I recently got into running a bit more seriously and have been in the market for a new pair of running shoes. I have been struggling with a few foot pains, so I wanted to make sure the money I was dropping was going to be well worth it, so after a bit of research, Fleet Feet was the place I ended up. This Fleet Feet location sits inside of The Streets of Indian Lake in Hendersonville and is a well stocked, clean and welcoming spot for all your running needs and wants. This was my first visit to a Fleet Feet, and after sharing what I was after, Logan, who was the Specialist who assisted me, walked me through their process, which started with a full foot scan. Based on this scan, the system recommends different shoes and wildly enough, the shoes it recommended were the ones I had been scoping online based on my foot issues. Logan pulled a few pair of shoes, let me try them on, walk around, even go outside. He also educated me on the feel of each, plus pulled a few options of insoles that would best support my feet. The process was comprehensive and factual without being overwhelming, pushy or timely. I ended up walking out with a new pair of Asics and nice insoles, running me around $250 out the door. Expensive in general, yup...but these prices are standard and I feel the value was a bit more there considering the process. Overall, I will certainly be back to this location. I walked into this location and felt overlooked. I ended up having to speak to the two younger gentleman at the front desk and even when I spoke first they looked at me and still didnt speak back. That almost make me turn around but then a lady offered to help me named Cathy. She was phenomenal!! She helped me for almost an hour. I bought shoes and was satisfied! Throughout her helping me, they wondered around fondling with the female mannequins inappropriately and didn't go to help the next lady that walked in either until someone asked her if she had been helped. The looks from them and some of the other workers made me uncomfortable and I wanted to leave but that's okay. I saw a lot of good reviews on this location before I arrived but idk. Next time, I'll call ahead to see if Cathy will be working.... but if not I'll drive to another location. 5 stars for Cathy! read more

I was told to check this out after being told I have plantar fasciitis. It was cool how they scan your feet and provide you with information on size, width etc of shoe. That part is completely free, but the shoes themselves seem rather expensive. I found the exact same shoe online for $58 whereas he was trying to sell me one for $150. Beyond price, the whole experience was nice though, and I'll definitely recommend others to try it out. read more

Walked in there to buy some shoes and was waiting for an employee to get me a pair that I wanted but they all just ignored me. 5 minutes later I walked up to ask for an employee and the guy was short with me the entire time. Wanted to score on some shoes on tax-free weekend but ironically they didn't have a wide selection whatsoever. How are you going to run a shoe store if you only have 3 pairs of on clouds? I don't wear an abnormal size either but the past 3 times I've been they seem to barely have any shoes. They also jack up the price of clothing too lol. read more

I had such a wonderful experience here. I needed to switch from my go-to shoe after having some consistent issues with my right foot that were severely impacting my training goals. I came in on Wednesday at about 6:25 pm (they close at 7) expecting to ask a staff member a few questions and then take a chance on one of a few shoes I had identified before coming in. Instead, Jay listened intently to my described problems and expectations, scanned my feet, and pulled three shoes that all addressed my specific needs. He was so professional and never made me feel rushed so close to closing time. Jay handed me off to Kat to help me try on each shoe, and I was so impressed with her helpful attitude and patience. She encouraged me to try each shoe multiple times and really helped me narrow down exactly what I liked about each one. The best part of my experience here was that Kat's friendliness and excitement gave me a lot of hope that my training wasn't totally screwed by the setbacks I'd had. I walked out with a great pair of shoes. I've done 3 runs since buying them and was thrilled to find that I had NO FOOT PAIN on my long run yesterday! So I got to say I was pretty disappointed. I called the day before and asked if they sold shoes because the website is not clear if they actually have anything in stock. The lady was super nice and told me to come on in and they have this 3D machine and they will discuss any running pain and get me hooked up. Awesome I thought. I go in the next day and look around for a few minutes and this 18-19 year old kid comes up and ask if I needed help. I said yes I wanted to try on the Brooks. He asked me my size, i guessed and He goes and gets them, comes back with a black color. They fit ok, he squeezed my toe and said that's a good fit. I thought it was more technical than that but ok. Meanwhile other customers are out running and trying different walking techniques to see how theirs fit. O well i thought. So I ask for the color on the display- we don't have that color. Then why is on the display - I dunno. Ok cool. He then says you can order them online. Um - ok so this fantastic experience of come in and get a 3D image etc etc turned to "order them online". So head home and look at my other brooks running shoes that I am replacing...size 14...so I could have bought the wrong size because the old toe squeeze method works... Got on the Brooks website, found my color, my size 15% off and free running shirt...I'm sure everyone has their own experience but that was mine. read more

If you are looking for a pair of sneakers I highly recommend Fleet Feet. The experience is amazing. I work at a job where I stand on my feet all day and needed a replacement pair of sneakers. They took a 3-D image of my feet, providing the appropriate size, width and arch and then brought out different options and brands for me to try. I came in today on the recommendation of my podiatrist. Lydia was extremely helpful. She scanned my feet to get an exact measurement. She explained what the scan showed, then she brought out some shoes based my scan and what ther doctor had recommended for me. I now have the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I'm going take my husband back to be fitted for shoes as well. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything. read more

Had an excellent experience at Fleet Feet Indian Lakes this morning before the chaos of Tax Free weekend ensued. Alex helped me find some great running shoes and analyzed my foot structure like nobody ever has before!!! Who knew I had medium to high arches and a potential neuroma! No pressure to buy a more expensive shoe (I actually chose the less expensive due to comfort) and it was a totally pleasant experience.
