The employee who helped us, Gabriela, did not greet or acknowledge us when we walked in. When we tried to ask questions, we felt like we were inconveniencing her. Her responses came across as annoyed, unclear, and unhelpful. We did kindly bring up how the interaction was coming across, hoping it would improve, but the experience continued the same way. What surprised us the most was learning that she is training for a management role, because managers have such a big impact on the culture and environment of a gym. We understand everyone can have a bad day, but kindness, communication, and making people feel welcome go a long way, especially in the fitness industry.
