Before scheduling, I confirmed with my insurance company that the facility was in-network for physical therapy. When I brought an outside PT referral, I was told the department only accepts referrals from its own physicians, so I scheduled an appointment and paid a copay solely to obtain the required referral. After following their instructions, I was then informed that the Physical Therapy department does not accept my insurance plan after all. Had I been told upfront that physician and physical therapy services have different insurance participation requirements--or been directed to verify coverage with billing--I could have avoided an unnecessary appointment, copay, and wasted time. What is most disappointing is the lack of acknowledgment or effort to resolve the issue. The problem isn't just the money; it's that patients deserve accurate information before being asked to schedule appointments and incur costs. I strongly encourage future patients to verify both physician and physical therapy coverage directly with the billing department before scheduling. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning.

I had a total hip replacement done by doctor Charles Springer! 6 months ago. Today is March 18,…read more2025. Dr. Springer answered all my questions. Even the day of surgery while I was already in my operative gown and had been seen by the anesthesiologist. I had another question. Doctor Springer calmly spoke with me and put me at ease. I felt like I was in good hands. His staff is to be commended as well. Whenever I've had a concern, they've addressed my concerns. My knee did swell up with fluid. I was told to come into the office and his assistant drew out 2 1/2 vials of fluid, which can occur. Other than that I had no complications or set backs. I followed the directives regarding my recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Springer for anyone who needs a total hip replacement.

I could not reach anyone from the office and I was without pain medication for 5 days. Worst experience of my life, I thought! Now after 15 month of constant pain, it was determined I am allergic to the metal in the implant and must have it removed. I told Springer this before surgery and his response was "I have never heard of such a thing". Choose your Dr and their practice wisely. If you feels something is not right, trust your instincts and go elsewhere.

I've just returned from a PT session with Carolyn for a muscular neck and back injury I sustained…read morerecently. Intake process and staff , appointment scheduling, payment processing all were amazingly quick and painless, with customer care topnotch. My evaluation, consultation, question and initial discussion with Carolyn were all so impressive, i knew it would be a thorough and professional appointment. My background and degrees are in Health, PE so I was blown away by the thoroughness and expertise of my therapist as she located, isolated injured muscles, tendons and ligaments and helped me through a series of stretches and strengthening exercises, static, dynamic, isometric and isotonic that gently but effectively eased my pain and increased my mobility in this FIrst session! You could not do better than to call and schedule your appointment (PS this is a totally unbiased and unsolicited HIGHEST recommendation from a very satisfied customer!)

I had my first PT session with Select 6/6 of this year. I suffer from extreme lordosis ("sway…read moreback") and DDD, as well as a narrowing of structures in my spinal cord, still, following a spinal fusion 3 years ago. It causes aches that start in my lower back and as long as I am standing or walking it starts after about a minute and persists and only gets worse until I sit, bend completely over 90 degrees, or lie down. :( I'm only 38 years old and this has caused me to be pretty much a complete homebody and gain about 80 pounds. My career as a paramedic is gone. I was very skeptical going to PT as I had gone to two different places here in town, prior to my surgery, and the first I had a terrible experience, and the second may have been good, over time, but I was in an abusive relationship and I did not continue therapy and just had the spinal fusion. I have since left the bf and I am trying to rebuild my life from the ground up. I saw Dr. Vidya Kini for another opinion on my pain, and what to do for it, and not sure if you need someone, but SHE IS THE BEST. MOST THOROUGH, hands-on exam I have ever had by a doctor, even a PCP. She referred me to PT here at Select. From the first phone call (which is hard for me, I suffer also from extreme social anxiety-and it takes me days to answer a number I don't know and even longer to listen to voice mails)- so calling was a big deal in itself. The girl who answered the Friday before my first appt, made me immediately comfortable and I felt like she really cared. Apparently that next week was short-staffed due to some therapists being on vacation, but she squeezed me in that next Monday anyways, saying she wanted to make sure I could start without delay!! I thought that was so nice of her. I came in, and yes, this office does still require masks. But that is no big deal. I am extremely out of shape and have very low stamina, actually to the point that my script for PT says "Deconditioning Syndrome" and there is actually a medical billing code for that But I'm glad she understood it wasn't just me being lazy, etc. and that I needed help. My first therapist that Monday was Megan. And I have to tell you, she's wonderful. I was totally freaked out and struggling with the new patient paperwork, just overwhelmed and frustrated with the pen dropping and my insurance card falling on the floor, with the mask on.. But Megan came out to get me at exactly my scheduled time, and told me I could finish the forms after, which was a relief. She took me back to one of the tables, and it is so large in there, yet intimate therapy. I am against the far wall where 3 of the therapists work on their patients. And they all help each other seamlessly. Really cozy, yet professional dynamic. Props to them all. I have now had biweekly appointments and I am already more limber and the extreme knots and guitar string hard muscles have been almost completely worked out with massage, ultrasound, exercises and at the end you always get the treat of either hot or cold compresses and you lay down or sit up with the TENS unit for 15ish minutes before you are done and walk out on a cloud. I had been to another PT place, and Megan explained it best, some are more like personal trainers, wanting you to start all these exercises, but Megan says the parts that are hurt need relief, first. And the massages feel amazing. Sometimes it does hurt, but they are working out years of me sitting on my duff, having given up, really. I am getting better, despite being extremely skeptical that PT would even do anything for me. I love them and I will keep e1 updated. TY Select
