My husband cancelled his contract 3 years ago in 2023. We weren't charged for 3 years and then suddenly we were charged in 2026 for the "annual fee." For a service we aren't even using. In the last year I've worked out in all of the major gyms in the Permian Basin. Although at first somewhat hesitant to join Flex as the other commercial gyms offer "cheaper plans"; I am not disappointed I made the choice to join Flex 24. Flex 24 is a first class facility. I can't stress enough how clean this gym is from the moment you walk in the door, the clean locker rooms, readily available towels, disinfecting spray and towels at almost every station, to the dedicated staff that is cleaning and organizing the entire time. In regards to equipment; it's all there. Nice layout and outdoor area as well. My favorite thing about this gym is unlike the "major commercial gym" in town; no one is standing around and gossiping blocking equipment use. If you're focused and know what you're doing, working out here is a breeze. The staff is very courteous and helpful if needed. Over the years I've had memberships at 10+ gyms all over the state but I've been at Flex for 5+ years now and love it. Even during their peak hours there's always something to do, the equipments always clean, and when something is out of service its fixed or replaced quickly. The staff is friendly and always bouncing around, if you want to skip cardio the sauna's a great way to get the heart rate elevated, and when you want to mix it up step out back for a good circuit. When your done stop up front for the best shakes in town! If you're looking for a good gym to call home in Odessa where you can see your dues being put back into the facility, I highly recommend Flex. So much so that I recently enrolled my company for a corporate account to provide memberships for up to 40 guys at a very reasonable annual rate. If I could I would give it -5 I enjoyed this gym for my 1 year contract duration period. After the 1 year contract was up I turned in my key and asked to discontinue membership. I sent an email as told to do. 2 months later they are billing me. Management is never there when I go in person to resolve this issue. I call and no one answers. I email and get the run around. This gym while in appearance pleases the eye, it was the worst gym I have every delt with! I will start by noting that the sauna they sold me on was not open until 6 MONTHS after the initial date and a lot of the equipment is broken. The second is that that they tried to charge for the crossfit classes initially ( i spoke to them about this noting that it was a "class" just like all the other classes they offered and members should not be charged an extra $60 a month). Other issues from the childcare facility comes from not being able to take the children to the bathroom and letting them pee or poop on themselves is crazy ( I had a 2 yr old and 5 yr old) and then they come and get you during your workout to take them to the bathroom. There are only 2 workers to some 30+ children and there have been several times my child has had serious injuries, from not being watched by the adults. Another issue was that they linked my credit card to another members account and when they realized the mistake went into my bank account and took an additional $300 ( i have proof of this as well). They apologized and credited the money back into my account; Elly seeing how upset I was gave me a month free, but guess what I was charged again. The owner however was UN-sympathetic and said he would not have even given me a month free! The final straw has been the relocation for my job. I went to them trying to get out of the contract and they said no one was able to get out (Stephanie who has now replaced Elly could not even produce my original contract). She then showed me my spouses contract and yes the contracting is binding even in death they are able to come after your estate!!! I paid the cancellation fees ($350 + 50 ( a month of gym that I will not be able to use) as well as taxes= $429). This gym has been the worst experience ever, so much that my husband and I have sworn off gyms forever!!!!!! read more

This gym was okay for the distance when living in Odessa. There isn't much space to do any circuit training and a lot of the equipment is down and takes a long time to be repaired. They have kids running the smoothie bar and they always shut it down early so they can get out. It is extremely overpriced though. We signed up for a membership and paid just shy of $70 a month. When I moved to Midland she told me in order to break my contract I would have to pay a $350+ tax buy out fee (moving to Midland wasn't a valid reason for contract cancellation). I had 5 months left and I wasn't driving 30 min both ways to work out. So I decided to pay until it ended in March because I would have been paying less than the buyout fee. Come March, I paid my final bill and finally canceled my membership (after of not being able to contact the owner Stephanie for a week). She gave the run around about how she was so busy she couldn't get back to me. Whatever. So I returned my key April 16th. A few days later I'm charged for APRIL!!! Not okay. Especially after being told it wouldn't happen. I reached out to her on April 17th and I still haven't heard a response. I reached out again a few days later letting her know I will be disputing the charge. Still no response. It's now the 26th. Luckily my bank refunded me the money, and stopped future charges from Flex 24. But enough is enough!! Terribly unprofessional on their end. If you want a spot to workout and not break your bank or get duped, this is NOT the spot for you. read more

The equipment is hard to beat. Free weights, isolation, power lifting and cardio. 24/7 access is great. The owner does invest in new equipment. However, the gym is poorly managed, equipment poorly maintained and filthy filthy, Very common to find no soap in the wash room, The staff shows little motivation. Vehicle break-ins are common in their parking area. I belong to several gyms and travel to many others on a frequent basis. All much more organized and better staffed with knowledgeable employees. The overall rating for this place is mediocre. Fortunately, some real competition has seized the opportunity and has moved in. read more

I have been going to flex 24 since i moved to Odessa almost four years ago. The staff have always been friendly and greeted everyone with a smile on their face. The gym is never congested or dirty. People complain about the pricing, but its the nicest gym in the area and the people who go there respect the gym and do their part to not completely trash the gym. I'm posting a review because I read the others and was shocked. I was referred to Flex 24 when I moved here and I bought a 12 month membership right off the bat; about $70 a month. I've only used the cardio equipment, but they all seem to work when I've been in and are kept clean. Most of the time I went to the afternoon RPM classes. One of the instructors, Jennifer, is awesome and a great motivator! Her class is always full. They have a wide variety of classes offered for men and women and a children/day care-type facility for the little ones. However, when I brought a guest to the RPM class, they charged her $16 for a 45 minute work-out. Perhaps something could be done there... I don't use the locker rooms, but when they gave me an initial tour of the place, the women's locker room was clean and tidy. I've never had a problem with noise or disruption in my work-out. Elly at the front desk is very sweet and helpful and I've never had an issue! Good place to work out and take a class or two! read more

Despite some fairly nice staff, my overall experience has been bad. The owner is very bad at customer service, to say the least, downright rude, to be nice. They have taken money from my account without notice, linked my debit card to another member's account and then, when they noticed that I "hadn't been paying on my account" took over $300 from my account without any prior notification. The owner has been very difficult to work with. I was recently relocated because of my job and they will not let you out of the account for any reason, including death. Read the contract. You CANNOT be let out of the contract for any reason and the fees are astounding for breaking the contract. Would highly recommend you go to any other gym in town. You will not like the customer service at this one. Especially if you are oil field. There are too many other gyms in town to let this one's nice appearance fool you. I repeat: Do Not Sign the Contract for anything but month to month and don't let your friends do it either! read more

I've been a member of Flex for several years now and ran across these reviews and I was confused! When signing a contract, you should read what you are signing! The document states clearly what level of membership you are purchasing! I now live in Midland and the gyms here are crazy expensive! Usually $150.+ and that's not including childcare! The staff at Flex are very personable and try to answer any of your questions. The smoothie bar is the best around and the childcare is clean, well run and fun! There is a TV in the play area however, with the big jungle-gym, the kiddos are not sitting in front of the TV, they are EXERCISING too! The yearly upgrade was confusing to me at first, then I realized other gyms in bigger cities do the same. To see the upkeep it takes to keep a gym running properly I gladly pay the yearly upgrade and look forward to what they add or upgrade. They isn't a gym in the Permian Basin where you can get "the whole package". I would highly recommend the classes, the girls are truly team players! read more

do not get a membership here, they will lock you into a contract that costs 350$ to get out of without telling you that you can sign up for a month to month contract. they will not talk to you in person and once you give them your credit card the only way they will stop billing you is if you cancel the card. the spa never works and they dont fix anything, stay away from flex24!!!!! read more
