Maximum Customer Service at Fleet Feet of Tallahassee! March 8, 2026. Review. I enthusiastically give my experience at Tallahassee's Fleet Feet today 5 Stars. Max -- a manager -- offered the kind of exemplary customer service that is comparable to Tallahassee's former iconic athletic shoe store, Shaw's. I have been a serious fitness walker for over 30 years and need to replace my shoes about every year. I usually wear Nikes, yet have been finding it increasingly challenging to find shoes that work well. The ideal by which I measure all athletic shoes is my old discontinued Nike Turbo Max Zoom from about seven years ago. Nike unfortunately discontinued that shoe. Since then, after I have found shoes that work, Nike changes the model after about a year. This year, after visiting numerous stores, shopping online, and returning a number of shoes, I had found nothing that worked well until today. At Fleet Feet, Max used 3-D imaging to measure my feet and analyze my gait. Then he analyzed that data to narrow down and choose an offer options. He also carefully listened, took my feedback seriously, and patiently and diligently used his expertise and impressive experience with products to find a shoe that worked for my feet and that I would actually enjoy wearing. After over an hour of trying on and testing about a half dozen pairs, I surprisingly settled on Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25. In addition, Max helped me find the shoe in a snazzy plum raisin design that is similar to my trusty Turbo Zooms. Thank you to Max and Fleet Feet of Tallahassee. My favorite run store in Htown is Fleet Feet on San Felipe so had to check this one out while on vacay. It was definitely a smaller version and the customer service was equally good.They had several people working and each one asked if they could assist us even though they were busy that day. Saw a good selection of Hokas and Asics.Couldn't find my fave DS trainers but was still worth a look. They also had a small selection of Garmin watches and sunnies for outdoor training. read more

I went in got my feet scanned to figure out all sort of information like "heel to toe lenght", ball width, arch height, instep height, heel width, ball girth, instep girth etc. I was amazed to find out that I am 1 and a half sizes above my usual shoe size. I was brought out three styles of shoes and went with a new kind that I had never tried or known about. It is no wonder to me now why I should leave my feet to experts. read more

My all-time favorite place in town to buy sneakers, run-wear and accessories. I was immediately greeted, given the attention that I needed for a beginner runner. Also, the guys here helped by giving recommendations to increase my skills and distance. I took a run test to see which shoe would best suit my running style. I was given the opportunity to try various sneakers on. My size in a recommended sneaker wasn't available at this location; but the guys called the sister-store to have the sneakers sent to the store the next day. The quality of service is GREAT! I spent two hours here the other night getting analyzed for new running shoes. Justin was awesome! He used a slow motion camera to record our run then showed us frame by frame our running style. He then took his time to help us try on difference shoes, make sure they fit correctly, and allowed us to run outside some to see how they felt on other running surfaces. I found a pair of shoes that would help with the way I run by providing support where needed. They also price match so I was able to pay a discounted price for a new pair of Nike Lunarglide 8. I used them last night to run at Cascades Park and the difference from a run earlier this week was literally night and day. I am visiting Tallahassee from South Florida to run the Boston, GA half marathon. I stopped in capital city runners to get some endurance stuff for the Saturday race. I stood around for 5-7 minutes without anybody aknowledging that I had entered the store. I ended up quickly asking one of the associates a quick question about what I was looking for. I understand that they were busy with other customers, but a quick "we will be right with you" statement would have been great. They didn't have the Hammer products I needed, but she was kind enough to recommend me to 2 different stores who did have the products that I needed. read more

I went in yesterday looking for a new running shoe for distance training. All of the staff were helpful, knowledgeable and made me feel like I'd known them for years. Justin, in particular, helped me find the right shoe in a sea of selection. He spent the better part of an hour and a half analyzing my gait on their red carpet camera, showing me different styles and adjusting to my feedback. A great running store is so great for a community. Capital City Runners is a great running store! The staff are very knowledgeable and will make a recommendation not based on most expensive shoe - but really what is best for you as an individual. My daughter started cross country and was getting lots of blisters with the shoes we had. We took her to Capital City and they spent a lot of time getting her in perfect shoes.
