow up. Use your judgement on that. I have no problem paying the office visit, but I'm upset that I was nickel and dimed.

I'm happy for practices successful enough to be booked out, and I can patiently wait for a doctor…read morewhose reputation has contributed to this. I called to schedule a new patient exam and was asked what I'm interested in. After answering that question (with my concern about potential skin cancer) was I told that the doctors are not accepting new patients. I told the receptionist that it was strange to be asked what I'm interested in first, if the doctor is not accepting new patients. I asked if the answer would be different if I was interested in cosmetic services and she told me "yes". There would be a significant wait, but I could schedule for a cosmetic consult, and I could not have medical concerns addressed at such a visit. This told me everything I need to know about this practice. Skin cancer, which is potentially lethal, is not something they have time for - cosmetics pay much more.
