I have been going to Bodyworks Pilates for several years and they have helped me build my core stability and general flexibility. This summer I had a knee replacement and due to the staff's knowledge, individualization, and caring I was able to start back at Pilates only 6 weeks after the surgery. Alan has been particularly good at helping me restore my ability to move and at helping me find work arounds for movements I will not be able to do again. All the staff have also been great cheerleaders for me through this, even if I'm not working with them. read more

This studio is immaculate! Being a beginner I wasn't sure how to really get started with Pilates and how to pick a studio. What got me to finally go is a friend who is in the process of getting her teaching certification and I get to be one of her students. It's the perfect scenario- I get two sessions a week or 6-8 sessions a month and a reduced rate monthly rate. Membership/classes at Bodyworks are definitely on the higher end, so this has been great in terms of learning basics via private sessions and getting to know the studio. I have not attended any group classes, which would be an additional fee. I am not sure how people in training get set up with their students outside of recruiting from their personal network, but if you're on the fence about pilates, you enjoy private sessions but the price is out of reach- I say call Bodyworks and see if you can get set up with someone in training. Again- not sure if that's how it works since I personally know my instructor, but it's worth a try! I also recommend checking their website for special events. They host free class sampler days from time to time, which I think is an awesome way to check out a studio and the various classes they teach. Bodyworks is always super peaceful and super clean. I love that everyone contributes to wiping down the equipment, etc. The front desk reception is really the only area that could use some improvement. It's often unattended. I'm not sure if that's just how they run things, but I think the first encounter with any business is super important. Greeting customers, members, potential members and making them feel welcome is invaluable. read more

I'm always told that I look younger than my actual age (love it, of course). and I give most of the credit to the many years that I have been working with the outstanding instructors, on a one to one basis, at Body Works. Through this work, I have strengthened my core, improved my posture (still working on it) but most of all, I have become aware of my body. As a result I have been able to do a lot of self healing when an ache sets in. As soon as I make the correction, it seems the nagging pain disappears. Thank you Body Works. Bodyworks and their talented teachers have helped me regain functional movement after a terrible lower back pain situation. My husband and I have been dedicated Body Works clients for since 2016. The instruction in the Fletchers' Pilates method is beyond effective compared to what we've both experienced in standard Pilates studios elsewhere. Particularly for my husband, his lower back issues were transformed within weeks of beginning the practice. For me, I have had both knees replaced (2019 & 2021) and have recovered more quickly and successfully because of my Body Works instructor and her skill. Body Works Pilates is changing my life. I've always been active, and have been practicing yoga for more than 20 years, but in the past 3-4 years have developed injuries in both knees and degenerative disease in my lumbar and cervical spine. Within 10 minutes of watching me move, the Director of Fletcher Pilates could tell me what kind of imbalances I have that have probably contributed to these injuries. I love this place!! I have been doing coretet group lessons and have had a variety of instructors. They are all different but I have not met one that I don't like. They are all very good about making sure you are getting proper instruction and make you feel very welcome. I was a total pilates beginner and they have been great. I had looked forward to starting private classes at Body Pilates. I had set up times and a convenient schedule that would work for both the teacher and me . I have taken Pilates classes for 12 years and was anxious for new insight and instruction. 5 minutes after my private was to start I was told my teacher could not make it and would I be willing to come back in an hour with another teacher as instructor........ They should have had the courtesy to call the night before. Awful! read more

Visited for several private sessions during my pregnancy and was amazed by the difference I felt. I was having quite a bit of back pain and very hesitant to take medication for it. After the first session I noticed a tremendous improvement. I was so relieved to have a non-drug solution! During my sessions, I saw several different instructors and felt they were all very knowledgable and genuinely concerned with my health and fitness. I was amazed at how they were able to fine tune my sessions and focus on any issue I was having, all the while keeping the movements safe as my pregnancy progressed.
