I can't believe how much better I feel! I feel transformed. I will definitely be a regular here! My friend gave me a gift card to come here and I'm so happy she found this place. Beautiful spa!! The vibes are so good. They offer a variety of treatments and have different rooms. (I look forward to coming back to get my nails done.) The lobby is very nice with lots of beverage options and a pristine bathroom. Brooklyn's massage room had everything: relaxing music, aromatherapy, warm lighting, heating pad on the massage table. Brooklyn is so kind and attentive. Since I was a new client, we had a lovely talk before the treatment started to discuss my body issues and get a plan. She really got all the knots out of my body. I really appreciated how we started and ended the session with 3 deep breaths and breathing in essential oils. I believe it was eucalyptus oil. So nice! I have been looking for a massage therapist and now I found her. I will definitely be a regular of Brooklyn's. I highly recommend coming here.

Tom did a…read morewonderful job shaping my nails; hich is oftentimes an issue for me as nany nail texts are rushing and don't take the time to achieve great shape. He was gentle and careful while buffing-- no scrapes or nicks. I was in and out of the salon in 30 minutes. Price point is comparable to other Detroit area shops. There is plenty of parking in the shared lot.

I had an incredibly disappointing experience at Custom Nails recently, and I feel compelled to…read moreshare the details in order to help others make informed decisions before spending their hard-earned money at this establishment. My appointment was with a nail technician named David (#10), and unfortunately, it was a service I will never repeat. From the outset, David seemed rushed. Instead of providing a relaxing, attentive experience, he sped through the service, making me feel like I was just another task to check off his list. It became even more frustrating when I requested a specific nail design and David gave me one price, only to try and increase the price once he started working on it--because he kept messing up the design. I understand that mistakes happen, but this felt like a clear attempt to overcharge me for his errors. Adding to my frustration, I had to repeatedly remind David of the steps to complete the design, as he wasn't paying attention. It was evident that he was more interested in texting on his phone than focusing on the service I was paying for. This lack of professionalism and care was not only disappointing but also disrespectful. What made matters worse was David's behavior toward me while he was working. He spoke negatively about me in Vietnamese, assuming that I couldn't understand. Unfortunately for him, I've had a working knowledge of Vietnamese for over 15 years. I chose not to confront him in the moment because I was trying to remain calm and professional, despite his clearly rude and condescending remarks. His attempt to talk behind my back only reflects poorly on his character and the values of the salon. As if this wasn't enough, when the service was finished, David said, "Next time you come here, ask for someone else, not me." I responded with a simple "okie dokie," paid over $120 for the service, and walked out. I knew right then and there that this would be the last time I ever spent my money at this salon. As a polyglot who speaks five languages, I understand the appropriate time and place to use another language. Speaking negatively about a customer, especially when you assume they don't understand, is both rude and disrespectful. This kind of behavior is not acceptable, especially in a diverse community like Detroit, which has an almost 80% Black population. When you're serving a community, you need to show respect, and David's actions showed none of that. I felt it was important to share my experience with the wider community. It's crucial to support businesses that value and respect their customers. I will never return to Custom Nails, and I strongly encourage others to consider their choices as well. Don't spend your money where you're not respected. There are plenty of other places that will treat you with the care and professionalism you deserve. "Tôn trọng khách hàng của bạn" (Respect your customers). I provided 2 stars because, despite the horrible service, I was satisfied with the end result of my nails. I've attached the wish pic and the final product.

I did not want to write a bad review, but the treatment I have received left me no choice: Hello, why did you let me leave unhappy when you promised me that you would not do so. I have never been to a spa that did not make any adjustments ever. This is why customers are always given a two week return appointment. You chose to do filler and botox on my lower face. I never asked for it. Then you just let me walk out of your establishment unhappy, this is so very wrong. I gave you almost $2,500, and you just basically let me leave unhappy. I told you the other day I wanted to cry because my friend asked me what was wrong with my face. I can't believe this has happened, with tears rolling down my face I would like to make a complaint about my experience there to the owner, please. I chose this spa, it was near my home and they had a same day availability for me as I was attending a party later that evening and I sincerely wanted some filler and botex. When I arrived I stated I wanted filler in my cheeks and botox in my forehead, 11 lines, and crow's feet. I wanted filler in my cheeks. It was suggested that I should get both in my chin, and the lower sides of my face, I shared I had never had any injections on the lower of my face. I did want botox under my chin for my turkey neck but was told it would not help. I also wanted some injections in my lips but was told they would be bruised and possibly be noticeable at the party I was to attend, so it was suggested to get a lip flip. I never heard of it but I was good with that. In the end my bill was close to $2,500. I had no intention of spending this kind of money, but if it was going to make me look beautiful it would be worth it. I wasn't 100% pleased, but I was hoping that in a few days I would receive more satisfaction in my face. I was told to return in a couple of weeks for the final consultation to see if any adjustments were needed, she did not tell me this but I have been getting injections for over10 years and this is the procedure for every spa I've gone to. A few days ago, I called to complain about wrinkles on both sides of my mouth. I was told to send pictures, and was told it was because of the lip flip to give it more days. A couple of days later I received a call to come in. I went to the appointment this evening, and for over 30 minutes I was told over and over and shown a chart over and over of how little filler I actually received and that I needed more but she was trying to save me money. She acknowledged the wrinkles but said nothing can be done and the botox had to run its course,, in about 4 - 6 weeks. I said I had rather purchased more filler than had the suggested filler and botox placed in my chin. She explained that she did not want to give me more filler in my cheeks because I would have too much swelling, and needed to wait until later. I again said I didn't ask for the lower injections, that I was not the expert, I was just going with what was suggested to me. I knew by now that I was not going to get any adjustments unless I paid more, why should I do this when I was not happy with the outcome of the money I had already spent. She finally said I could put some more botox in the jawline but your neck is going to seem like its pulling. I said we have to do something, she then said it was no guarantee that it would help. No matter what she was not going to make any free adjustments, especially when it came to the filler. I just wanted her to really care. She promised me on the phone that she would not leave me hanging, that she wanted me to be happy, but in the end she didn't care. I am extremely upset. This is bad business. I can't get this terrible treatment out of my mind. To be honest, the reason why it hurts so incredibly badly is because my aunt just passed and left me money and this is what I wanted to do with some on it. I feel so very badly
