Bright big store, Impressive at first, but after visiting on several occasions, I'm seeing some cracks in their appearance. Their hunting dept. employees could use some training in customer service. They didn't treat me horrible, just kind of talked down to me. I pointed out some of their pricing as to some other local stores and guy kind of chuckled and said well, we're just not going to price match. I said ok, no problem. A more recent visit to this dept. I mistakenly was thinking of a local competitors ad when asking a question of their stock, and I apologized for my mistake and taking up his time. Which he was more than condescending tone with his reply, that's OOOK, I get questions like that all the time, you didn't waste my time at all. I'm 68, I like a good deal , quality and I look for value and just a little courtesy. I don't need to be treated special, I just don't need talked down to, or dude splainined to. I know these two particular gentlemen won't care, but I did make three pretty substantial purchases, just not from Fleet Farm. Big mistake Huge! read more

**Car Wash Warning** I would not recommend using the car wash here. My Tesla got scratched after using the car wash here for the first time. I submitted a claim to Corporate and was met with a Corporate Karen who told me, "I just can't reasonably foresee paying out your claim." Her reasoning was that if something was caught in the brushes, it would've left a very distinct scratch on my car. Apparently, she's an expert in every single way a car can be scratched by every unknown item that can possibly ever get caught in car wash brushes. My paint was perfect before going in, and now I have this mark on my Tesla thanks to this. The best thing about having a Tesla is that it video records in sentry mode, so when one of the employees was inspecting my car he said, "ya, this scratch definitely looks like it's from something caught in the brush because of the way the paint is laid back on it where it's scratched. I sure hope corporate pays this claim for you, they definitely should!" Well, unfortunately, the lady from Corporate just got an attitude with me and decided not to do anything about the damage caused. Stay away from here at all costs. read more

The Fleet Farm Gas Mart is located as a separate facility and business and is in front of the main store. One bonus is that my Fleet Farm purchase included a 4 cents/gallon discount at the station. One could argue that in times of high gas prices that 4 cents is trivial, but sometimes every cent counts. Since my Dad and Grandfather once ran a gas station, I still notice design features, cleanliness (both at the pumps and bathrooms), inside mini-mart selection and service, and of course price. This station checked all the boxes and was a fine fill-up (and pit stop) experience. read more

I went to Fleet Farm with my boyfriend to look around. I liked the layout of the store and all of their interesting products they had for sale. We ended up walking around the entire store. I ended up buying some pots for plants and my boyfriend bought a pair of Milwaukee jeans for work. Overall, pretty good experience!! Will return for sure!! read more

I went to fleet farm to get pet food. I found a clearance end cap and picked a bag of cat food. There was no clearance sticker on the bag but there were 4 or 5 of the same kind on the clearance shelf. And there was also a $3 off coupon on the bag. when I get to the register the food rang up full price and cashier said the coupon was expired and I couldn't use it. So I said I wanted the clearance price because it was on the clearance end cap. she called a lady to come and check the price and this lady kept saying, "yes, on the clearance end cap." because she knew that's where I got it. 15 minutes go by and we haven't heard back from the lady. I asked the cashier why they can't just let me use the coupon instead of making customers wait 15 minutes. she said, "it's expired." finally the lady calls up front to let us know that the bag of cat food is full price. I was not happy. This store placed those bags on the clearance shelf with no clearance sticker and without removing the $3 coupon. It is their mistake! I walked away without making a purchase. I will happily give my money to Theisens who would never have allowed that kind of treatment to a customer! read more

I came in looking for one item: weatherproof mobile tool storage. I've been to other stores and some stores have had some items or, acceptable. Not only did FF have EXACTLY what I was looking for but, I had a selection!!! As I browsed, I decided to fulfill an item off my bucket list: fish in Iowa streams and rivers. I stepped up to buy a fishing license and I left with a license and a friend in ur wonderful associate, Shantel (?)! She had a tool belt and unselfishly answered all of my questions with a smile! Wow. This store is absurdly massive and delightfully new. Don't be deterred by the name 'Fleet Farm.' You can find something for literally anyone here. The store still has that brand new store smell; making the trip that much more enjoyable. I'd never heard of Fleet Farm until now, but maybe that's because they're Wisconsin based and don't have the market saturated like a Menard's or Theissen's (according to Wikipedia Fleet Farm has 42 stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, and the Dakota's). Also from Wikipedia: "The stores range in size from small hardware store formats to larger stores. They sell hunting and fishing equipment and licenses, small appliances, housewares, automotive goods, apparel, hardware, lawn and garden supplies, paint, pet supplies, sporting goods, tools, and farm supplies. Most locations also have a tire center, convenience store, and car wash." Yes, the Cedar Rapids location has ALL of this. A hunter, fisher(wo)man, outdoorsy person, ornithophile, mechanic, house flipper's, etc. jackpot. We could have spent much longer in here than we actually did, but we really just wanted to pop in to see what all the hype was about. They're still so new that some of the shelves were empty, particularly in the seasonal department. Who knew that Fleet Farm was the first to coin the term 'Toyland' ?!? They have a great selection of toys that includes reputable brands like Schleich and Melissa & Doug. Their annual Toyland sale is also happening this weekend, Oct. 12 & 13, 2019. Brave the massive crowds if you dare. Very competitive prices from what I could tell. They even price match, according to their website. So many employees were working that you could have had the assistance of 3 people if you wanted. Not at all a bad thing. Fleet Farm isn't close to where I live, but I could see myself returning here a couple of times a year. Highly recommend. read more

Due to covid, you can't get into the bank to get a new card due to the swipe bar being damaged, I went to spend a decent amount of money, 40 minutes in the store buying multiple major items - and went to check out and she told me she couldn't manually enter my card number, after 3 times inserting the chip, and then trying to swipe it. I've used to here before and has worked, wanted to try it again or have her type it in. The customer service cash register lady then told me 'welp we can't complete the transaction and nothing more she can do for me'. I think this is poor customer service, nor have I ever been asked if I needed help finding something, or help lifting something. read more

What a joke! After waiting 20 minutes to check out, we overheard the cashier asking each customer if they'd like to sign up for rewards ....this requires the customer to e get their email & phone number which significantly slows everything down. Meanwhile an employee working the customer service desk who had no customers decided to open up an additional Check out but it was by far too late for us . We walked out and left our basket . This is not about worker shortage - this is straight up poor customer service as well as no common sense or appreciation for the paying customers. read more

there is an older woman there that is back at customer service. she should not be working with the public. I was getting my oil changed there today and shopping. my husband loves Carhartt brand clothes. as I went to that section, I seen quite a few signs saying "spend 100.00 in Carhartt merchandise, get a 20.00 gift card." these signs were all over that section! I got to the check out and the young man called her to the register to do the gift card. she says, and sighs loudly, "that was over this weekend" I told her there were still signs all over and she said she will need to get that fixed. needless to say, she did not even apoligize. and I did not buy all the items I spent time picking out. most stores, if there are still signs all over, will give you the sale! read more

They need to strive for accurate inventory and post as-close-to-real-time on the website, and deduct online orders when placed. Several times I ordered a bulk of items for pickup in yard, and been shorted as they did not have stock. The last time I had ordered over $60; for an hour's drive there I ended up with ONE item, and it was only $7. Clearly they need to up their inventory game. BTW - I was just sent another ad of theirs (get at least two weekly) and they are giving away a rifle with optics rail. I will not enter because of one gimmick - the rifle will need a scope to function, which they SELL in their stores. What kind of giveaway is that? read more

Fleet Farm Cedar Rapids is great. Fair pricing and excellent service at the auto center with August and Randall...everywhere. But in particular I'd like to commend Dorothy and Tashay in customer service. Those two went... soared above and beyond what was necessary in remedying my small situation. They certainly could use some sort of commendation from store management, and indeed corporate management as well. Their courtesy and friendliness was a joy. I have gone to this store twice prepared to spend $500 or more. The first time last spring the guy driving the fork lift to help me buy galvanized tanks was so rude I finally said forget it. Today , Monday 16th of November in their tire department the young man was so uninterested in helping me buy tires I also finally said "never mind". I have to wonder how they are training and hiring? I don't have a problem with the inside of the store. The back where you go to pick up larger items is a mess. Both times I've gone back there has been a long wait. However, when trying to get a bookcase this past trip, I sat in my car for forty minutes waiting for them to find it. When I asked how much longer after someone finally came to tell me it was missing, all I got was "It's going to be awhile" and when I asked to confirm they even had the item in stock the person replied "I don't know." It was a complete waste of time and after leaving my phone number to call once they found it, surprise, no one called. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

Our first visit to the new Fleet Farm in Cedar Rapids can best be described as Underwhelming. first off, I don't know if FF had any input into the entrance to the store, but it was much harder than it should be. I had not been to that side of town for some time and was very disappointed to see the intersection that used to be there, completely redone and I wasn't able to turn into the store where I expected. we went on a Saturday right around noon. I would call it somewhat busy, parking lot was about 1/3 full. Cars were driving erratically in the parking lot, cutting across parking spaces and down the wrong side of the parking lanes. Got into the store and was not impressed by the entrance, carts were taking up a lot of room and there were a lot of "deals" at the entrance that people were stopping to look at and blocking others from getting into the store. Once we got a cart and made it in, we found out quickly that there is just enough room for tow standard carts to pass in the narrow isles. A two child cart and a standard cart would not fit in the one isle we were in, not sure if all isles are like this or not, but it was crowded. The do have a wide variant of items, but they seem to have a few options on a lot of items. I would describe it as a combination Tysons and Menards. I actually saw that they have lumber, just not a wide selection. Some of the pieces of wood we saw were so warped, they would have made a good rocking chair rockers. The whole time we were shopping an announcement for more cashiers was made multiple times. When we got up to check out, we waited in line for about 10 minutes, then ended up going to a different lane. The cashier was not rude, but I would not describe them as friendly either. Over all this new store is on the other side of town for us, difficult to get in and out of, felt crowded and while it had a wide variety of items, the item selection was limited. If there are specials or sale items, I can see returning, but for us there are better options. read more
