A solid 2.5 stars overall. The PT process has been fairly fine. The actual therapists are very nice. Parking is a bit tricky here as the lot is small but there usually is at least one spot. But the main reason I would suggest going to any other local PT location in the Burbank area is the main woman running the front desk is the least customer facing person I've seen in a while. That is not a way to run a business or the first thing you want someone to experience when they enter the office. She's grumpy, yells at customers and isn't there to help your experience be better especially when booking more appointments. And she certainly doesn't take suggestions to improve the experience well at all. 0 of 5 stars on service there Imperial. Some basic customer service 101 goes a long way. read more

I received discriminatory treatment from the staff. The front office overbooked us for 4 weeks in a row. We came at the appointment time but ALWAYS had to wait for 30 mins while the treatment isn't even 25 mins. The therapist HADJI doesn't seem care nor want to treat us. When I asked why we're not seeing on the appointed time, the front office lady who seems to be the manager always said we're overbooked and don't have room. There's NO communication that letting us know they're overbooked and going to change the schedule. They used to do that but they've been giving us BAD treatment as if they REFUSED to provide the service. However, they can't say NO since the owner wants money. read more

This 1-star review is specifically for the receptionist. I checked in for my 4:30 PM appointment and was told to take a seat. About 10 minutes later, someone confirmed my name. I then sat and watched as my entire appointment time ticked away. When I finally went back to the desk, the receptionist acted surprised to see me. She then blamed me for sitting in the "corner chair" (it was the only one available in the tiny 5-chair waiting room), claiming she "couldn't see me." This is the second time I have been completely forgotten in this waiting room. Missing an entire appointment is frustrating but being blamed by the receptionist after following her instructions is unprofessional and unacceptable. While the therapists themselves are knowledgeable, professional, and friendly, it's a shame that professionalism doesn't extend to the rude and incompetent front office. read more

- I have mixed feelings about this place. Pros: - On one hand I found some of the PT's that work there were super nice and helpful. - The front desk staff: one was was pleasant, but the other one was curt and unnecessarily over-complicated thing's. - The parking lot is small but their is there is also street parking Cons: - First couple of months went well and my back I felt better, but then one of the Pt's overstretched my leg which injured it , and then my hip got injured by them and I could barely walk. These 2 new injuries were new problems I didn't have before I came to see them. I just kept getting more & more injured the more I went there. I'm glad I finally decided to seek an another Physical Therapy office. - typically had my 6 appointments but then Imperial would forget to reach out to my insurance to request more visits. This often resulted in at least 2 weeks or more without treatment. This doesn't happen at new physical therapy office I switched to and they do it in 2 or 3 days. - Imperial didn't forward therapy notes or progress reports to my doctor even after I repeatedly requested they do so. It kept my doctor in the dark and this delayed getting the appropriate medical care and imaging (ultrasound and MRI,s) - There was poor communication with main DPT. He couldn't clearly communicate a treatment plan for me. Or why I got more injured during their care. - The office facilities are totally inadequate. From the tiny waiting room, to most of the treatment rooms. Even the room where they have you exercises is too small and poorly designed. - In the end, them being nice isn't enough. For their patients: they need to provide the right type of therapy, communicate better and have a clear treatment plan.The front of the office needs to be more organized, and needs to improve on the admin stuff like making appts, taking payments, and requesting additional appts. read more

Imperial Physical is a fine service provider. The office is clean and the technicians are knowledgeable. The only issue preventing me from giving 5 Stars is the office. When I left there were so many people in the small office space, I had to leave and call back to make my next appointment. I called 3 times and got voicemail each time. Took 2 more days before someone called me back to make my next appointment. read more

The owner doesn't seem to care. Rather worn down and crowded. While the PT's are great, they are distracted from focus having to double and triple up on clients at the same time. The biggest problem is Anoush at the front desk. Rude, and inefficient, if she answer's the phone at all. read more

His very knowledgeable about his job and listens to what you need and helps you get/feel results. His super easy to talk to and explains things well. Worst place ever! I have never in my life been to a physical therapy place that does not do a proper intake and physical evaluation before doing any exercises what so ever. The therapist didn't even ask me what was wrong with my spine before he started moving me all around. My back has been more messed up since I was there too just from the few things that they did without bothering to check what I have. (Like RA, fibromyalgia, disc disease, and got hit by a car!!!) After the therapist messed up my back he proceeded to lift my shirt up and had some young man who's not a licensed massage therapist give me a back rub with oil. Hello, it says on my form I have pain with pressure and touch. You should of read it. Not to mention in the beginning of my stay I waited a good 30 mins having to listen to a bunch of them yell and scream talking about the shootings and Fox news and laughing so loud it hurt my ears and gave me a headache. Nobody cares what your personal opinions are on gun violence or political topics. KEEP POLITICS OUT OF THE WORKPLACE. I certainly don't want to hear it when I'm trying to relax. I hear enough of it on my own time. You people are very unprofessional. This is not a nightclub, your dinner table, or a social gathering. It's a place where people go to get physical therapy not hear a bunch of loud yammering. Learn how to properly do an intake and address patients needs. And tell your staff to lower the volume on the babbling and outbursts of laughter in front of patients, it's annoying and unprofessional. Your office is ghetto. Terrible. Do not go here. I was referred from my orthopedist because I had a small tear in my shoulder. My first (and only) appoint at Imperial--they didn't have my medical records, the therapist barely listened to me while I described my problem, he proceeded to give me an electrical stimulation and some at home exercises with barely any explanation. The next day my arm had locked up and I was in so much pain that I had to go to urgent care for a shot just so I could sleep. It took 6 weeks of pain management and a new therapist (Glendale Adventist in Eagle Rock. Amazing difference.) for my arm to return to normal. Avoid this place at all costs!! read more

i would give this place half a star or no star for rating if i could. the care quality is terrible. i was there on October 16th for my 5th session (tried giving them the benefit of doubt) but they just worse every time. on my last session they couldn't get the electrode pads stick on my shoulder. i guess they were using old ones and were so cheap to use new ones. i would definitely not recommend anybody to them as i canceled my remaining 6 sessions. read more

I was supposed to start physical therapy for my shoulder today since I had surgery at the end of February. I had actually confirmed the appointment for today at 11. I show up and the location is closed with no indication when they will reopen. I thought physical therapy is considered an essential service. On August 14, 2019, I was rear ended on the freeway while traffic had come to a stop. I was in shock and the adrenaline was flowing heavily into my system. At the time I had not idea how badly I was injured until I realized that I couldn't barely raise my right arm; several weeks passed and It was clear that I was in need of physical therapy. I was sent to Imperial Physical Therapy in Burbank, Calif. and I couldn't be more thankful. I have received excellent physical therapy. The office is small but nice and clean. The parking lot is a little on the small side, but they rarely double book so you shouldn't have to much trouble getting a parking spot. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Gabby is the receptionist and she is warm, welcoming, inteligente and personable. Anthony, Peter and Michael are very respectful and skilled at their jobs. I am so glad that I was cared for by the staff at this office. I recommend this location. read more

Making my appointment I was somewhat skeptical in how I might just be alright without my physical therapy being that my surgery went so well? However I pressed onward and made my appointment. I was registered & greeted by a young vibrant busy staff. There were stretching, slight poking, shocking (electrólisis) and releasing of pressure to accomadate a quicker recovery. I had gone here a couple years ago after having a neck spasm. They worked out the kinks and I felt much better. Then earlier in the year I had tendinitis in my hands and I was sent back to Imperial Physical Therapy to treat my hands, wrists and arms. I was probably there a couple times a week for maybe 4 months. Everyone was super friendly. They listened and paid attention to the pains I had and adjusted every session to help me treat it. I've been getting more pain in my neck and shoulders from using the computer for long hours, so I decided it was time to visit a physical therapist. I'm so glad I did because it has helped with the pain. My physical therapist at Imperial showed me exercises I could do at home. I also really appreciate the time he took to explain why my neck and shoulders were straining from my computer use and taught me how to set up my computer station properly. By learning how I was causing that strain, I am now more aware of my posture and set up while on the computer and am always mindful of taking quick breaks. Imperial has definitely improved my neck and shoulder pain and my posture. read more

I had to go to Imperial Physical Therapy for my hip injury. After 5 sessions I decided to go elsewhere because they could not successfully solve my problem. To make matters worse, I was shocked when I received the bill in the mail. I was charged $160 per session!! My insurance paid for some of the costs but there is absolutely no way my treatment was worth $160 per session. I have had physical therapy for past sports related injuries so I Know a good physical therapist when I see one. My advice to you is to stay clear of this place!! read more

Injured my hand and it required surgery in order to correct the problem. After the surgery was completed, my hand did not feel the same and I had restricted hand and finger movement. I was referred to Imperial Physical Therapy and after a few sessions, I was already able to feel the improvement in motion in my fingers. Physical therapy has really helped me get back on track and I was able to both type on the computer again and get back to playing sports again. I appreciate the knowledge from my physical therapist and would recommend them to anyone that needs physical therapy! read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. This place was absolutely gross. It was old and all machinery looked ancient. The therapist I saw had not clue what she was doing. She actually fought with me over my diagnosis, saying I was mistaken. All I could think the entire time I was that I wanted to to leave and never come back...which is what I did! read more

The therapy office is small and has two different sections. I came here and had knee pain. I seen Tope and he had me back on my feet in no time. He sat there and taught me more about my injury and explained what was going on with me. He took his time with me and showed a lot of compassion. The place is not very up to date and does not feel sanitary. My therapist was nice enough but asked very few questions. Every time I came there they just put a electronic massager on me for 20 min and then I was done. That cost me 30 in co-pay every time. I just bought one of those massagers on Amazon for 30 bucks and will just do my own therapy. Really useless and a total waste of money. The one time when my therapist was on vacation, they stuck me with another therapist and I was treated at the same time as another person. Not very private at all. read more

I had two appointments here, the second one was an opportunity for this business to do better. It didn't. My first visit consisted of some fairly lackluster movement that wouldn't have strained my dead stroke victim grandmother. This was followed by 12-15 minutes of electric current applied to my upper back. I asked what the amour of current was, and what the voltage was, the guy had no idea. If you're going to be applying electrical current to somebody's body you should know at least what a safe amount of amperage is for the human body. Anyway, this didn't bother me as much as the fact that it made me feel much worse. That, coupled with the face down time on the crappiest cheap massage table ever. I've been on plenty of those things, and this was the worst. Really hurt my face. And my back/shoulder pain was much worse when the procedure was over. It did not improve. I went back the following week on the off chance that there would be some difference in the treatment, but it didn't happen. The guy couldn't even remember where the pain was that caused me to seek treatment in the first place. All he remembered was that I didn't like the table because it was so uncomfortable on my face. I was unimpressed. I endured the electrical routine in a sitting position, and now my back & shoulder are even worse. These people are frauds and quacks and I wouldn't go back there for any reason. read more
