Visiting from out of town and stopped by for lunch. Sandwich and salad were delicious and well portioned; I only finished half my sandwich before getting full! The salad was simple with greens, cherry tomatoes and dressing; just the right amount of dressing, wasn't too soggy or dry. I think it was a house balsamic, on the sweeter side rather than tangy, which I preferred. Was not busy when we first got there but picked up around 1p for lunch time. Got our food in about 10 minutes. Lots of seating both indoors and outdoors. There's also a little market with local goods that you can shop for while you're waiting. (The eggs looked especially large and fresh!) The turkey sandwich was sooo tasty and they let me add spinach to it as well. The added greens and the red onion that it comes with are fresh and give the sandwich a nice crunch. Sandwich was sauced on both sides and overall a truly enjoyable meal. After having lunch at Food & Friends, my West Virginia friend suggested Amy's Market for ice cream on our way out of Lewisburg. Can't go wrong with ice cream! I've always enjoyed ice cream anytime and anywhere. Here in Lewisburg, West Virginia, there's none like it. West Virginia ice cream does taste like ice cream made anywhere, to be honest. But having Ice Cream where you can have it is always a good thing. After roaming the town for an hour or so, we came to Amy's Market for a dessert snack before heading back to Princeton for the night. The store / restaurant felt like a small town general store that had the modern conveniences but stuck in some sort of time warp. Rustic style for sure but it was cool to see such things in the 21st century. With that said, my experience here took about 30 minutes from start to finish. We walked from the confederate cemetery to Amy's Market, which wasn't too far and passed The Barracks on the way in. After our ice cream purchases, we walked back to the confederate cemetery to retrieve the car for the drive back. It gave us time to work off the calories from lunch and the recently purchased ice cream. During our time at Amy's Market, we looked at the bakery and see how much brownies and other items that we could have bought, but we didn't. They had so much stuff in the bakery side that it made my mouth water. But we stuck to our plan and had ice cream. I asked the staff if they made their milkshakes with the ice cream and they said yes. Here's a pro tip for y'all. It can be less expensive if you did the ice cream milkshake versus 2+ scoops of ice cream. Not by much but it's an option for anyone and everyone to either drink or eat your ice cream. Just an option. The overall experience here at Amy's Market in Lewisburg, West Virginia was very cool and chill. The service here was good and there was a teenager working at the time. Might have been a local high school senior, I think. They didn't really have a seating area for patrons to sit and enjoy their purchases. My friend and I wanted to head out of Lewisburg anyway, so we just had to do a quick purchase and headed out. It was nice having ice cream here and to support local West Virginia businesses and the community while I was here as a tourist. My friend paid for lunch so I treated us to dessert, which made the stop here at Amy's Market much more meaningful. Plus, I was craving for ice cream anyway. For the most part though, the ice cream was delicious and definitely worth it. It was also very good and a game changer, especially when it's served in milkshake form. Regardless of how it is prepared and served, ice cream is ice cream. Amy's market is clean and definitely a place where you can purchase your favorite desserts and bakery items. If I'm ever in Lewisburg in the future, I'll definitely be there to try out their bakery items and sample more of their ice cream flavors. But for now, the chocolate ice cream that I had was quintessential amazing and looking forward to the next time I can be back for another round. If you're ever in the area and love your ice cream fix, consider coming to Amy's Market for your daily snack. It's worth it if you're around and can participate in daily ice cream rituals. Recommended if you're in the area or will be in the area in the future. Amy's Market is located next to The Barracks museum in Lewisburg, West Virginia. It's physically located at 990 Jefferson Street N in Lewisburg. They accept major credit cards as well as cash. As far as parking goes, there's a small parking lot that faces that building. And a larger parking area that is adjacent to it, but you'd have to go down a small lane to access it. Still, it is nice to have such a nice parking area to have for anyone and everyone to enjoy and not have to legit park elsewhere in town and have to walk far to come to the store. The parking can be a premium at peak times so best bet would be to come here early enough to avoid traffic. Lewisburg has limited public transportation options, so best bet will be to have your own car or a rent one or better yet have a brand in the area who's going to drive you to and from Lewisburg and making a stop here at Amy's Market for baked goods and the quintessential signature ice cream. There's always Uber or Lyft at your disposal, but keep in mind that they could be very very expensive, depending on where you originating from. Because it's been said that Amy's market is the best in Lewisburg, West Virginia. I tend to agree. Thanks to my local West Virginia friend for taking me here during my recent visit in November 2025. Delicious ice cream at an affordable price. They do have limited flavors though, so if you're local or time to return regularly, you can see if they change flavors regularly too or if they keep the same flavor profile day after day and month after month. I liked every bakery item we tried! Usually when on vacation, we find a popular bakery for a treat. I always buy three small items expecting one or two to be just okay. We stopped in Lewisburg to celebrate my mother n laws 92nd birthday and I wanted to get her a sweet treat to go with her present. We found Amy's Market and it was so charming!! They have a bakery, milkshakes, food and a gift shop. It was busy but the service was excellent! Everyone was so nice. If you are in Lewisburg you have to hit up Amy's Market! Superb breakfast, amazing desserts and treats. Very impressive menu, pleasantly surprised by the affordable prices. Staff was so very friendly, welcoming and helpful during our two recent visits. We came last night for ice cream and bread pudding. Ended up taking home 2 dz hot crossed buns too. Bread pudding was to die for. I have tried a number of these in restaurants and I have made it before; however, none compared to this. Came back this morning for waffles with berries and several breakfast sandwiches with homemade biscuits. Never had a better breakfast sandwich! We ate here for breakfast our first morning after moving to the area. I love the building and location with parking is great, I have noticed it can be a bit tougher other places. It has indoor and outdoor seating and a little Market inside with local goodies. We noticed a beautiful array of pastries and desserts but we were there for breakfast so decided to come back soon for cupcakes! The breakfast food is absolutely delicious here for sure. Local eggs and meat, fresh local fruit and fresh baked pastries. I had a breakfast croissant, hashbrown casserole and a tea, my husband had a breakfast sandwich and coffee and the kids had a bagel sandwich, fresh fruit cup, a yogurt with fresh fruit and granola, with a sweet tea. All the food was beyond good, honestly so fresh and rich delicious flavors. The hashbrown casserole is a new favorite for sure. The only issue was service and by that I do not mean friendliness or attitude. I can understand, given the town is just coming back from Covid and reopening. There seems to be a lot of teenagers or younger people, maybe people who have never worked in customer service yet working in the food establishments around town. Working in food service all my life has been a blessing and curse in which I notice way to much when dining out. So when we walked in we were not greeted and that is something I notice right off. But the two girls working the order area were younger so I just figured they are new to it. When it was time to order we did so and I asked if I just pick out a tea and she said yes. I did not know she had to fill the hot water for me, when they said everything will be brought to our table I presumed she meant a hot water pot. However if this is not the case (which it is not) I wonder why she did not stop me and fill it, I mean I was confused, I am new here lol and didn't realize until the food came that I had to get them to fill my hot water. The coffee was serve yourself and we realized it was empty which felt strange given the time of the morning, but they brewed fresh right away. They did not bring my sons sweet tea until I asked twice. And all this was done by a sweet woman who never even took our order, she was actually decorating an amazing looking cake, and she was super sweet about it. Personally would have the girls hand out beverages before the customer sits, after inputting order, so they know everyone has their beverage and all they need to get out is food and see if refills are needed, but that's me. Like I said, I think just young, new employees. We will be back for sure and I am sure it will all be great. read more

Omg. Their cupcakes are to die for! We just discovered Amy's this week and came back two days in a row just for their bakery items. The detail and care put into each item is incredible. Amy is a gem. I was trying to find a place that made gluten free and dairy free cupcakes for a friends birthday. I called around town and after being told no from multiple places, I called Amy's as a last hope expecting a no but not only did she say yes, but she was extremely accommodating. I went into the store to put in the order and she was so friendly and willing to work with me to create a variety of cupcakes that fit the dietary restrictions I stated. She even threw in her own ideas to jazz up the cupcakes and add to the presentation. I was extremely pleased with how flexible she was and how many options were provided. I'm not quite sure that I ate at the same place everyone else that left reviews had. I ordered a tuna salad sandwich with chips. The bread was a poor choice selection and was stale. They had melted some cheese, of which I had never seen done, on that kind of sandwich. I feel like certain ingredients like milk products, nut products and other highly allergic ingredients should be posted on the ingredient list of the menu first. If I had known there would be cheese on the sandwich, that no one ever puts cheese on, I wouldn't have ordered it. The atmosphere seemed busy, cluttered and unorganized. I really want to cheer for local, family owned businesses but unfortunately I can not for this one. One of the employees had their baby there and another employee was decorating a cake near the customer seating area. I don't feel like the health department would be happy with this establishment especially now with covid. Maybe it was just a bad day for everyone, it is close to Christmas. Nice little cake and cupcake bakery. It's my wife's birthday tomorrow and I couldn't find a bakery open after two o'clock but this shop was ope and really helped me out literally an hour before they closed and it made me so happy. Despite closing in an hour she listened to my order and without our hesitation she said I'm on it. Thank you so much for everything.
