I was browsing the Shop app and came across 808 Clothing as a recommendation, I logged on to the website and they had some nice designs so I decided to purchase one and see how the shirt was. I liked the design of the Hawaiian islands (logo of 808) on the back top in the middle of the shirt, when it arrived the feel of the shirt feels nice as well. Definitely not that hard kind of cotton feel I hate but a little on the softer side. Communication throughout the process was great, shipping and delivery of the product was all within a week. Kinda cool that a postcard was placed in the package thanking me for the purchase and supporting local shops, it also shows who packed it for accuracy, a small 808 sticker and best of all a discount code for buy one get the 2nd 50% off. Definitely will use it! Overall nice experience and will visit the actual store front, if I ever make it to Maui. read more

We went to the 808 clothing store in Kihei at an outdoor type of local shops/mall. The shirts are all very organized and easy for you to see what is available. There are a lot of options and the staff is very friendly to help you out. The designs of the shirts are pretty nice, all designed by local artists. There are shirts, totes, hats, and other accessories that can be purchased from there. I thought it was a great store. I purchased gifts for friends and spent a lot of money, but it was worth it for the number of gifts I purchased. I really enjoyed the service and the selection. read more

Great little clothing shop that features art by local artists! There are men's and women's options including crew neck, tanks, and v-neck in multiple designs and colors. We were looking for matching shirts for our family but they don't have keiki sizes. The clerk there was super friendly and helpful and recommended the extra small tank which fits my five year old like a cool swim dress. She threw in a cool sticker for my little one and a cool cap since she was running a promotion for spending a certain amount. Each shirt is $27, which is the same as shirts in most other stalls we looked at. The difference is the quality! This place not only features designs from local artists, the quality of the shirts is also excellent--softest cotton and designer is a bargain! read more

Always a go-to spot for getting gifts for friends and family on the mainland. Of course I usually get something for myself too esp when they have a buy one get one half off deal. They offer a 10% kama'aina as well. The shirts are all great quality but it's the rad designs that put 808 at the top of my list. What a find! We stumbled into this wonderful establishment while doing some window shopping and waiting for a nearby restaurant to open. They totally are overpriced (unless you find stuff on sale)...and they have a horrible refund/exchange policy...basically no refunds...even on the day off...even within 10 minutes...they will only exchange it...and there are shops within the same complex that sell the same thing but for way less! Save yourself the time and aggravation...the salesperson said she was sorry...if she was really sorry she would have given me my refund! read more

I'm always on the lookout for locally made tees, and 808 clothing is no exception! I loved both the men's and women's designs as well as the color options. The fabric is super soft too. They do run small, but they have a rack of sizes set out to help you get an idea of what size to buy. Bottom line: Cool designs printed here on maui at a great price point. read more

Service is great at the main store, which is different from the small satellite one they have like 500 feet away. This one is beyond the koi pond. Customer service is great. You might wonder why the tags say Made in China, when they keep on promoting all their stuff as made in Maui, so I asked. She said it was because it would be way too expensive to produce the actual fabric/shirts on the islands, but that all the printing and design is done in Maui. Makes sense to me, and I can understand it, but it's a little misleading. Still, I like to support local businesses, so I helped out by buying a bunch of stuff. I like the designs and they have tons of different hats specifically for girls. I found some of the sizes to be small, so I went a size up. And, the girl even threw in some free stickers in our bag. We ran across this store while walking thru the shops in Kihei and it's a really cool store that is owned by a young couple who had a dream! They have really cool designs that are unique, yet simple and I had to buy a couple of shirts and my cousin bought a couple too! It's a pretty small shop, but they have a pretty good selection. The young girl that works at the Kihei shop is very nice and friendly and was very helpful. I think she was just hired the day before when I was there because I heard the owners talking to her and hired her on the spot! But she caught on quickly and was a good hire. There are t-shirt shops and there are t-shirt shops in Hawaii, but I like to support the non-chain shops and this is a good example! Buy a t-shirt the next time you're in the 808 state! read more

We almost walked right past this store because it was so small, but I'm so glad we stopped by and looked at their stuff. The thing that caught my eye was the hat designs that they have. Graphic T-shirts that have marine life designs. It's the perfect place if you'd like to grab a cool shirt with a sea turtle, octopus, or stingray on it, does not appear overly-touristy or cheesy like Hawaiian collared shirts, but their shirts do have a print of the Hawaiian islands on the back to show people you bought that shirt in Hawaii. Prices are good and they offer a graphic design shirt and hat combo for $32 total - not bad considering the quality is above average. Service was great as well - girl behind the counter was quite personable and showed me all the designs, also told me about some items on sale that were not on the racks ($10/each!). So, we went in today and were going to get a couple of t-shirts , like every other year and the gal in the store was really rude, didn't want us touching anything said she was "particular about the way people, look at her shirts" I had chosen my shirt and my husband was looking. He found one but then said he was kinda afraid to touch anything. She got pissed off and said we were being rude and she wasn't going to serve us. There isn't any sign that says ask for assistance. This is an amazing companyl. Founded and ran by a wonderful, loving couple, who started makaing t-shirts and sold them at local swap meet type venues. The quality of the silkscreens is excellent...and wonderful designs that are designed around the experience of being on Maui, and the Hawaiian Islands. They use a really good brand of t-shirts to silkscreen. They don't shrink or fade. Yes, maybe they aren't your 3 for $10 tshirts, but really...do you really want to spend your vacation dollar on something that is going to shrink, and just won't hold up in the long run?
