Puerto Rican Sweet Potato Detroit style pizza
    J J.

Great stop! I was exploring the area and found this local gem. Owner's are friendly and really take the care and time on their food and service. Detroit style sourdough pizza was fantastic. I ordered one topped with sweet potato a first for me. It was Fantastic! They also have so meat toppings you can add to any of the pizzas. I'll stop in again if in the area or I'll take a detour if I'm driving through.

My friend and I decide to come to Lewisburg because I heard it was a cool place to have lunch. The lunch decision was between a Mexican restaurant across the street or at Food and Friends, and ultimately Food and Friends won out and we stepped into this restaurant, hoping to have a nice lunch together. It was just after 1 PM when we came into the restaurant and we sat almost immediately because there was a table available at. The entire experience took about an hour or so and it was enjoyable for sure. The restaurant itself was cute and unique. The menu was cute and the prices were decent. My friend decided to pick up the tab for both of us because I was visiting and that was nice. I started the meal with the French onion soup, which was a first for me. It was a good delicious appetizer for me that was awesome. It warmed the soul and my stomach. For the main course, I had this steak and shrimp salad dish, which was good and refreshing. It was nice because it wasn't too much carbs and it was nice to have steak for lunch at least once in my trip to West Virginia. The ambiance was nice and quiet. It was definitely a nice lunch spot on a quiet Wednesday November afternoon in Lewisburg. Food and Friends is a nice restaurant in the heart of Lewisburg. Check them out if you're in the area! I would wholeheartedly recommend coming here. They have a ton of great options to choose from and the service is great and friendly. I enjoyed myself with my friend for lunch. Hopefully you will too with your party. The overall experience here at Food and Friends - Lewisburg was very nice and pleasant. It was also a great choice to have lunch. The staff here was very accommodating and friendly. It was a typical experience that made me happy that it was a good choice. The restaurant itself was clean and cozy. It felt like a small converted house, with the main floor for customers. I felt that the French onion soup was the featured dish for me and the salad was the accompaniment to a wonderful day so far. Both dishes were freshly made and served with love. It was very refreshing and satisfying. Never needed dressing too, since the steak was prepared with enough spice and all of the things. Even the shrimps were sautéed and cooked to perfection. Just wanted something light and simple without having it to be heavy on the stomach and this steak and shrimp salad that Food & Friends made was amazing and out of this world. As far as the seating arrangements, we got to sit near the entrance, which was good. There was not much air conditioning since it was fairly cool conditions at the time for mid November. Comfortable chairs and furniture make it a little homespun while you dine here. It was a nice place to dine here and definitely a nice place to be. If you are a fan of local comfort food without the price bloat, consider coming here to Food & Friends restaurant in Lewisburg. It may be off the beaten path, but once you get here, you'll be glad you did. Trust yourself and treat yourself. You'll be well rewarded! If you're lucky to be here, you might find yourself dining in a hidden gem restaurant. Definitely recommend Food & Friends. Food & Friends restaurant is a cute boutique restaurant in the heart of Lewisburg, West Virginia. It's physically located at 878 Washington Street here in Lewisburg. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far parking goes, your best bet would be to find street parking wherever you can find it and walk on over to the restaurant. The town of Lewisburg is small enough to where parking can be found anywhere that's legal to park. Ideally, having a car of your own or renting one in a larger city is helpful to get to Lewisburg. I'm not sure if the town of Lewisburg has a public transportation system for anyone and everyone to use to get around. Then there is the topic of Uber or Lyft to get you here, but the drive is long anywhere from Lewisburg, in general. With that said, your best bet would be to get here with a friend or try to get a rental on your own. It'll be quite the expense to try to Uber here from Princeton, Bluefield, or Beckley. Or even from Charleston too. The food here is good and the company was great. I enjoyed myself here for lunch on a November 2025 outing here to Lewisburg. Hope you can make it out here. The town is nice and small enough to walk around for an afternoon. Food & Friends was my favorite place to have lunch in. Hopefully it will be yours as well. They'll love to have you, I'm sure of it. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+

I guess there is no changing your mind that day. And I guess it's loyal base has lives that this works for. Whom does this place cater to? Not your average person by any means. Certainly not people actually out working. Perhaps office or bank employees around town who know on Monday what they will want for lunch on Wednesday. Not knowing this. I googled them, saw no hours, nor any explanation. We were only two minutes away, so I just drove over. Never mind that it took 15 minutes to park in downtown Lewisburg. It looked closed so I walked to the door to look for hours. Nothing but a menu taped to the window. I saw two women inside. One looked right at me, so I smiled and waved. She quite literally looked at me like she was exhausted with me already, raised her eyebrows and shook her head no. Which I interpreted as we are closed. Fair enough. So I hop back in the truck and pull up their website. Funny, looks like most of the reaturaunt sites in Lewisburg, all made by the same company. The only explanation on their website states it's pick up and delivery style. Okay, great. Have to download their menu. Okay. Finally, it looks like we will be able to order. Not so fast. After downloading, and only after downloading the menu, does it state you must order 48 hours in advance....wow. That's something your website designer should probably put on the front page of your site. Or maybe you, as the business owner, should put this on Google. Or at least hours and 48-hour advance pick-up delivery ONLY somewhere on Google. Maybe a door sign for all the average people who think this is an actual restaurant, so they don't get snooty looks when they smile at you. Some of us aren't aware of the odd way your business works. I've lived all over, and I've managed four diamond restaurants. Huge scale casino restaurants, small boutique steakhouses, fifties style diners, etc, and never seen this type of model for a restaurant, small or large. Clearly, people are fans. They seem to do well enough. But as it is nothing they offer that looks so good, unique, or special that I would order 48 hours in advance. Like many of the resturaunts downtown, they give the vibe that you are lucky to get food from them. Instead of appreciating your current AND would be customers. In addition, any negative review that is put on Google is met with the owner doing a sales pitch about their local ingredients and how popular they are among their wealthy clientele. Because that's who their clientele actually is, wealthy locals and wealthy tousits. They don't address the actual issue the customer had in their review or state they will work to remedy it. She uses it as a chance to talk about how great her restaurant is. Obviously, if someone has written a negative review about your business, there is a valid reason you may need to address. Instead of, you know, using it as a chance to self promote.
