Cool gift shop with lots of unique tees, love the rooster tee! And pretty jewelry and other "take home" souvenirs. I bought a sweet enamel pineapple pin as a memento of our fabulous trip to Maui! I loved their bamboo section with salt cellars, cutting boards, utensils and also the nifty tea towels! I'll be going back again before we leave to snatch up some more treasures! read more

I walked in here last week to return my Snorkel Store rental gear. I then walked out with all sorts of items after spending $200+. Great pricing and so we had lots of stuff. Amazing to find locally made things, not just touristy "stuff". Really lovely dichroic jewellery made right in Kihei. And as it turns out - by someone I know! Located in South Kihei, just between Kamaole I and II beaches on the island/mountain side of the road. There's a cinnamon bun shop, ice cream, Maui Dive shop, Whaler's Village, and a Denny's. Pretty much a full-service little corner of South Kihei. Cool T-shirts,*huge* selection. Something for everyone - even Canadian-centric t-shirts. Tops, dresses, beachwear, wraps etc. I enjoy shopping here for some of the non-standard Un-kitschy things. And they sure do pack a huge selection into this shop! Looking for Hawaiian-themed pet items? They carry Aloha Dog company leashes, collars and even St. Francis charms for your critter collar! Matted photos (great ones) to take home, such a huge selection. Turtles, whales, waves, beaches... some trips you can't get a good photo to save yourself. Come buy an affordable piece that you can enjoy when you get back to the mainland. Great things, no pressure to buy, browse and come look as many times as you like. This shop is off the beaten path - away from the market places closer towards Foodland. Their selection of Hawaiian-made dresses was impressive for a small shop! Good selection of crocs and their lotions are cheaper than the mart on the corner - forgot what the name of it is, kind of like another ABC Store. Has the usual tchotchkes like most souvenir shops, I just liked the selection here. They close at 9:00 pm which is a plus too! read more

Great family run shop with a huge variety of well made, good quality clothes at a great price, which we found hard to come by when shopping around!! Everyone in our family found something they loved- as they have great options for men, women, children as well as they had some cute clothes for our furry friends. We have visited many shops in Maui looking for some unique t-shirts and tank tops for my husband. This shop by far, has the best selection of tank tops, clothing for all ( including kids ) and other unique gifts and souvenirs. The owner was extremely helpful and friendly. A great plus is that the store is family owned and products made are actually from the Islands! RUDE RUDE RUDE!!!! I came here with my hubby and kids as we were walking around after getting ice cream. The minute we walked in a lady screamed no food. Ok no problem I stepped out and kids finished their ice cream then we enter. We start looking around and I hear the worker say hat's are not for play. Um my son legitimately wanted a hat so ofcoarse we were gonna try it. Reminded my kids not to touch anything. I felt like we were being watched and very unwelcomed. She literally corrected one of us every 5seconds. This is not how you treat customers. We are not people who don't watch our kids or ruin things. Ugh So annoyed. So you know what I will go next store and spend a couple hundred bucks there! read more

This place was awesome and the Gentlemen that helped us could not be more accommodating. We got shirts, swim gear, dog collars, surf medallions, slippahs, water shoes, hats and some souvenirs for the our trip back home. While not the most inexpensive shop we had been in Maui, it was not the most expensive either. Plus, some of the items we found were unique only to this store. Our last visit we actually made a two visits to the shop, to get a t-shirt we could only find there for some friends as a gift. Also talking to the clerk he gave us some great recommendations to places in the area to eat. I would say if you are going to be in the Kihei area and are looking for unique items at a fair price you should check this place out. I and my girlfriend will definitely be back on our next trip to Maui. read more

This is my favorite store on Maui to get "take home treasures" from. Everything they sell is wonderful quality. All the shirts are soft and comfortable the first time you put them on- not crunchy or uncomfortable like they are when you buy them from other souvenir shops. This isn't the typical souvenir shop with a bunch of stuff made in China that every other place has, they have local made lotions, and other things made on Maui that are much more fun to take home to loved ones! Along with great quality products I have also received wonderful quality customer service. The employees are all very helpful and nice, especially Wendy! I always "Take home treasures" from this little gem in South Kihei. I have been all over the island and some of that travel involves shopping and I always return to this store in South Kihei. Tim goes beyond the call of duty helping customers and the entire staff is friendly. I always buy my own little gift there. I found in June the coolest hoodie, lightweight and comfortable. I will wear it in Seattle area to be reminded of the warm sands of Maui. I also found a really cool turtle tee shirt. (Ok , I bought some gifts for others as well!!!) The first thing I noticed were identical items that I had purchased from others stores but the cost at Take Home Treasures was lower. The prices on sterling silver items was significantly lower than any of the shops we had visited. While leaving the store I read that this is a locally owned family store. Take Away Treasures is a lovely souvenir shop with excellent customer service! Wendy was super patient and helpful, especially since we were in there on Christmas Day. The prices are very reasonable (considering its right in the tourist area of Kihei) and you can find a lot of Maui made presents for your people (or pets) back on the mainland. We found this a great place to get good quality souvenirs for ourselves and our family. We bought nice shirts and hats here. Selection and quality is great and prices are good too. A short bike or drive from Wilea and much more reasonable. In a fun area with beach and restaurants makes for a nice Hawaiian outing for a day. I also lost my sunglasses in the store and the owner found them a week later and shipped them back to me....a small business owner with great integrity. read more
