Flex Motion Physical Therapy is the best place to get physical therapy. First I went in for a knee injury, which my therapist Mitsy helped me heal. To this day, I still use the stretches and exercises she taught even though my injury has healed because they're so functional and easy to incorporate into my leg day routine. Now, I'm getting therapy for scapular dyskinesia. This time, it's much harder to create the mind-muscle connection, but my therapist Alex gives me great tips and he spends a lot of time with me to make sure I have good form. Slowly, I can tell my posture is improving. Finally, the ladies at the office are always very helpful with scheduling my appointments. They remember my name, which makes me feel welcomed. I drive here almost 30-40 minutes every time to get physical therapy but it's completely waste of time. The session must be 30 minutes but it never last more than 15 min. This year my goal was to try and heal my back so I don't have pain all the time anymore. My physical therapist, Alex, was amazing. Halfway through our sessions this year the middle part of my back popped into place and I knew I had the right person for the job. I can tell you honestly that I was super demanding of him, but he catered to what I told him I needed and dealt with me for the 3 months with patience and professionalism. I had done all my physical therapy after a car accident in 2017, but unfortunately after going regularly for about a year I was still in a lot of pain and I could tell my back was still out in multiple places. Sitting and standing both hurt. Even laying down. Being a very physical person all my life, and hurting to stand was very depressing. Even more was that I tried. I did everything I was told to do and it didn't work!!! I felt like I had wasted my time. I finally had time to try again. But this time I knew what I wanted and I wouldn't settle for less. I explained to Alex that my structure before the accident was of an athlete. I didn't play Barbie's as a kid, I hiked and biked, built forts, danced etc. I got a silver medal at 19 in a triathlon, i lived in the water as a child, ive done lots of yoga, dance, Pilates, roller skating etc. Im a brown belt in martial arts. I told him that with every excersize I needed his help in making sure my posture was correct because my body would remember the balance. Because all the activities I spent the most time on were whole body, balanced activities and so my body should remember and go back to a strong balanced equilibrium with the right focus and intention. He understood the assignment and committed to my healing. See, the issue with my other physical therapists was that unfortunately a lot of them don't do the exercises they teach and have never actually healed someone else's back let alone their own. What I must have sensed from Alex was that he had actually healed his own back from an accident. So instead of seeing me as a difficult woman, Alex listened to me and gave me exactly what I needed and he had the training and personal experience to be super effective. Halfway through when I knew my trust in Alex was warranted because half of my back popped into place, I told him that my plan after our scheduled session were done, was for my back to be healed and for me to no longer need him. lol. Tall order I know. But that's what I wanted and that's what I was dreaming and working for, so I let Alex know clearly. Both Alex and I worked for this goal. Alex even pushed me in the last few weeks with a movement that was super emotional and was really hard for me but necessary. In my physical and emotional brokeness, I hunched over for protection. To not be seen. To protect my heart and my vulnerability. Though it made me angry and released a lot of sadness etc, Alex pushed me to stand up straight again and hold my head up strong. And so I worked through the emotions and right before our sessions were done the upper part of my body started to pop back into place. Now I've been working on standing up straight again for about a month and I think I may be standing stronger than I ever have! Seriously, because I think I've always hunched over a bit protecting my vulnerable heart and trying to not be seen sometimes. To be small. Although I still have some pain, I think the pain I rarely feel now can hopefully mostly just go away with more stretching and excersize I am so grateful to Alex and the team at Flex Motion Physical therapy. I am finally myself again! I'm feeling strong and I mostly don't have pain for the first time in 8 years. I am back to myself, jumping off things and using my body to visibly express my joy through movement. I you need a good physical therapist in Glendale, go see Alex. Thank you again Alex. A great place to go too! I had a car accident in December and then got approved in June for physical therapy for my neck. Just with my first session I knew this was a good place because they don't just say "here's a massage and you're good" They make you work. As for mine, I did a variety of exercises to strengthen my neck to no longer need medication to sleep. The staff was kind and attentive even when it's busy! I recently started doing my therapy here. I injured my scapula on my back. The pain was horrible. Alex is my therapist. He is great. He explains everything in detail , and truly seems to care about his job. He's not just doing it because he has to I feel like he wants to be there and after two sessions I am starting to feel better. It does take a while to get an appointment. I had to wait at least a week but it was well worth it. The staff is very busy, but they are friendly . Definitely worth trying out. From a physiology and anatomy perspective, Heather was able to identify my problem areas through her assessment, then develop an effective treatment plan. Unfortunately had to change my review again after dealing with the awful "customer service" from Liana and Annette. It took a phone call and 4 emails before the 2 could be bothered to explain my statement. My issue is with Liana not answering my questions and concerns. After not getting any answers, I started dealing with Annette who would only email me from Liana's email account? This is beyond unprofessional. How am I supposed to know if I'm actually talking to the person in charge? Emails are still not answered in full. Very disappointed in the management of this facility. Came here for my shoulder treatment, instead of giving me sessions with 2 days gap, they gave me appointments with 15-20 days gap. Whenever i come on time they make me wait 15-20 minutes and when im 15 min late they cancel my appointment yet still my insurance get charged. Some workers are nice but management is useless, better teach workers a better customer service skills. No wonder most therapists left. read more

I drove 40 minutes to my appointment, which was at 5 PM. I arrived 3 minutes late. The front desk receptionist took my insurance card information, my copay, and had me fill out 5 pages of medical history to then be told at 5:20 that the doctor will not see me because I was late. BY THREE MINUTES. I don't know what world they live in, but remember that I am the customer and without me, you don't get paid. I thought the way they handled the situation was incredibly unprofessional and I will not be back. I also hope this establishment, and the way they run their business in the future, learns to be gracious to its customers who leave work early and who drive in rush hour traffic to honor an appointment time. Can't believe they are still in business and operating in this manner. read more

Overall a very poor experience and not what I expected at all based on the reviews. I felt this was a complete waste of my time. I came here because my doctor ordered physical therapy and this place had positive reviews and near term availability. When I arrived, I noticed the space looked very outdated and cramped. This place feels more like a factory than a medical office, with workers at desks in the same area as the patients doing exercises. It looks very different than the pictures on Yelp. I was asked to sit on an exercise bike to fill out paper work because their waiting area, which is part of a larger room where people are doing PT, has a grand total of two chairs for patients. Then I was asked to put on and wear a mask for the entire appointment including the therapy session, despite not even needing a mask to go to the hospital these days. For therapy I was led to a back room by the therapist who never introduced herself. I was quickly questioned about my injury, examined and then given a brief massage for less than 10 minutes. The massage was not bad, which is why I'll tack on an extra star. Then I was given electro therapy for another 10 minutes, which was quite uncomfortable. During the electro therapy I was given a bell to ring to get someone's attention if I needed anything, and then the therapist left the room. After that, I was told I was done and then left to see myself out. To top it all off, I learned nothing about exercises or stretches to do at home to improve on my own. read more

I had a work injury and needed 6 sessions of physical therapy for my neck so my work comp insurance referred me here. Front desk girl is super nice and she tried to accommodate me with my crazy work schedule. The doctor seemed nice but in general all the PT places have become nothing but a waste of time (I hate generalizing but I've been to many other PT places as well and the doctor or the techs do something for 5 minutes and the rest you're on your own doing exercises which can be done at the gym or at home). I did the first session which was consultation and a quick 5 minute massage by the doctor, the second session I went in and the doctor did hand massage for again 5 minutes and I started doing exercises with the technician which I know they won't help. So I canceled the rest of my appointments cause honestly it was a waste of time. Knowing and feeling how bad my neck and upper back was I would expect a more detailed hand massage to ease up the tension rather than doing basic gym exercises which I already do. read more

So glad i tore my hamstring because i would have never found Annette and Flex Motion Physical Therapy! Joking aside I'm really fond of this place and the level of professionalism they exhibit. The location is great and somewhat private and I could tell they take their work very seriously. Annette, the physical therapist on staff, makes sure she understands the root of the problem and looks for long term solutions not just quick fixes. She lays out a plan for recovery and follows through on it every appointment. I haven't gone to any other physical therapist before so i don't have a basis of comparison but in addition to the electro-stimulus pads she also does a deep tissue massage with her hands for at least 15 min. I have canceled the rest of my appointments I had already scheduled with them and I'm going to different PT right now. The first 3 sessions were great they taught me exercises to strengthen my knee injury & recommended KT tape. Coming to my fourth session I was feeling all sorts of pain and I tried to address the pain to Annette PT. It seem like I was talking to a "Wall" she didn't assist me in any type of exercises, giving me attitude (you can tell by her face expression) that she didn't wanna have anything to do with. Definitely worst PT ever. Other PT such as Andre and Ken were great Therapist that has the consideration for their patients needs. read more
