There were a lot of different varieties it took a bit to give everything the once over, but the ladies working inside were super nice and answered all my questions and even helped direct me to find two button-up Hawaiian shirts that were on sale. After making my purchase they were even nice enough to throw some candy and a puka shell necklace for free. A nice touch. All in all, this was one of the better souvenir shops I visited while in Maui.

Jewelry also is such a great find here with minimalist pieces that you can layer with your own collection or on its own. Prices are also really great too, nothing super pricey and worth the cost of the garment or accessories. I also have to give an amazing shout out to Christina, who is the fabulous associate who worked there and was so kind and helpful (and so so stylish!). I liked the design of the Hawaiian islands (logo of 808) on the back top in the middle of the shirt, when it arrived the feel of the shirt feels nice as well. Definitely not that hard kind of cotton feel I hate but a little on the softer side. Communication throughout the process was great, shipping and delivery of the product was all within a week. When you first walk in, you are treated by lots of local art in vibrant colors. In the back there are cases with eclectic jewelry, many pieces from local artists. There are goddess style dresses, t-shirts and small gift items. Their perfumed oils are heavenly. The prices are on the high end, but this is a tourist mall and the items are unique. I've been searching for a pair of Sterling and Larimar earrings to match a gorgeous pendant and ring I have. Larimar is a sky blue stone from the Dominican Republic. It's rare and very very striking. Most earrings are small drops but I like long dangling earrings that make a statement. I found them here and didn't hesitate to by them immediately! The stones are large and a perfect shade of sky blue hanging from a curved hook so they hang at cheek level. Perfect! They were $138 and I already treasure them. Wish this shop had more jewelry, gifts and clothes! A gem amongst the stores at this mall. The woman waiting on me was super friendly and we easily engaged in conversation. I'll be back!

The quality of clothing is terrible, but I have no choice so I proceeded to shop. When I went to check out, they told me they would not accept my credit card because I did not have a picture ID. Not carrying my entire purse to the beach, of course I did not have it. It was not as much what they said, but how they said it. Demeaning and disrespectful. Telling me that all others find it necessary for their safety, and what was wrong with me. Laughing at me and raising their voices. It was both employees there. They might hate their job or hate tourists. But please don't take it out on us.

The sale rack was adequate but none of the patterns on discount caught my eye. Instead, I ended up finding the regularly-priced shirt I passed up on at their Ala Moana Center location as my second ever purchase. SERVICE: The sole, young gal working was friendly, professional and even walked my bag around to me from behind the counter. Very classy. The only other time that happened was at Nordstrom Ala Moana. OVERALL: Advantage Maui as we have a slightly lower sales tax than Oahu.
